Yo!!! Where you guys at (Said with my NJ Italian accent! LOL) Help a fella out with my question below (or above....wherever it is) LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😁😂😂😂😂
Not sure if I ever told you Jonathan, but you have the best last name EVER! Just visited my mom in NJ (I'm in Austin Tx) and got my sicilian pizza (which you can't find anywhere!)

Bro, sorry! We need to give you a direct line - especially if you’re a pisan. Life seems to be getting in the way of the channel 😂. We have never had that happen but try turning your idle faster if it’s stalling and see if that changes anything. The idle may be too low. You may not be revving it out enough. You could switch to an electric, they don’t stall 😂.

@@motorbros First, thanks! You guys are awesome! No need to apologize. I think I told you (Jonathan) I'm about your age so I get what you mean about "life" getting in the way. Sadly, as we age, we experience health issues, parents become ill and even pass on....not an easy time of life IMHO. Seems I'm going to a funeral nearly every 6 months!
Anyway, 100% ...last name is Morano...funny story, my wife and I went to Italy a few years ago and everyone told me that if I said my last name, I'd be treated like a king...I didn't get why....Turns out there's a famous Glass Company spelled MURANO (Like the Nissan) but pronounced the same as my name. Family is from Calabria (there's actually a town named Morano Italy!). Ok.....all that BSing to say...I got NO special treatment in Italy! hahahaha Although I heard Tony Soprano had a thing for Murano glass.
Regarding the bike, I feel kinda dumb but I think I was just running out of gas. Hasn't done it since but it still has just died as soon as I went to hit the gas. That ever happen to you in the beginning? I've checked the idle and listened to many others and it seems spot on. Jay Clark from Dirt Bike TV is the one who said I may be out of gas! hahahahaha. It has 2hrs on it and I have no clue how much the dealer had in it but I could still see a bit at the bottom with a flashlight. I filled it up with Shell premium and it hasn't SLOWLY died like that one time, but I did have the two times after Idling for a few minutes, it stalled immediately as I turned the throttle. Who knows....maybe I should just ride the thing huh? LOLOLOLLOLOL
Hope and pray all is well and the "life" issues are nothing serious!

BTW, still waiting for the video on how short dudes get on these tall bikes! LOL
I had to install a kickstand (the one by Fastway which looks really nice and has been a life saver and surely is conveneient to have in general). So, now I can just hop on, then put the kickstand up or I get on "cowboy style' with the left foot up on the peg, then hop on as I get the bike moving. I even put on the Guts, -20mm lower foam. I really don't want to lower the bike because to do it right, I have to send the forks out and have them lowered internally and I'm told that would be approx $500+. ZETA makes a spacer for the rear shock which is -30mm and that would be perfect as it's over an inch. (Slavens Racing has a good installation video on it and how it doesn't mess with the geometry like a lowering link).
Even though getting on and off isn't an issue, I'd like to feel more confident in the rocky, harder hare scramble stuff. Didn't you say Mike is like 5'4".....and he can throw his leg over? I'm 5'8" with a 28" inseam (been working on my flexibility though) and I'm not even close the throwing my leg over. I think I may have told you... the second day I had the bike, I got on it in the garage, started leaning and couldn't touch and so over and down I went, broke a lever!!! 2nd day and I already had a broken lever!
    Dissertation and rant over!

Brutus, we missed you man! You’re absolutely correct - we owe you a video showing Mike’s struggles. He definitely leverages his kickstand at times. The Guts seats is a great idea. You probably don’t need to go down the fork path - that seems excessive. Sorry to hear about the broke lever. Check out the Pro Taper levers that flip in all directions - Mike installed those due to tipping over at a standstill too 🤣. Short people don’t have it easy!

@@motorbros Hahaha...Hey Jonathan!!! So, I see Mike tips at standstill too huh! LMAO! I feel much better now as I'm in good company! 😁 Isn't there a song called "short people got no reason to live"? 🤣🤣🤣 To quote Rodney Dangerfield..."We get no respect"!
I put on a set of Tusk folding levers (cheap at $40 total) but I don't like how they feel (they are squared off, not rounded) therefor I just may have to look at higher end levers like Pro Taper, ARC, ASV etc. but now we're talking $80 + per lever!!! The upgrading just never ends, does it! I bought a brand new Harley Heritage Softail Classic in 2007 and I think I now have approximately $35K into it!!! (Bike was $17K new) And it was just fine when I bought it! LOLOLOL Oh, and I have all orange plastics and full decal set coming from DecalWorks....wanted that "factory" look so I had to ditch the white. More "upgrades"! I had to convince my wife that orange plastics makes the bike "better" and increases it's "value"!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Anyway, due to the trail riding, I put on the Cycra pro bend full wrap arounds (just gotta hit one good size branch with your knuckles to understand why they are needed in trails!). Now, regarding looks, I much prefer the stripped down look of an MX bike but those wraparounds are a necessity in the woods. (plus, they come off with two bolts). So, that's the long winded version of me saying that I solved the lever breaking issue....for now! I would like to see how those "shorty" ASV levers feel as most of us only use 1 or 2 fingers to pull in the levers.
Alway excited to see you all post a new video!!! Keep them coming! Be safe!
      Thesis/rant over!😁

Question.....when you did the oil change on the KTM 350, did you just use that one, 1 liter bottle? (meaning did you have to open another bottle and add a touch more oil?) Did that one bottle fill it up all the way? I believe I've read it needs like 1.1 (which would require opening another bottle). I have the same kit and getting ready to do my first oil change!
As always, thanks in advance for the insight and wisdom!

    • @motorbros
      @motorbros  ปีที่แล้ว

Brutus, sorry we missed this. Use one bottle keep a lookout on the sight glass to when the oil level gets to the middle of the ring. How is the bike running for you?

@@motorbros All good! I know you guys are busy buying new bikes and Raptors and sh*t! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I got the oil thing sorted. For some reason, my kit (The KTM kit with oil filter and washer) comes with a 1.2liter bottle so I used most of it. All the other bottles sold separately seem to be exactly 1 liter.,,,instead of 1.2liter. Oil seems the be just about at the top when at running temp.
Question....did your bike just arbitrarily stall a bunch (maybe 5 times total) when new? I only have 2.4hrs on the bike as I've only been able to ride in my yard so the bike has yet to be really broken in. When idling, it just stopped twice. Then yesterday, it was idling and I went to give it gas and it died immediately as soon as I touched the gas. Are these just the quirks of a new bike? Sadly I have yet to hit the track or trails but that's coming in a week! As always....THANKS!!!

Thanks I had a good ride and felt good..and one huge improvement on those bikes is seat concepts my wife got me for Christmas...the stock seats on those bikes are horrible
