Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Extermination procedures for SCP-631 are to remain in effect until further notice. Information regarding civilian disappearances in SCP-631's environment (urban and suburban areas of the United States) is to be monitored, with particular regards to the areas outlined in Document-631-T. Disappearances related or believed to be related to SCP-631 are to be filtered (standard media blackout procedures apply). Said incidents are to be investigated promptly, and should an instance of SCP-631 be identified, it must be terminated immediately. In the event that no SCP-631 are in Foundation custody, the instance must be captured instead. Agents involved in SCP-631 recovery or termination must be supplied with thermal imaging equipment.

To summarize:
Flying crab scorpion with bat wings. Invisible and flies during the day. Gets scared at night. Stings and kills people at night. Eats and lays eggs in the body. Dies right after. Was biologically engineered by a company, and bought by a politician to use on people so he could get reelected.
So we are researching these lethal specimens and keeping 1 alive, just because we couldn't get our hands on all of the research papers when they were made? The Foundation needs to send a security team to find this politician and Dr. and "politely" ask them some questions. They can be a potential security leak, but nothing a media blackout and amnesia can't fix. I still feel this specimen is a waste of Foundation time and resources in researching it. It should be disposed of as soon as possible. When the original research papers or anything detailing the specimens creation sequence are found the Foundation should execute a Neutralize order upon this specimen. We need to make sure no more of these things are made.

Small criticism: If Doctor Miller is supposed to be from the United States, the word "vitamin" needs to have a long I in the first syllable, not a short one.
I keep on forgetting the smalls things like that.

Some Americans say "vitamin" say it with a short I for the first syllable instead of a long I in the first syllable. I say "vitamin" with a long and short I in the first syllable.
To add to this (audio is overall phenomenal by the way), endocrine and what I’m guessing was acetaldehyde would be two other words to check American English pronunciations for-in general though, you really have mastered the accent!

I would love to hear my favorite SCP 1689 "The Sack of Potatoes" 🥔. Its a lot darker than it sounds. But I i do love these have been binge watching them all.
I gave my D&D players an item similar to that SCP, a bag of holding potatoes. They found it hilarious and loved it. They have yet to find it's darker secrets as they sill think it's just a regular bag of holding that someone somehow filled with potatoes.

Great SCP Reading. 631 reminds me a lot of the Chryssalids from XCOM, only more stealthy/sneaky. Been enjoying all the SCP's you've covered. I've mainly stuck to the SCP readings, where you have the tape player in the video. Since I recall you mentioning you were re-recording some older recordings?
I do hope you manage to do something with Researcher Miller, and add him to the SCP metaverse in some manner. I get a chuckle out of imagining Researcher Miller, trying to introduce Dr Bright and the list of things, he's not allowed to do. Or Miller being teamed up with Bright, for an assignment.

I think the copyrights make it impossible, or at least very hard. All of the SCPs are under the creative commons. If I understand correctly that means that they can't be used for commercial purposes. If a tv show existed, it would have to be funded though something like Patreon, instead of ads.

Well, there are over 4000 SCPs, and there's actually less Keters than Safes and Euclids. There's still a lot, but Keter SCPs are considered the hardest to write, along with Joke SPCs and humanoid
Even Euclids can kill. Euclid just means they are able to be contained and don't try to escape if I recall.
Safe, euclid and keter is a rough measure of how difficult an scp is to contain, as outlined in this short statement:
If you put it in a box and nothing bad happens, it's probably safe.
If you put it in a box and you don't know what will happen, it's probably euclid.
If you put it in a box and it escapes easily, it's probably keter.
If it is the box, it's probably thaumiel.
So, for instance, a knife that causes an irresistible urge to murder when held and exhibits no traits beyond that, is safe, while a cat that randomly switches place with another cat somewhere else on the planet is keter.
What would the Mirelurk Queen and King be like in fallout if they could cloak.

You say "Good morning," but joke's on you, I'm watching this at night.
Excellent job, as always. The one thing I dislike about some SCPs is that they don't quite make sense sometimes. Like, what is the end goal? You create a super apex predator that specifically kills humans. It reproduces asexually, produces multiple offspring, and has no method of direct control. So you effectively just started a pandemic in the hopes that you kill the right people. What happens after they're dead?
It's a mayor or some other elected official creating a nocturnal superpredator to kill homeless people (and anyone else sleeping outside, thus the margin of error), assuming a sunny place with a homeless problem, like California.

In his literal file they state that if they find a way to kill him, do it so no for some SCPs research is and containment are a top priority but for the Keter there's an exception since you know they could literally end the freaking world if they got out!! So yeah I'm sure researching how those crabs cloak themselves is worth risking the end of the world for
cian cusack keter doesn't automatically mean they could end the world. It means first and foremost that they are very difficult to contain. Some keter class objects are harmless. It just so happens that most meter are hard to contain because they can end the world. The only reason why they want 682 dead is because his only goal is to kill humanity and obviously we can't have that.

Keter-class SCPs are anomalies that are exceedingly difficult to contain consistently or reliably, with containment procedures often being extensive and complex. The Foundation often can't contain these SCPs well due to not having a solid understanding of the anomaly, or lacking the technology to properly contain or counter it. A Keter SCP does not mean the SCP is dangerous, just that it is simply very difficult or costly to contain.
