At 4:10 "Marriage is not to make you happy, it is to make you Holy." This is the best thing that you could ever tell a single person because it is the absolute truth, yet, until now, I have never heard anybody say it. In addition, you are responsible for helping your spouse and children attain Holiness. Parents are the children's first teacher. All throughout your child's life (including adulthood), you will have to tell them the exact opposite of what their "friends", significant other, spouse, TV shows, Catholic school teacher, and possibly even clergy are telling them is morally acceptable. They will likely have difficulty accepting your words because they see and hear immorality continuously and from everybody but you. How many couples pray together? How many families pray together? How many include God in the decision regarding their calling in life? How many read the Holy Bible together? How many keep Holy Sunday? How many tell their children birth control and abortion is mortal sin? How many tell their children they are not to have sex until marriage? How many ask if their child is having or has had sex with their boy/girlfriend? These are things that Catholic parents are required to do because God has entrusted a soul to them. Imagine standing before God at the end of your life and He asks why you never told your children that birth control was immoral and because you did not, you allowed them to sin mortally and your just judgement is eternity in Hell beside your faithless children. The primary reason for marriage is to procreate, not for companionship. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth. God did not say "Go find your soul mate then live sinfully." 1 Corinthians chapter 7 speaks about the calling to virginity is higher than the married state. This seems odd because it is much easier to control one's actions than to control the actions of one's spouse and children. I have a friend whose wife had a brain injury that left her paralyzed on one side and with memory problems. They have been married for over 20 years and for the 18 years that his spouse has been sick, they have been celibate. He told me that when people say priests cannot live a celibate life, these people believe this because do not put their trust in God. Only with God's Grace it is possible to live a celibate life. Pray the Holy Rosary daily and have devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary - God's final two remedies given to us at Fatima Portugal in 1917 by our Blessed Mother.
Marriage to another human being can't make you fully happy. Only marriage to God through completely willing the Good is the only thing that leads to true happiness.

Glad I stumbled upon this video 11 years later. I am actively praying to God about my vocation(marriage or priesthood) and putting myself out there as much as possible along with putting my trust ultimately in Him as he can work miracles.

Actually... she was also born without sin - she would have had to be to bear Jesus! If you read Luke 1:26-38 - the angel says to Mary 'Hail, full of grace' - this meant that she was full of grace, without sin! If you're in sin, then you're definitely not FULL of grace. She was! :)

Many people are single simply because they prefer to remain single, which is fine. There is no "ache", it is simply a personal preference. And as for knowing Christ in full, the only genuine church of Christ is comprised of every human being who believes in, and abides by, Him, and no one needs to be Catholic, or affiliated with any other religion, for that matter, in order to know that, and in order to be a part of that.

Marry should not be worshiped she was just human. Jesus Christ and God the father is the only one that is divine. You do not have to pray to Mary, or any saint to get to Jesus. Viewing Marry as divine and worshiping her is idolatry. Even thinking that she is on the level of God and Christ is idolatry.
