Hoshizaki ice machine troubleshooting - 7 beep alarm

- In this video I diagnose two different hoshizaki ice machines that were not making ice. One machine was off on a two beep alarm and the other was off on a seven beep alarm.
The Hoshizaki ice machine that was beeping seven times was receiving high voltage. I plugged the power cord into a different outlet and then found a bad water pump.
The hoshizaki ice machine that was beeping two times worked after resetting the control board. I changed the water filter but this didn’t seem to fix the slow water fill. The customer will need to change the way water is being fed to the machine.
👍💪❄️🇺🇸 great troubleshooting. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. I started a new job n we do a lot of ice machine work. U r so helpful cause I’m still learning ice machines. Thanks 411 👍💪
You’re welcome. Glad it helps.
Great Video. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend
You’re welcome. I tried to have a nice one. Now it’s Monday.
Great fix and catch
👍
Nice work 👍👍👍
Thanks. 🛠️💪🛠️
maybe checking the pump capacitor, just to make sure, thanks for sharing.
This is true! Definitely going to do that.
There is no capacitor for pump motor it is only on the compressor😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@dmiestercommkitchentech3043 It is in the J box,5.5 uf and it uses it to reverse the pump and dump the minerals.
I am so sorry I forgot about that little black plastic box that they call a capacitor until you reminded me I just went thru Hoshizaki factory training and I don't recall them mentioning the capacitor for the pump motor that they use to reverse the pump by changing the phase wave of the motor again I sorry.
This is one of those AH HA moments. Thank you
So i have a cuber that is doing 7 beeps and it appears the outlet has the same issue yours did where its suddenly pushing 220.. however when i plug the machine into a different outlet with verified 110, Istill get the beeping.. will not reset unless i turn the switch off, hold the reset and toggle to ice. It will start the cycle then but only for a few seconds then goes back to 7 beeps. Not sure what senses voltage but im guessing its in the board? Thoughts?
I’d call Hoshizaki tech support. Www.hoshizakiamerica.com. Sounds like a possible control board issue but I can’t diagnose it with out being in front of the machine. Best of luck and let us all know what you find.
What type of business is this ? Weird setup for so many machines on dispensers next to each other
Package delivery. Lots of trucks. Probably still too many machines.
@@IceMachine411 awesome thanks for the reply, love the videos !
