She never lets up from the first chord, her fingers must be made of steel. Unbelievable. Composition, musician, musicians and maestro. Pure and utter delight.

I think it’s very unfair to refer to Marquez as a “Hispanic” composer given that his music is inspired specifically by the popular and tradicional music of his country. Don’t do that, don’t mix all the Hispanic world together as if it was all the same. It’s as if I was to refer to an American composer as “Anglo-Saxon” or something like that.

Fantástica interpretación del maestro Gustavo Dudamel a esta deliciosa obra de Márquez. Lo veo muy identificado con la obra de Márquez en general y lo que le he escuchado, como el Danzón No. 2, lo hace ser para mi el mejor intérprete de este compositor mexicano, para mi el mejor que tiene el país vivo actualmente.
