Hello sir, I own imax as well. I charge my Li-ion batteries in same manner. The only difference is that I charge 8 batteries each of which is 2500mAh (in parallel) at 2 amps so each cell is charged at 250mA (at 10% of current capacity). This is how one must charge. In your case you're charging at 500mA which means each of 8 cells is getting charged at 62.5mA which is VERY VERY slow charging. If your cells are 620mA battery each (which doesn't seem to be the case) then this setup is correct.
I own a B6 balance charger and understand the parameters of charging. I have 4 NiMh batteries each of 2800 mAh. I have set up charge current as 0.5 Amp for slow and safe charge. I want to know in charge mode of NiMh battery, how should batteries be charged in series or parallel? And is there any way to balance charge each cell like in LiPo batteries?
Hello Yash, first of all we need to see that your charger can output high current or only capable of low current. In case of high current, it's better to charge in parallel however, some chargers which are capable of outputting low current max up to say 1 amp and you want to charge say 8 cells then it's better to go with series setup so that all the cells get 1 amp. Had you been charging 8 cells with 1amp in parallel, each would have been getting charged with 125mAh only that's too slow charging. Now talking about balanced charge, the only benefit with parallel charge is that the cells get balanced charged automatically as current gets equally divided in parallel setup but not in series set-up. That's why you will need a good balance charger if you intend to charge in series.
@@rahulpathania78 Thank you for response sir. I have HTRC B6 V2 it can go upto 6 Amp I have 4 Duracell 2500 mAh NiMH batteries whats best charging setup
how to charge model Id 659 battery which is 7.2 v 4200mAh with jst xh 7 pin connector which has 3 black wires 3 red wires and 1 yellow wire in the middle using Imax b6ac charger ? please explain
Sirji when we use Imax b6 as balance charger . The way up r charging is not proper try balance leads from that charger this is B6 so 6 max in series 8 cells defeats purpose of this charger .. try that
Don't use litokala for this .. I tried that go for opus bc3100 best till date I test capacity with that ..that's good I had completed one battery pack as trial with bms and all I had few shortages in supply .. I respect u for giving away knowledge I don't do videos if I need any thing would love to support you
I greatly appreciate your sharing your experience. Thanks for the advices. Seriously appreciated. I am sure your comments will be a guide for other viewers as well. May I use your feed back and experiences in my yet to come related videos. I will surely acknowledge your contribution.
The one selling in India is not precise Imax charger they r clone Look for skyrc Imax b6 skyrc is the company who started with quality chargers in cheap rate over the globe u can find one on AliExpress but insist on skyrc they r costly
As ur sleevs are broken this are probably risky things to do .get them sleeved up and then perform this tests .. u see Partha video of making 13s battery pack most dangerous way to build one never try and please sleeve them up don't even recommended performing any thing without sleevs. Lastly video I had seen u sleeving with black heatsink sleevs don't use them they are low temp one as for that actual sleeves u get it for cheap on AliExpress

Bhai isme kitne voltage or kitne ampiar tak power diya ja sakta hai
You haven’t connected the balancing wires!
Zabardassst Bhai 👍👍
why are you charging li-ion batteries on the Li-Po mode when if you go to user program you can change the mode to li-ion

Hi can i charge 9 cells in parallel?

Yes. My next video does show this. But I tried 1s and charging was good but capacity test was inaccurate. As such I have now ordered LiitoKala 500.

Yes sure. 18560 shrink Sleeves are on the way.
This is the very reason I am not assembling my battery pack. I am waiting for my shrink Sleeves.
