      You are sulking a bit bro. This is a country of more than 1.42 billion ppl. You can't have great service all the time. Think about that someone might have a bad time in life. Learn to forgive and forget and move on. Anyways good work with your videos and enjoy your time in india/bharat/hindustan.

    Namaste" and "Namaskar" lies in the formality and respect they convey. "Namaste" is a more casual and simple greeting, usually used among friends and family, while "Namaskar" is a more formal and respectful greeting, typically used in formal settings or when addressing elders.

      It's the other way around. There's no such thing as "namaskaar". Only "namaste" is the way to greet others.

      Namaste is the general way of greeting, while specific variations like Namaskar and Nomoskar are used based on the region or state in India. For example, Bengalis use Nomoshkar, and Assamese use Nomoskar.

    Thank you for sharing such a nice experience in ITC royal bengal Hotel in Kolkata. It's a quite Huge Hotel and seems to be More luxurious. Sometimes seems to be some staff members quite shy or uncomfortable to face your camera Eye except Nice.Your Kolkata video series is Awesome. see you soon in your next Nice video. Lots of love as always from Sri lanka. ❤️🥰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰

    Very good review and interesting video. Some people shy away from the camera due to privacy concerns, so that might be the reason the front desk staff was not so welcoming. If you had a prior filming permission, probably they would have be been well prepared and exceeded the expectations :)

    Look, the first experience can be a lasting experience, so I'm sure the hotel realised that the reception service was not up to the mark and they are trying to make up for it. We are all human and we have our off days, but luxury hotel personnel should be well trained, and Indian luxury hotel service is far better than European luxury hotel service.. It may have been an off day of the reception person, or the filming must have been an issue in the behaviour change. All is well when it ends well.

    • @Dominic2468
      @Dominic2468 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Yes you are right . I can also imagine him having a big beard and looking like a Muslim , that the reception woman didnt interact to much out of respect. Whatever the reason is , it didnt feel like the lady was doing it on purpose.

    In most of India, Namashkar is more formal way of introducing yourself - so at a very traditional event, or for business meeting etc. Namaste is more personal, casual. Actually, you can say "Namaste Ji" from now on and you will blend in better.

    Here's an explanation for the Namaste vs Namaksar -
    You are in kolkata. If you are speaking in Bengali, you can say "Nomoshkaar" which is the bengali pronunciation and equivalent of Namaskar in Hindi. As others have pointed out Namaskar, Namaskaram and Namaste are similar.
    But native Hindi speakers are more likely to say Namaste and Native Bengalis are more likely to say "Nomoshkar" or namaskar.
    The person who just greeted you most likely speaks Hindi inside the hotel or speaks hindi as mother tongue.
    Side note - in the southern states of India, you are more likely to hear Namaskaram.
