I did have the same problem. What I did is factory reset my Sony KDL- 1-unplug power cord for one minute 2-plug-in tv and wait 40 seconds for the tv completely startup 3-On the remote control, press and hold the UP ARROW button. 5-While holding the UP ARROW button, press and hold the POWER button on your TV until Reset appears on the screen. Afterwards, the TV will turn off and then back on. Hope this works for you.

A technique that just worked for me was to unplug the Sony Bravia for 10 seconds and plug it back in. Apps displayed differently but youtube came right back on with all my favorites still recorded.

Then go to the internet browsers settings menu (looks like a little tool box up the top 4th from the left I think). Then go to Browser Settings, then choose Delete all Cookies, and choose yes. Then try TH-cam again. Let me know how it goes... It worked for me, but I might have been lucky Hopefully this will be quicker than a factory reset option

The youtube issue is not related to searching for the programs.. if searching for the programs didn't work then it is a tv cable operator issue probably.

Few months ago I had the same problem and a sony person helped one even if my tv was no longer under warranty and he made me do many many many steps with the remote. it was not as easy as the videos I am seeing. my problem is : I click on the youtube app and all I see is the logo. it does not load up.

Nope. Updated mine several times in the last two years, still locks up. Had to put a smart plug on it so it’s easy to unplug to reset. Sony can’t fix this app no matter how hard they try.
I did reset 1 week ago then youtube but again this problem is presented. I did not get download software there for this problem. Now I will try it again in this way.
The software update option in the help menu is just an added step to see if your tv is running the latest software version. Sometimes updating to the latest software version helps.You can directly go to factory settings and do the factory reset. Hopefully it will solve the youtube problem.

My model doesn’t have browser settings, has a bunch of other stuff... but nowhere that I can find delete all cookies...

I have done factory reset btwice but my TH-cam still doesn't work, when the open the it says " internet browser will close due to internal error..
Try uninstalling other apps as these tv models have very low memory and can't hold a lot of apps.

this fix probably doesn't work if ur logged into ur account on youtube app
you can also uninstall updates for youtube only and this will restore the factory app (only youtube app, not all the TV), that is how i fixed it

Hi, if your tv model supports TH-cam and Netflix it should have been pre installed.. otherwise you can search for the apps in the app library.
