Wren's room is the room I dreamed of having as a teenager. So beautiful and elegant, everything about it is just perfect!
To a lot of people the girls' rooms may not look like children's rooms but not all children like bright, loud colors.
❤️
The before and after of Ivy’s room is incredible. The wallpaper really brings the room to life.
Thank you 🥰 We think so too!
Finally! Someone who did a child’s room right! Let it grow with the child. No loud colors or characters. Simple and sweet. Nicely done! A+
The artwork looks like something an adult would have, not a child or teen. I understand not going trendy, and having the room grow with them, but pictures are an easy switch as they grow.
I think the artwork is girly and lovely in that room.
You are oh so right about the artwork.
My daughters are begging for those rooms, INCLUDING the art! I totally disagree with you, these rooms are perfect for her young girls. They are beautiful and her daughters are very lucky 💕
In my opinion, you can surround your children with beautiful, vintage art, just as you would expose them to classical music. ❤
THINK DIFFERENTLY FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE!!!
I was that girl who moved my bedroom furniture all over my room every 6 months, hung my own paintings on the wall (not straight), and sewed buttons all over my curtains for some reason and hand stenciled one wall poorly.... nothing matched and I loved it because I did it. My parents thought it was fabulous.
My Mom always involved us in our bedroom decor when we were little . Still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling many years later . Shea you are so right involving your daughter in the process !
Thanks for sharing!!
The kids rooms look like spaces that will transition with them as they grow. As a blogger myself, I understand the need to refresh spaces more often than other people, using our home as my laboratory. Beautiful job on the updates throughout the house. Very thoughtfully done!
I love the girls rooms. I was never a fan of themes for a kid's room. I like the fact that a child can mature into a bedroom. Yes there will be stuff around and like you said it's a photo shoot. Love all the little changes. Beautiful!
Thanks so much!❤️
Love the evolution of the rooms, especially for the daughters. I used all antique furniture and Laura Ashley for my daughter and so added and pulled patterns all through her childhood. The child had shelves around a plate-rail for her special Knick-knacks and photos. And in her closet and on her desk were boxes and baskets of daily use items. Her playroom had shelves and heaps of toys. She always felt special in her well-designed room with rugs and wallpapers and her color and fabric choices. She also learned that there is room for her stuff, but because her home is to be respected, it is not a toybox full of plastic or trendy sparkles throughout. She was a happy child focused on her sports, work-bench and outdoor interests, not the next packages coming through the door to litter her lovely room in our home. Childhood and parenthood is about growing a confident, respectful and creative citizen; she is a family physician today. She missed out on nothing of any importance.
I’m definitely a huge fan of the wallpaper and the fact that the girls are getting older and the rooms will take them easily into preteen years ❤❤❤
❤️
I love Wrens room! I adore the scalloped mirror in Ivy's. You do a lovely job, creating Shea ... down to every little detail! 💞🥰 Enjoy your day!
Thank you so much!
It’s giving Mother In Law suites, but very beautiful
I love both rooms! I have never been a fan of kid themed rooms because their styles and likes evolve so quickly. I think it is smart how you are doing it because they can grow with the rooms. Kids will always have toys and stuffed animals lying around and it will definitely, undeniably, look like a kid’s room. These are beautiful! ❤ As always, well done!
Thanks so much 🫶
Wren’s room is beautiful also. I love she got to help style it.
Thank you so much 😘
I love you, sissy! I love that you thought ahead and designed the girls room to grow with them instead of having to over invest in designing their rooms later down the road. I am the same way. That was a smart decision!🥰🌟🤗☀️
💕
@@StudioMcGee 🥰!
I would love to see Margo's Bedroom in this series.
I love the girls rooms, they are adorable and will grow with them as they get older!!!
I actually like that its a sophisticated approach to a childrens room instead of it being a very eclectic childish wants of bright colors and overwhelming furniture peices thats all about making kids "happy" . At the end of the day they change their favorite color 10 times and dont have the funds to repurchase things just becouse they dont like it anymore.
I think our society really doesnt cherish the value of dressing kids in actual clothing and letting kids have nice things but in small quantities and having them geow up in spaces that dont always accomodate their every wants. Thie space she created for her kids is bueatiful even if its not my style i think her kids can choose how they want their future homes to be and they are blessed to have these spaces designed with their moms love for them in mind.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING SHEA! The girl's room are so welcoming and artfully curated. Decor bliss❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
I would have LOVED a room like this growing up. So much thought and care put into every detail and it shows. So whimsical and dreamy! 💕
I don't like wallpaper much but I know Shea does. Wall paper in a bathroom is fine though. I really prefer Ivy's room in the before look. I feel like the two wallpapers that are in her room now are too busy and clash. Not that my opinion is needed. lol It's not my home so I have no say. The rest of the house I love. I am so happy about how great Shea is doing with her business. I started following her years ago.
