I always wished we could yield swords, fuel rod cannons, drive wraiths, and have the flamethrower in campaign. They just needed to make the flames not blow up dead grenades and it would be perfect.

Hey Hidden Experia!! I noticed a small subtle detail from the E3 2019 Infinite trailer!! When Chief walks into the cockpit, the camera zooms in. And as it zooms in, we see that the Halo ring "sits" on top of Chief's head... like in the religious sense. Except this Halo is broken. Not sure if this was intentional or if I'm just over thinking it. What could this entail though?

So it's a parallel to the older games. I feel like this is hinting at something.... Having a hard time coming to a conclusion lol It could potentially mean flawed savior.
Thematic significance is omnipresent throughout the Halo franchise. A series as large as this is not pushed out the door without tremendous thought being placed into the ramifications of its artistic meaning. You are not overthinking. This is the mindset our community needs in order to understand Halo.
Something I always found really annoying from a gameplay sense but amazing from a lore sense is how the covenants fuel rod cannons would set to blow after awhile, you don't encounter the fuel rod cannons in Halo CE until well after the flood have been released on Installation 04, and the covenant forces under the command of Thel had been waging a desperate war on the ring to try and quell the flood outbreak, the fact the fuel rod is set to explode on the users death is actually a pretty amazing example of subtle story telling because it shows the unorthodox contingencies the covenant are creating to fight the flood. Detonating explosives on their users death denying the flood both useful weapons and biomass.
Something that always bugs me about Halo lore is the apparent 'top speed' of Covenant vehicles. It seems very undercooked across the board. A 'top speed' of 100KP/h? That's nothing, really. That's pathetic. We have jets in this modern era that are recorded of reaching a top speed 7200 KP/h, and yet the Banshee's '100 KP/h' is supposed to be impressive? My half-broken 2005 Subaru Forrester with more dings and dents than I can count, a non-functioning radio and broken seatbelts goes 100 KP/h without issue at all. The Falcon's able to go to nearly 300 KP/h, but you're telling me that the Banshee, a vehicle designed for aerial superiority and dominance, can't go much faster than a car from almost a century ago? I dunno, to quote Lord Hood... "Something's not right..."

I think Halo CE has the best OVERALL balance of weaponry (minus the magnum, which is generally okay in campaign, but definitely OP for multiplayer). I feel like the Covenant weaponry is VERY useful for what it does, and there is a clear distinction between the UNSC and Covenant weapon functions.
Could you imagine the headaches one would get on legendary if there were sniper Jackals on Assault On The Control Room level? Or on Truth And Reconciliation Level?
I always thought the banshee was the most unique player-flown vehicle in any game. The way CE's banshee "screams" and soars around the sky with ease always had an impact on me.
For me I think personally my favorite covenant weapon has to be the needler I think I remember reading and like the Halo 2 manual and it had these custom descriptions of the weapons from Marines perspectives and I think the description they gave for the needler was something a keen to that if one of these things lodged in you and you try to pull it out it just shatters and now you're stuck with a bunch of smaller pieces in the wound.

My favorite Covenant weapon is probably the Plasma Rifle probably because of how powerful it sounds and how satisfying it is to use on the elites( But only on Halo Combat Evolved)
The covenant arsenal was always lacking in CE, I remember a comment (I think it was a preview of Halo 2) that question how could an alien conquer the galaxy with only 5 hand weapons and a few vehicles? But you did miss a couple although I know these weapons you can never wield. The plasma sword and the CCS cruiser. Also plasma had a freeze mechanic that disappeared on H2.

Awesome video. The CE plasma rifle is the only one in the series that stuns enemies. The energy sword and energy shield also exist for covenant use, as well as the Covenant CCS class cruisers.

Re Halo CE’s weapons I have three-the Plasma rifle, plasma grenade and the fuel rod gun. Despite the Fuel rod not being available to be used bec of the “dead man’s switch” it’s extremely useful for running and gunning any enemy. As for the plasma grenade I love using it especially on those dreaded Gold and black elites (nothing is more sastifying but to hear them scream post the explosion.) as on legendary they can make life a living hell. The plasma rifle is one of my favorite Covenant weapons hands down-especially against the flood infection forms as I pull the trigger and hold it until it overheats just like the black elites do on Legendary difficulty. Nothing is more sastifying but to watch those annoying infections forms pop like popcorn. I usually have to kill those first when I have my marine allies as those infection forms are a marine’s kryptonite.
You should do a flood intro man, don't know how you haven't done that yet. Lol Keep up the amazing work, love the videos. My favorite weapon is the CE plasma rifle because it just felt so good. And vehicle is the Spectre from Halo 2, what can I say, it's a fun covenant alternative to the warthog.. plus it had some solid sections in the campaign.

Despite the Fuel rod not being available to be used bec of the “dead man’s switch” it’s extremely useful for running and gunning any enemy. As for the plasma grenade I love using it especially on those dreaded Gold and black elites (nothing is more sastifying but to hear them scream post the explosion.) as on legendary they can make life a living hell. The plasma rifle is one of my favorite Covenant weapons hands down-especially against the flood infection forms as I pull the trigger and hold it until it overheats just like the black elites do on Legendary difficulty. Nothing is more sastifying but to watch those annoying infections forms pop like popcorn. I usually have to kill those first when I have my marine allies as those infection forms are a marine’s kryptonite.

Keep up the amazing work, love the videos. My favorite weapon is the CE plasma rifle because it just felt so good. And vehicle is the Spectre from Halo 2, what can I say, it's a fun covenant alternative to the warthog.. plus it had some solid sections in the campaign.
