    Hi I watch a lot of these 50s chops this wonderful so amazing how you've done it,
    Iive in England just don't get them here I'm 65 years old don't think I'll ever have one so it's just a dream for me.
    Keep up the good work brilliant.

    Courtney, you and Uncle Mike are killing it my friend. And brag away about it being the best way to chop this car!! Some people are just gonna hate no matter what. My opinion, i wouldn't do 26's and rubber bands on it. Think steelies and baby moons would look killer.
    Peace y'all

    The coolest part about your build is , that its going to look like it came from the factory that way... all chopped tops you've ever seen is noticeable its clear thats what was done ... with the way you and Mike have gone about this most people when they see this are going to be like , yeah , there's definitely something has been done... but you're not going to be able to tell where you changed the position of the panels... and the way the bottom of the panels kick out will make this one of the sickest , fattest builds ever !

    The tool that is not the bottle opener is a modified brake adjusting spoon, I had one like this for years.

  • @davidgough1161
    @davidgough1161 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Use a metric measuring tape, it will allow better accuracy for the cuts. They will be consistant on both sides.

    If you didn't see my comment on Turbo John's channel Google 12v to 6v reducer or 12v to 6v relays. It lets you use 6v horns, guages, ect. with 12v charging system. Not expensive and a lot of stores/aftermarket manufacturers carry them.

    That tool that you’re using on the trim is called a brake spoon used to adjust brake shoes

    How you finish the the job ( Windows that roll up and down and interior trim that fits) will determine how "clean" the chop is. Looks good so far.

    I believe the car body you are working on is a ‘46 - ‘48, not a ‘49. Nice work too!

    • @ThePaintPaperHustle
      @ThePaintPaperHustle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a 46-48 style but made in 49. In early 49 they were still using up old left overs from previous year so the early 49s did look like previous years. Titled a 49 though.

    Make four cuts in the window frame to “shrink it the desired size for the glass to be flush-mounted. You can reuse the glass that way.

    The chop/section is flying along. It's nuts. Looking absolutely killer. I am a huge fan of the aero coupe bodies. My friend has his grandparents 19,000mi 50 Buick aero coupe. Awesome car. Straight 8 3 on the tree with OD. Car is like new still

    Courtney, that is the nicest fitting chop I have ever seen and I have seen some serious botch jobs by people that don't look how the bodies flow and fit. You obviously took the time to examine how it was going to fit when cut and re fit. Nice job, sir.

    That tool looks like a motorcycle tire or bike tire spoon. Im curious to see if your going to do any modifications to the front end of the car, like maybe the headlights? Just think there’s a little left to be desired. Just my opinion, you may love them the way they are.

    Yes this chop went easy for you, if you didn't shorten the car then you would of had to cut, splice sections together. Watching others it takes alot of skill to match all the lines and look good. Please stop bragging how it's the best, little disrespectful to those builders who can create a masterpiece out of metal.

    • @ThePaintPaperHustle
      @ThePaintPaperHustle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3