Absolutely beautiful rooms for girls. We may not all have the budget for these types of rooms but I love that they are classy, soft and feminine, and beautifully inspiring! Not all families or children want the go to “kids rooms” of today. I have homeschooled for 20 years and these rooms reflect the art, poetry, nature and beauty styles I regularly share with my children in the hopes that they will be able to recognize and choose true beauty over the “loud” and distasteful art and music of the current day. Stunning and so calming as well.
Love that! Thank you 🤍
Love following your journey and emulating your style on my thrift store budget. The William Morris wallpaper made me swoon. Both rooms are beautifully designed down to the last detail. As a teen, I would've loved the window reading nook.
Well, I think is absolutely fantabulous, I love the whole home remodel. Things change all the time. Plus is fun decorating
The second room-side table swap was perfect. Keep the videos coming, would love to see more outdoor space videos come spring.
Your taste is IMPECCABLE 🤩
Omg I love these rooms. I tried doing something similar for my ten year olds room and she wanted a “preppy room” which is nothing what I thought. All bright colors and neon lights etc 😂🫠
A beautiful overhaul altogether. Each room and the exterior went to the next level!
Thank you I’m certainly incorporating some of the colour schemes and design styles in my own bedroom!🥰🇨🇦
The wallpaper in Ivey's room is lovely, I been looking for a paper and checked out william morris but must have missed that one, I will look again
This was the video I was waiting for!!! I love the updates, and I can't wait until you update Margots from a nursery into a little girls room.
Thanks so much! Us too!🥰
Oh I so love the girls rooms! Absolutely lovely!
Love the girl's rooms SO MUCH. Would love to see you style a boys room from a client's home!
Beautiful! Would love to see the backyard now that the landscaping has matured some.

I absolutely ivys room!! Literally what I’ve been dreaming of for my daughter’s room. So I’ll be borrowing some inspo, Shea!
Happy to provide some inspo!🥰

👏👏👏👏👏
Very cute rooms! I love it 🥰 This is totally childlike to me! ☺️
Thanks so much!❤️
Everything is perfect🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
All so beautiful! Sigh
So beautiful!!
Thank you!💓
Beautiful girls bedrooms! I'd like to ask advice on when layering a rug over carpet, how do you stop the puckering of the rug when you place furniture (legs) on the top? please :-)
Just gorgeous! Can you tell me where you ordered the ruffled linen chair cushion from? Thanks
The rooms were beautiful before, but the changes were a great improvement.
Your approach to designing more mature rooms is great. Spending time and money on cheap “kid” rooms is unnecessary and sometimes wasteful. Kids will make anything their own and have fun regardless. ❤
❤️
Love all of the new touches! Ivy’s room looks like a perfect little jewel box. I was wondering how the wallpapers would coordinate together and they flow seamlessly. You’ve done it again and I’m in awe! Is Linen the color of the William Morris Willow Boughs wallpaper?
Yes that is the color!❤️
Where are your shades and drapes from?
It's all so beautiful! Could you tell me where you got the quilt in Ivy's room?
Could you give me information on Ivy's wallpaper in bathroom. The bedroom is beautiful.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Where can you find the scallop duvet? This is absolutely beautiful 🙌🏻 I love it all
Is perfect
Bathrooms❤
Clicked like before watching
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Love the doorknobs! Where did you get them from?
It's beautiful... for an 80 yr old lady.
Beautiful rooms, Shea! I love your design style and how you involve your daughters in the process. I'm all about rooms that are put together in a way that grows with the kids. The calming colors and simplistic yet impactful choices are perfect. I've enjoyed watching all remodel tours throughout your home. Thanks for sharing and giving me inspiration!
Thank you so much!
Is that gauze quilt still available?
😳 Soo Tasteful 👌🏻
Love the before
love it...!!!
Thank you!!
Amazing!!!!!!!!
Thank you! ❤️
It’s lovely but it doesn’t seem like a child would pick this as their room. It would be nice to see what a child like room would look like. Very playful and with lots of movement.
Would love to see that from Shae.
Love❤
Hi! How many sq meters are the girls rooms, please?
I love their rooms! @studiomcgee Will you please remind us what carpet you selected for their rooms?
Stanton Carpets!
The colors are muted/not bright in the Studio McGee videos. Are these videos recorded in ‘washed out’ color settings on purpose? Is it due to the adjustment on the camera or is it done in editing?
Other before-and-after makeover shows on youtube are colorful and bright. ~ Is it Studio McGee’s Trend or Style to have less vibrant (dull color) videos?
❤❤❤
❤
♡
By the time they are teenagers, those rooms are gonna be changed so many times
I love love love both rooms and they do look all grown up-ish but they are tweens so... haters gonna hate! lol
I dont know why but the bathroom looks like a grandma's powder room very adult like
I think the style is nice for an elderly person, but for me it would be too old fashioned...
I like a cleaner look.
🥰
How old are Wren and Ivy?
Fucking love her William morris collab timeless
I love Ivy’s room 😍
I love it! But please, please, please tell us your secret: where are the girl's toys? Do you have a separate play area for all the Barbies, Lego etc.? We need your secret!
