Carry at least 1 flint (the 5 wood is super easy to find) with you so you can set up a camp/respawn point any time you need to. Some areas I had to waste time looking for flint
As for houses, the problem is getting the town rep. Getting town level 30 for the big house will be unlikely to happen until you are practically level capped. Yes you can shoot for the town level 20 house, but at that point, you are hurting yourself in the long run as you are unlikely to sell it to buy up. The difference between the big houses and the small houses is the teleport time, and the number of storage chests you can have. All houses let you do trophies. If you grab three tiny houses early(15th, 35th, and 55th), you get more teleports per day in aggregate than you would have gotten with one large house, you get to stack trophies, and you get the house earlier. It is also a no-regret sale when you abandon it for a larger house. AND if you have enough money for a big house at 55th when you can buy that 3rd house -- go ahead. Trophies make a good bit of difference at 15th and a bigger difference at 35th when you can have two sets. People saving for the big house first won't have any houses at 35th.
It doesn't take long if you're spending a lot of time in the town you wish to the buy house in. Town boards provide great territory standing as well as portals, for example. Also you get a 50% discount for your first house so it may be better to save for the largest house first.
I really wish they would balance the random quests from the townboard, some are super easy and take less than 2 minutes but some can take several hours yet they usually offer the same rewards. There is no point in doing the hard quests, they just take up a quest slot.
I absolutely agree I feel like it really is better just to skip those quests and just grab a different town board of quests while you wait for the first one to reset. I am sure there are people though that would rather just do each quest and refuse to quit any quest that is too "hard" or take too long.
@@xDivineStrikex does the game have personal loot and permanent gathering nodes until you gather it? like when a couple of people are in the same area gathering, can you gather it without it disappearing for others? and when you're playing with others in a party, can you loot a corpse and they will also have loot from the same corpse?
@@Adamantian9 For gathering the nodes are going to be shared by everyone, so you will have to try to be faster than others to get them first. But for loot dropped by monsters that is personal loot that no one else can see so you don't have to rush to pick it up.
I always pick up all the cooking stuff i can find and check at the kitchen if i can make it or not - if i can make it good if not abandon works pretty well for me
I don't regret switching up the weapons because it was a beta, but in the game I'll probably only level up the two weapons I actually use to get more in total points for just those weapons instead of ones I'll never use again
I dont know where you spoke to regarding salmon but I caught around 5 in like 10 minutes. My biggest one was around 25 lbs ^_^ I dont recall the location unfortunately but it seems that catching chance depends on locations.
catching salmon is entirely luck! :). if you go to the fishing spot near windsworth its really good fishing also fishing spots have a star lvl 3 being max (so far). sometimes i can catch 3 tier III fish b2b and only catch basic fish for an hour straight haha i kinda like rng for that WELL ill cast once more vibe

I think it is a thing that started in the USA but you hear it a lot from Canadians as well, that they say things sarcastically for effect, particularly clichés, but it has now become so ingrained they don't even notice they are doing it or make it sound particularly sarcastic. I agree that for an advice video it is a little jarring.

I really like dex weapons like rapier/spear/bow/musket. Is it going to be a problem if my damage is only 1 type that is thrust/pierce damage? Only played for 2 days, so i dont know much.
I ran rapier/bow and tbh it doesn't really matter. Corruption is weak against thrust and they're kinda the main enemy (so far) so you have that advantage I guess. Overall though, I'd recommend leveling more than just two weapons
Bow/rapier is a good combo, one of the best combos rn actually in both pvp and pve. Both weapons do thrust damage and while thrust damage is weak against Angry Earth and The Lost monsters, you can socket a gem to counteract the weaknesses preferably a nature gem. Nature damage fixes your weakness to The Lost mobs and also has bonus damage against Corrupted mobs and thrust damage also has a bonus against corrupted, so against corrupted mobs, bow/rapier with nature gems is a strong pick.
Well gives you water which is used for potions and cow will give milk which can be very useful for creating cooking ingredients for more complex recipes.

the sheep and turkey share spawn, in other words, if you see a sheep, it could have spawned as a turkey and vice versa, so kill the sheep or turkey and wait for the respawn

I watched Kage848 a while ago, as he played the closed beta, and he was at the starter beach and he crafted the flint knife (because that's what he had to do for the quest), and even though he had the materials to craft other things...he just closed out of the crafting menu and continued on. I got SO FRUSTRATED with him at that point. The other tools where white in the menu, meaning he had the materials to craft them...but he didn't. And a little later he came across gatherable stuff...and he couldn't gather them because he didn't have the tools. At that point I stopped watching because it's SO FUCKING FRUSTRATING to watch a guy play when he plays so differently from yourself. I would've (and did, during the open beta) crafted ALL of the tools.
Yep, I have watched alot of people tell their viewers not to bother with it and just rush through the first part to get to town because those quest givers give you the tools but honestly those starting beach areas have so much great stuff and alot of people won't make all the tools so it's the perfect opportunity.

Everyone going to be past iron tools asap. Atleast on BETAS these has never really sold well. Steel how ever sold well once a work bench was upgraded in a town.
I think it is going to vary per sever per territory your trying to sell at. During this open beta I was selling iron tools for first 2 days at 300gold per.
Iron tools are better exp per mat than steel tools, so it is great to level that engineering up FAST. As for steel tools, you can do that right at the beginning by taking the treacherous roads into great cleave or eden's grove. You can't be certain steel tools will sell well when an actual town has a table. In open beta, the instant that table opened steel tools dropped to 100, and those were green ones. In closed beta it stuck at 300 for a good while, but there is no guarantee your server won't undercut to the vanishing point.
I wanted to play this game, but that was before I knew Lost Ark existed. Now that I know about LA I'll be skipping this game and will be waiting patiently for LA next year. Damn you Amazon, you really postponed LA out of fear....

You should mention that you don't need to have crafting stuff in your inventory as long as they are in the storage, you're good. Just a good tip

Just to confirm, you can always crit with fire staff or ice gauntlet if you hit them in the head, or is that only non-magical ranged weapons?
You can always crit with magical weapons too on the head.
