    Albert, I made your Spanish Lentil Stew and I also made your vegetable broth! The broth is really good and the stew was absolutely amazing! I make the recipes you show me all the time! In fact I don't watch anyone else these days! I also agree that using fresh grated large vine tomatoes is better than tinned tomatoes and passata and are roughly about the same price these days! Thank you very much, I really appreciate all your help! Love Avril Easton X ❤👍

    This looks lush i make Shakshuka for sunday brunch all the time more spicy than this but very similar. Why do so many cooks use such small amounts of onions i would put at least 2 full ones in this so tasty but doesn't overwhelm the other ingredients, still each to his own.

    K, so I've teased you about using ingredients like saffron in the past, but here again is a dish that sounds amazing yet composed of the very humblest ingredients.
    My wife is a vegan. I can translate this dish. Gonna knock her out, with this one!
    You know what I love about your channel? I've not been lucky enough to travel much. I've never been to Spain. I've never even been to a real Spanish restaurant. I didn't think I knew anything about Spanish cuisine. But watching your videos, i see all these familiar flavors, just combined *slightly* differently than any way I've had them before. Makes Spain feel very ... accessible. That's awesome.

    I am a Korean who cooks Spanish food in Korea. I have a question. What is the difference between Shakshka in other countries and Shakshka in Basque, Spain?

    • @CricketsBay
      @CricketsBay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shakshuka made in the Basque region is not spicy. Mememen, aka shakshuka made in Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco, etc. has hot peppers. If it has paprika when it's made in other countries, it's probably not smoked Spanish paprika. It's very spicy. Refika's Kitchen on TH-cam has a video where they make Turkish menemen, which is just shakshuka by another name. Turkish hot peppers are not like chilis from Mexico, they are milder.
