  • In this project, I build a camera that can stream video over your home network, and can handle both day / night environments. I used both a standard camera module, and a NoIR module, then switch the video feed that is streamed at sunrise and sunset.
RTSP is the streaming protocol used, and the "switch at sunrise/sunset" is handled via a small node.js utility: github.com/Matchstic-Project/...

    Nice project and video!
Did you consider the option of using a light sensor module to trigger the switch from day to night mode? Then you could continue using the daylight camera up until the point that the image becomes too dark, and switch over to the NoIR at the most optimal time.
Loving how good that Prusa Mini is too. Did it take you many prints to dial it in before printing the finished case?

      Thanks!
I did consider a light sensor, though wanted to keep the hardware side of things as simple as possible really. Plus, it gave me an excuse to figure out how to handle light conditions with some safe assumptions in software… 😅
As for the printing, I had one failed print for the main case body, and then had to do 3 separate prints for the bracket holding the LED on the top - getting circular cutouts in just the right spot was a little tricky. Really do like working with the printer though!

Hi . it amazing job. can i get your help some issue? i want to bu day/night camera for object tracking computer vision algorithms camera on the plane uav
i want to ask you.Which of the day and night cameras would you recommend that I can work with the best computer vision algorithms
