  • Mousehole is a beautiful fishing harbour and seaside holiday village in Cornwall located near Penzance, Lands End and St Ives on the southwestern coast of England. It is known for its narrow, winding streets, it's beach, and its picturesque, thatched-roof cottages that line the harbour. The village has a rich history dating back to the 16th century, and it was once an important port for the export of tin, copper, and other minerals.
Mousehole is also renowned for its festivals and events, including the Christmas Mousehole harbour lights display, which attracts visitors from all over the country. The village is surrounded by stunning natural beauty, with cliffs, beaches, and coves in every direction, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. There are several trails for walking and hiking, as well as opportunities for water sports such as kayaking, surfing, and diving.
In addition to its natural beauty, Mousehole is home to several unique shops, galleries, and restaurants that specialise in local cuisine, arts, and crafts. The village also has a strong community spirit, with local residents actively involved in preserving its heritage and maintaining its traditional character.

I remember parking my car on that Quay side some 20 years ago! Was walking the South West Coastal Path. Did a good section and came back to a great ice cream. Got the photos to treasure!!

This brings back many memories. We used to go to Land's end and stay down the road in Porthcurno in a place called the Vineries. It had lovely bunch of chalets that we stayed in and made day trips to the surrounding areas including Mousehole. Do you know that Mousehole is pronounced " Mouzel" locally. One of the village's resident told us that on one of our visits. There was a great fresh seafood restaurant right on the harbor and the food was exquisite. I hope it is still there. I'm talking about 25 yrs ago. I was in my teens then. Lovely lovely part of the world.

Beautiful footage. Very nicely done. Makes Mousehole look the perfect place to live.
But as a resident I can tell you it is probably one of the most difficult places I have ever lived in. Unfortunately ruined.

Thank you another intoxicating video. We love Mousehole Also the walk from there to Penzance, the cliff allotments, the view of Penzance Harbour, the glorious outdoor pool that we’ve yet to swim in and of course The Turks Head. The mirror of that sky in the rock pool……..Thank you so much. I think it’s just a beautiful in Winter.

Hi, Neil. Really enjoying your videos, we love the fact that you don’t blather, just show us the sights with printed commentary. Wonderful for those of us who are a teeny bit hard of hearing. My husband laughs that he probably wouldn’t be able to understand you, but he should be used to the accent…I am originally from Sheffield too. We love the Cornwall ones, as we have two sons living in Falmouth, we visit from Canada as often as we can. Keep ‘em coming, Chuck!!

Only recently discovered your channel and I'm loving it - thank you. I've just subscribed and joined your Facebook group too. I've loved Cornwall since childhood as I used to go there every year with my family and you're bringing back so many wonderful memories. Just wondered if you would mind sharing the camera and microphone you are using as, being a bit of a photographer myself, I appreciate the superb quality of your videos.

For these I'm just using my phone with a MV88 microphone plugged in - and a lot (LOT!) of colour correction work after!

I went there 36 years ago. I never knew about the hidden rock pool. I would have loved to have Had a swim in it. You did not show the little museum hidden on the hill it tells the story of Mousehole maybe it has closed down.

    Watched and liked
Again 35 odd years since i was last there and barely nothing has changed apart from few rules prohibiting
Dogs seem to have alot of restrictions throughout Cornwall beaches
Your videos are calming and we do get to see alot
You say its the last in the series of Cornwall
Well done on filming so many
    Watched them all
    Thanks

Julie Eagles:Seems harsh that dogs are banned yet litter louts can roam with impunity & garbage can be pumped into the oceans.A friend of mine said they removed 17 bags of litter from our local beach last year. What the heck is WRONG with people?I am sure it didn't used to be like this.Where I am now could be a charming little Close, with gates each end.But the litter is heartbreaking. The jerks seem to think bushes are for dumping stuff & last yr,there were the remains of pumpkins all over the path & Garth.Litter bins r vandalised & the council don't seem to give a toss!Had I my way,the litter louts would have to eat it!
