Interesting I’m doing a 911 sc at the moment, but I previously had all the issues you have with a w107 300 sl, the cold start injector is related to the over voltage relay that sits above the fuse box and has a fuse on top of it, I also had issues with it running very weak where an mot station had leaned it off when the real problem was the thermostat stuck open, hence in cold start it was too weak even with the extra fuel, misfires are usually dizzy cap or leads, warren
They are a nice cruiser,solid and yours being a black one has saved the body from major rust,and your onto where the problems lie I had a customer who had a Thistle Green car,which was immaculate,but it turned out it was the worst car he had ever owned So many electrical problems,no one could get it to run reliable,and he sold it Trying to fix it will drive you insane😩 Cheers Frank
If I remember correctly, there should be a relay in the drivers side kick panel that powers idle control valve (module) amongst other things. It had an aluminium case I think. Also in the same area is the fuse box (immediately below the relay), your problem may be corrosion of the relay and/or connection and possibly corroded fuse ends which are not obvious when looking direct. Sometimes twisting the fuse and re-establishing a connection can fix the fault. Ingress of water and then condensation and corrosion of terminals/ connections on parked up vehicles can be a problem. Having enjoyed the porsche content I was looking forward to this one, we've had a 107 SL since 2006 and they are very satisfying to own. I'd really like a video on the background to the channel explaining why you set it up, give a garage tour, fleet update etc. It great to hear you explain the choices you make when getting parts, balancing pragmatism with the desire to really do things properly and use OEM parts when possible. Best of luck with the channel anyway - great content!
I don't think the door windows drop on the r107 SLs. You can adjust the window height with the door card off. Before you do that check with the soft top up.
