I like your list, I used it when readjusting my deck to add the new support. The deck feels really fun to play, the main issues I have run into are that the decks level 6's die a lot to security checks and overall just missing pieces despite all the searching. I do use a bit of different ratios to yourself though, I like using 3 x BT10 Kyubimon and 3 x Youkomon. Honestly I prefer Youkomon but I think the draw power and plug-in recycling from BT10 Kyubimon is too important for the deck. I'm thinking about making some changes and toying with adding in another High Speed Plug-In and even potentially using Reinforcement Plug-In for the extra DP. Still not sure what I would drop for them though. As thing currently stand it would be 1 x Rika dropping it to 3 and the 2 Yellow Memory Boosts. I like the memory boosts in the deck but I think because they can so easily bottom plug-ins or Rikas they can really hinder your game plan. As things stand I went 1-2 at last weeks locals but each game I lost the result was 2-1 in a best of 3 and I lost the game 2 due to bricking. I look forward to seeing how it performs in the future though. I was also running 2 x Blast Flares over the Megalo Sparks because I thought it would be funny since any stack you build will have at least -4000DP onto and opponents digimon when you play an option. I was even able to remove a digimon through it's DP boosts by playing Blast Flare using Kuzuhamon when digivolving and then playing out the Doumon to bounce it.
Ah amazing, thanks for checking it out! It feels bad when the lv 6's die to security for sure, a lot of the time I'm holding off until I have a bit more of an established board before swinging them in. Losing the memory boosts feels like it would be bad for search, but, if you want to replace those & 1x Rika then maybe you want to grab something like the Tai/Kari tamer or even Cody from bt8? Both will give you some memory gain each turn (on top of your setter) & will allow you to reduce the dp of security digimon when attacking. Cody will only work when it's a 2 colour yellow, but if you're going harder on Kuzuhamon then I think that checks out! BT10 Kyubimon's draw power is great for sure, but I tend to keep my plug ins for when im either about to go into a lv6 or I've already got one on board, so they don't tend to see play until I'm in a position to recycle with Sakuya already. Maybe worth messing around with for a bit more consistency? Youko feels too good to not run 4 of, especially for a lower play cost & on play ability. Megalo spark feels too good with Maid Mode for me to drop, but I love the variation we can all run with!
@@RenjiPls I'm still tweaking around with it it as well but I think i'll try running the Tai&Kari tamer with Sunrise buster like I did pre EX4, i'm not running as many tamers but since there are quite a few dp reduce inherrited I feel like even if you only have 2 tamers on board after playing the sunrise for free through Miko Mode or Kuzuhamon then you're still either going to delete the digimon or be able to bounce with Doumon or even stop it from attacking for a turn using EX4 Renamon. Megalo Spark is definitely the correct pick over Blast Flare, honestly I was running it because I found some when looking through bulk and thought it would be funny, the lack of security effect is really bad though. What I am looking forward too for the deck is when we get the physical training option with BT14. Since it lets you take any yellow card and then reduce digivolution costs I don't think it'll make the deck tier 1 but I think it might be close.
If youre struggling with the 11k base, I recommend the BT5 sakuya as a one off. Its easy to go wide with Kuzuha now and just have it chill on the side to essentially make all your Sakuyamon 14k base :)
@@PixelFoxGaming I do currently run it as a one off, mainly because I didn't have a 3rd EX2 Sakuyamon alt. I am tweaking the numbers around with the deck but from the games I played I only saw it once and it didn't make much of an impact. The Sec attack -3 to opponents stuff coming out of raising is also very nice though.
Hi! I’m new to Digimon and preemptively started building a Sakuyamon deck before finding this, but can’t wait to look into the deck and possible changes I need to make! I also tried joining your discord but it said the link has expired?
Ah amazing! Welcome to the game! :) I'm excited for you to see what you vibe with! Oh, we've had some problems with it lately haha - it should work now if you wanna come say hi! discord.gg/kawafam
I would still take out those kyubimons from ex 2 and put the bt10, and also the have been testing it out a lot the deck and for me running 3 rika's was good enough because I feel having one on board was sufficient for the game
I might try a split? the inherited (or lack of) just stung me too many times before which is why I tried to be harsh with my criteria but it might be fun to clown around with mixed ratios & see Also might try 3x Rika again, I do agree I find I have a spare copy in my hand so could free up some space elsewhere. I do just like having more than 1x out for double plug ins/hybrids. Gonna give these ideas a go though ! :) appreciate it!
@@Willyavv get where you're coming from - I just like the extra draw if we have champs in play already, i think having to pay the 1 extra in your worst case scenario feels fine for the trade off
Unless an errata reads differently, Kuzuhamon cannot be used with the Maid Mode combo. Which I would argue is stupid, as both Youkomon and Doumon are treated as Kyubimon and Taomon, respectively. But Kuzuhamon is the only one to have the "treated as having Sakuyamon in its name" treatment.
Agreed, it makes me think the fact they specifically worded it differently means they had this exact combo in mind haha. Maid Mode -> Kuzuha feels broken for double cheap option sadge
@@RenjiPls I honestly don't think if Kuzuhamon was treated as Sakuyamon, and it worked with the Maid Mode combo, would the deck have been any much better. At best I think the deck would've been on par with Beelstarmon. There are so many decks that burn extra security nowadays, that being able to reuse options and place them into security, means fairly little. Players choose to play with Venusmon over Sakuyamon Maid Mode, and being able to combo slightly doesn't sound like it would change that. Especially when you consider the weird clunkiness of Renamon's archetype. It "works", but I've always found it more often than not, that the deck pieces are rarely assembled at the right time; you rarely have the right options or plug-ins with the right "when digivolving" effect triggers.
