Great to hear your commentary to go with this awesome speed run! For me, watching you, Tyrant, and other mythic vids has given me enough confidence to actually do these LASO challenges. My take away from these vids is that there are many ways to negotiate these levels, so each player can tailor their runs to their own strengths. Hope you do more commentary!
hell yes! more runners should put commentary over their runs. so useful if you're trying to learn how to do it yourself. and it gives me more reason to watch.
@MasterRC Following the path Tyrant shows at 12:08 (going to the white U shaped support column). I think it is a matter of getting there too quickly. The ODSTs are not providing a distraction and the FRoGer grunt hasn't had enough time to move to the upper deck. I usually pause before boosting to the support column and DMR the grunts to get them to move.
@MasterRC Yep. Your path requires a little more precision with the landings and usually doesn't attract the FRG grunt's attention. I think the key is that the ODSTs advancing on the left need to be far enough forward to get the gunts' attention (assuming they haven't plunged to their death). I've even seen a vid where you can go to the right through a soft kill zone completely bypassing all covies, but the countdown goes almost all the way down.
12:08 - 12:12 This part always gives me fits! The FRG grunt usually blasts me as I'm jumping to the building ledge, and the grunts crossing the walkway above start shooting down at me.
Bullshit falcon ride segment. I get shot TWICE by banshees and die. How tf am I supposed to get past that?! And it's like there are seemingly 15 banshees that spawn in.
I know it's a year ago, but kill the other marine in the opposite seat of the falcon you're supposed to get into. The banshees can shoot you that well from that spot during the autoscroller. you'll have to clear the beach enemies though if that's the case, but that's the seat I would suggest to take if you want to get through this level for the achievement or do it in a fg speedrun
hey RC in the falcon part if you kill the other side turret driver and sit in that one you don't get any damage but you can't kill the enemies in the art where you land im sorry if I have bad grammar English is not my first language
I've always wondered what about removing the HUD makes my hands and whatever their holding invisible. Or what makes my invisible hands and guns cast shadows.
Nice man... what would suck more than anything is if one of your Fuel Rod shots at the Hammer Captain before the Falcon area hit a civilian and made you die because of it. I know that if I had gotten that far and then died because I killed a civilian I would've thrown my controller through my window.
Oooh commentary, nice! You sounded a bit nervous/anxious during the intro, you should try writing a script/notes to read from, rather than talking from top of your head, certainly makes it easier on you. Good commentary btw, nice to see you credit my grenade/jetpack jump :) I'll certainly be watching your other missions if you commentate them, makes it more interesting.

i learned from myself jump on the bottom flag and fly to second floor its safer up there and ur above the covies
