I must thank Julian for his help and wise words , which I've followed and my tinnitus has really come down to a level that I never thought it would , a wonderful man thanks again.
Dear sir julian.. You are Saint of this time... The way you express and deliver knowledge and experience is priceless only ALLAH can reward you and may you be rewarded well in this world and other world
This is really reassuring to me. I have OCD and I on and off suffer from Tinnitus in my left ear. It's normally pretty quiet. But I've had a few OCD/depression episodes and immediately my focus goes to my hearing, while I've had no hearing loss according to tests I did years ago. When I feel good about myself and less stressed I barely hear my Tinnitus and sometimes wonder if it's just the normal 'head sounds' everybody hears. Because I don't believe full silence exists.
A very good, clear and educating video, thank you. I've been in all three states and suppose most people have but spent years in the last two mentioned. It becomes the normal state of things because it doesn't end. working back toward the first state becomes an impossible task, it seems. Yet, I'm making a bit of headway, finally, I think, like feeling the touch of the brass ring just about in reach. Again, thanks so much for every video about tinnitus ...
So well explained I need to do more work my hearing is sensitive too I’m having 2 Cranio phcyco theraphy in Australia before my app with you in London .. I actually am happy to meet you as well as you give me so much believe amd love what you do ❣️ Thank you Julian 🙏
That explains why when I'm outside I hear everything but I can not cope with all of the noises and can not cope with speaking to someone one on one because of all of the sounds around me
My tinnitus came on after 8 or more weeks of severe health anxiety. As a result my ears began to feel plugged up and my hearing became extremely sensitive. I recall sitting in a cafe and finding the noise overwhelming. Then a week or so later, on the day I got good news about my health, my tinnitus started. Im now currently in much more relaxed state and seeking help from my anxiety. By doing so, I’m hoping Ican get out of this. My hearing sensitivity has improved greatly, but the tinnitus remains
You can hear all the preaching you like on my app which explains how tinnitus works, what helps it get better and teaches you coping strategies: www.quietenapp.com/ If you need personal support to get you on the road to recovery please contact me here: info@juliancowanhill.co.uk Wishing you well, Julian
I honestly believe this man is an "angel" so to speak, to anyone who is suffering: listen to this man and be calm. He will cure you or help you guide you towards curing yourself
I also am wondering this. it seems my stress seems to have made my eardrums bulged out and now I'm super sensitive to sounds. tinnitus, the forums, and sensitive hearing made this so bad. thank God for this man. his voice calms me and gives me information. I wish he was my mentor. I wouldn't be surprised if my ears are hyper sensitive from all the stress. and now the eardrums and tubes are dysfunctional. I need to stop stressing and settle. I need to feel safe. these videos are helping.
The first month sucked so badly, I did all the wrong things by looking/reading the horror stories, couldn't eat, got ear and neck pain, vertigo. But now 4 months in I'm no longer in the panic stage, I still get depressed when I notice the tinnitus as it's irritating. Read the posts from AntonR on Tinnitustalk.com. It helps.
Whenever I am stressed or have anxiety recently I have noticed that my left ear feels blocked.. a very strange sensation, it sounds like my left ear is underwater and my right ear is fine. This comes and goes and never lasts very long. The hardest thing to figure out if it is in fact the stress and anxiety or if its the muscle tension from the stress and anxiety or something else. Its rather distressing and causes further anxiety trying to figure out or resolve the issue.
Ace Ash, it's probably both. I have had that too, and it seems to be very common among people with tinnitus and other hearing issues. I think poor posture, neck vertabrae misalignment, poor sleep, chronic stress and over-thinking/over-worrying all contribute to these kinds of issues. I have been dealing with this for nearly two years, but I am very acclimated to it, and not "freaked out" about it. I'd still like to restore full health though, and not have it still be an issue for me, so I keep working at it to change it. Watch all of Julian's videos, they are EXCELLENT for explaining how to get better.
Dear sir... I had read on net that aderline can be blocked with the medicine called beta blocker... This medicine is used by heart patients.. Is it possible that we tinnitus sufferers can use that to block aderline rush?
Dear julian, I honestly do believe my tinnitus will completely go away. I will work on my stress!! But I do have a question. I also have a clicking sensation whenever I swallow etc. It feels like I also have air pressure problems. Can this also be cured? Thank you in advance
When we are tense and stressed the structures around the eustachian tube tighten. So it's really important to do the evening face massage (see level one techniques on my app www.quietenapp.com )and to relax your face, jaw and your neck area as much as possible. You can hear it more at the moment because your internal volume has gone up. Normally it is quiet and your brain ignores it.
I can really relate to this, I have been really depressed and stressed out for a whole year. And my hearing has become extremely sensitive and I even experience pain from sound? Is this also a stress response like tinnitus? And it’s the first time I have heard someone describe the feeling of hearing your own thoughts as voices due to stress but it has happened to me a couple of times.
Yes. Stress, fear and anxiety ramp up the sensitivity so much that input can cause pain. This is called hyperacusis. Our auditory cortex, where all our interpretation of sound is managed, and our thought processes can be turned up to high volume too. So we end up hearing this, when normally these sounds are filtered out.
Yes. Coming out of fight or flight, calming stress and anxiety helps, as does learning to shift your focus and distracting your attention away from your hearing. The techniques on the matrix in my app help you do this: www.quietenapp.com
I have developed an app called QUIETEN which is all about how to manage tinnitus, learn practices to help shift the focus away from the ringing and settle the nervous system down and learn more about how it works. You can find the app here: www.quietenapp.com There are question and answer sessions most Fridays. If you want personal support then please get in touch here: info@juliancowanhill.co.uk
