Finally I have this model in my hands! And I'd like to say this great metallic-purple/violet/blue color is perfectly complemented by metallic-green of the R34 CRS by MotorHelix.
As a composite-line hater, I must say I do love this exact composite model because it feels solid enough and is as detailed as the old AutoArt's Millenium line. This level of details had made me very optimistic about the future of the composite line... but AutoArt has ruined all my hopes with its recent Corvette C8 Stingray Z51 where the engine details are just laughable.
Anyway, the R34 by AutoArt is amazing, and I do love the both models by AutoArt and Motorhelix. Where one model lacks some tiny details, the other model does have them, so these models really complement each other.
So I don't have a favourite one. However, if the MotorHelix produced the R34 in its canonical Midnight Purple color (the metallic-purple/violet/blue), I'd be happy with a single model by MotorHelix because of its die-cast body.

This AutoArt piece is amazing I recently purchased one and btw, the only real advantage I notice the Motorhelix version has over this one is that their version comes with an RB26 engine replica

Man that is a awesome model. Very nice video as always.
wow Midnight Purple is almost 100 euro more expensive than black / blue / silver.
370-380 euro vs 270-280 euro ... not a model for me, i am good with my 40 euro Solido "almost midnight purple" R34 )))

I don't know if Autoart's paint differs, but AFAIK, color-shift paints require a black base coat of paint before applying the actual color coat. I'd expect the paint to be slightly more expensive as well. The regular Midnight Purple R34 was also more expensive than the other colors.

Very nice car and video. I own one but it's not AutoArt. I'll be making a review soon. It'll be good to compare to yours. Can I mention your video in my video for comparison of both models?

Now there are just the Bayside Blue by AutoArt and the Green Metallic by MotorHelix left to have an outstanding collection of R34s :)
Jokes aside, as a composite line hater, I have to say this particular AutoArt's model overall creates even better impression than the MotorHelix'es diecast one. I especially like AutoArt's semi-transparent white containers near the motor.
As for the price, I was able to get the Green Metallic one by MotorHelix for around 350$ after taxes ordered from aliexpress. So the extra price you mentioned is the direct fault of distributors/resellers.
