  • In this episode of Closer Look into Imperial Assault campaign, I'm going to be looking at cards from the campaign that have been powerful enough to get people complaining about them online about how broken they are.

I am so glad someone still actively creates Imperial Assault content. Thank you so much!

I believe with Fenn and CT you can definitely play around it, pick the nemesis deck and focus on big villains and they both become a lot weaker in campaign.
Gideon's masterstroke is something else though, I believe the 2 main issues here are the wording of it being 2 command's and it applying to the same target.
If you nerf it to it counting as 1 command and apply it to 2 different targets and I think it's still great but not as overbearing.
Hired guns + Imperial industry does seem quite broken.

I am currently playing a campaign against my dad where I am playing Fenn and CT-1701 with the broken cards you mentioned, but he is playing Subversive Tactics and just got Imperial Industry, so It actually has balanced out to a fairly balanced game so far.
Also, my last campaign, I ran the Nemeses deck and rancor-rolled my players each mission with Vader each mission after Story Mission 1, so we banned that deck completely as well.

Good Tactic against Fenn’s Blast is the Hoth-Classcard: Shields up. Worked incredibly well against him last time i played…

"Power to Shields" 4xp card. Yeah seems like a decent counter, though 4xp plus 1 threat if you want to be fully protected is a pretty costly counter.

@@iacommand9185 well I know, that you dont Like Class-Cards with Threat-costs, but this one is an easy calculation. Pay 1 threat to protect one or more figures that cost more than one threat to redeploy. And there is a psychologigal advantage… in my last Game fenn stopped camping at the deploymemt-point. And i think 4exp is as much as fenn‘s Elite warrior card costs. But that is of course only my oppinion. I would be happy, if you could make a video with counter-options for the bannworthy-things… if there is enough stuff, greetings

After 3 Campaigns of using it, my wife and i have banned the combo of mechanical master and slicers tool on Jarrod. Any objective based mission becomes a cakewalk. It is not even so specialized that he is bad on other mission because he still dos decent damage with jax support and is the tankiest hero by far

For imperial industry, we removed the surge for stun, but made the surge for +1 damage also weaken.
For CT we did a little shuffle of XP abilities: Pin Them Down became a 4xp and weakness identified/wildfire both moved down 1 xp

I had a friend who was turned off to Imperial Assault because another friend of mine, as the Imperial, chose Subversive Tactics as his class deck. I agree 100% that I'd never use it with new players.
Interestingly, I'd argue that the perfect counter to Subversive Tactics is a group combo that includes Gideon Argus and Fenn Signis, for the reasons mentioned in this video. 😂

Oh and no Imperial guards? I hate them so muvh when I play as rebels.
    Freaking stunners and assistants.

Not since they got nerfed by FFG in 2016.

      @@iacommand9185how did they get nerfed?

    • @exeonx6561
      @exeonx6561 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@fan-i-am They received 2 big nerfs imo, first one is global, their protector passive defense bonus applied to each other, so basically royal guards would increase each others defense while near each other, making them much harder to kill, this now only affects non guardian units.
The second nerf, which is the biggest is the non-elite version used to have surge +2 damage, which is now surge +1 pierce.
They still have their stun capability which is nothing to scoff at, but for 1 additional threat you get a group of elite stormtroopers, which generally speaking are a better option, especially with the trooper deck.
