GI is an absolute lock for Immortal, maybe too soon but there is no reason he shouldn't be in the same conversation as Slater, Cronk and Smith. How people aren't mentioning him is absolutely criminal. Some of the things he did, no one on this or any other planet could have done.
The word ‘unstoppable’ gets thrown around a lot these days. But GI was literally unstoppable. He was a prop forward with the speed of a winger. Best ever player in my eyes
Lockyer before they started to target him constantly making him tackle all game - was unlike anyone ever or since. As good as alfie was, lockyer was better. Alfie probably should get in first but if its between the two of them locky is a step up on alfie and that's really hard to type.
AS a Queenslander it has to be either Peter Stirling or Brett Kenny. All the rest mentioned need to do their time like the aforementioned. My first choice is Brett Kenny. Just ask Wally as to who was the best five-eight/centre of his time (leaving his admiration of Mark Ella aside). Vote Brett Kenny.
I'm surprised Fittler didn't get in before Andrew Johns. Some of you good fans know the process better but guys I think Clyde, Lazzo, Kenny, Freddy, and Lockie..any of these guys deserve a spot. Cam Smith, Slater will get in but later
Jack Gibson A few years after he took Parramatta to their 1st premierships, was asked who was the best player he had coached. His reply "STERLING". That's good enough for me. Vote Lockyer!!! No other players in the NRL has been nominated the greatest player in two positions ( Full back & Five eight). It's not only about your achievements and skills, but your character and Lockyer deserves it❤️💯
