I just installed a Floyd Rose Original on my Schecter Sun Valley, and wanted to try something new for the "comfortably numb" solo with it. Warning, extreme overindulgence, and Sustainiac abuse.
im a shredder (malmsteen, Gilbert, Cooley stuff) and I listen to you every morning play this solo as good or even better than the orig record… I started here bc my white super shredder with sustaniac and black pick guard is on back order… now I come back for the flawless timing and improvised fills … u nailed the solo, the spirit and u made it your own without ruining the vibe 🎉❤🔥🔥🔥👍🤘

I have many hi end guitars but keep coming to that one because of the sustainiac and playability. But; I upgraded the vibrato to a Floyd Rose original, and put a EMG 81 in bridge in place of the EMG Hot 70. I prefer passive pickups though
I love it ! It's my favorite "budget" guitar. But not so "budget" now with the tremolo upgrade, and the EMG 81 in bridge position, instead of EMG Hot 70
Did you shim the Floyd rose and get matching radius nut for 15” fretboard? I didn’t think Floyd rose had 15” radius nuts. I just got one of these guitars used and the nuts pinging like crazy and the trem doesn’t feel great. Figured I’d upgrade but want the Floyd and nut to match the radius of the fretboard.
I replaced the Floyd Rose 1000 by a Floyd Rose Original. My guess is that they are for the same radius, as I didn't notice nothing abnormal. In fact, I didn't think about the radius before you mentioned it. Zero issue here.

When you swapped the pickups, does the stock have the standard EMG quick connector? Or is is soldered in? Thanks. Killer solo by the way. 👍🤘

I’ve never had a Floyd Rose. Was looking at these. Should I fear the Floyd ?
No, they are cool. You'll like it. Changing strings is a little harder but worth it.