@@ArcDragoon I suppose, but there's not much stopping them from allowing the deck to have a lil more oomph, you know? I agree that Venusmon's a much more relevant card into the meta, sadly this will never compete but it would be nice to have a little more going for it, you know? haha
@@RenjiPls I'm not arguing against that. I was just stating that there is no actual point to giving Kuzuhamon this nerf, when it really served no purpose. The only way I could see Sakuyamon becoming a threat, if Kuzuhamon was worded differently, is if we were no longer getting security burn Digimon. But I highly doubt that's gonna happen. It's one of the reasons I think JetSilphymon can come off the restricted list. There are so many decks that are too efficient in destroying security now.
EX4 is such a fun set. The only thing I'm kind of miffed about is that they burned an SR *and* a SEC slot on giving us two more Omnimon variants when they could have done so much more interesting stuff. Did you know Kuzuhamon has a Miko Mode as well? How cool would that have been to have in here? But no, gotta throw out the millionth variation of a Digimon they could have put into basically any other set instead :/
Kuzuhamon's Miko Mode is so sick! I would love to see it in the game, especially if it's a cool take on the Sakuya effect, like - search your stack for an option card that costs 5 or less & play it? Would give you some incentive to try play it a bit more tribal & trade them off Please for the love of god, bandai - give her a signature option card that brings this whole deck together please ahahahaha
This deck is fun when it works but man I really hate how specific the searchers are. Many times my searches completely whiff. Hardplay a Renamon and reveal Kyubimon search targets. Evolve into Kyuubimon right after and reveal the Renamon search targets. Very frustrating.
I have had this EXACT scenario happen far too many damn times ahahaha Or evo one of them in the back, hard play the other & I get the opposite targets, you know? ahahahaha fml
honestly I just don't see me investing that heavily into just the one stack - in most of my games I'm either building up stack 2 or 3 or the 1's had enough juice to keep me moving forward I don't think it's a bad card, just not in my playstyle I reckon ! you could easily sub 1 or 2 copies in place of the other plug ins
agreed - i think with all the recent Takato love & the possibility of the Terriermon/Lopmon deck featuring a Henry/Shu-Chong tamer; we might be in luck for some sore of Rika next year? Sheer copium ahahahaha
@@RenjiPls And there we go. BT-17 announced a new Warp Digivolve Rika like the Takato, put Rika, a Kyubimon and Taomon under one of your Renamons to warp straight to Sakuyamon. Any thoughts on that one?
I played the deck at locals tonight and I went 2-1-1 which I think is okay. It’s a very stressful deck to play because you have so many options. The games I had ease was always with ex2 Sakuyamon. She’s amazing and I found Kazu amazing because she splits and applies pressure. Combined with Sakuyamon you can minus and bounce a lot. I run 3 Sakuya. 3 Miko and 2 Kazu. After tonight I’d drop Miko down 1 and Lazu up 1. To me Miko is situational and I’d rather her be something else. I run 8 lvl 5. 4 play free tamer and a split of the other two. I also play the Kyubi to get options back at 2. Other then that the deck did what it need too. I couldn’t get over Omnimon. I like your list as mines more plug in heavy with +3000 and the new plug in. Sakuyamon 💕 this deck can play so many ways now.
we love to see it! I like the 3-3-2 split on the lvl 6's right now too but I really wanna make space for that 3rd Kuzuha - I feel like I'd just wanna change up all my options though too hahaha ggs on your games!
@@RenjiPls we need another Rika tamer. Possibly 3 cost that lets you get plug ins back from trash or tap to make the line get DP. It’s her biggest weakness with so many high DP around. She died to security way too much. I think The deck doesn’t apply enough pressure like every other deck. The combos are crazy and I hate having to use Jamming Plug in to be safe. There is a bt13 kazuhamon that abuses the 4 cost bt1 option that makes 1 of your opponents Digimon go to 3K and then you bounce them or kill them with inheritables. I really wanna try it
Eh...the title is a bit cap 😂 I found mixing the two Level 6 foxes in the same deck caused topend bricks. Didnt help the whole Plug-In/Rika core was 10+ cards of the deck that had a weird balance of "want to see them bur not too often". It kinda plays like a crappier UlForce. I quickly slotted away any Plug-In related cards. Also doesnt help that the BT10 Kyubimon and Taomon dont have Inherits for some baffling reason I think its best to play the deck how Asia does it when EN gets access to the BT13:VS Royal Knights set. By that I mean pure Kazuhamon control. EX02 Viximon/EX02 Renamon/EX04 Renamon/EX04 Youkomon/EX04 Doumon/EX04 Kazuhamon and BT10 Sakuyamon Maid Mode still remain in their lists. The tamer they focused on was BT01 TK, the one that searches through Security. The lists I saw used the Odins Breath option from BT13 with Megalo Spark from BT11. They seem to love DNA Kimeramon as well. The 4s and 5s had quite a bit of build flexibility. Some lists were on YB Angemon/Shakkoumon. Another list I saw was BT06 Pulsemon + Promo Boutmon to push out a cheap intial Kazuha stack and to enable Odins Breath. Kazuhamon is a Shaman so Promo Boutmon's effect works. When EN gets access to the BT14 Box Toppers, we get a free 4-of Yellow Training promo card.
This is definitely the most consistent the deck has ever been haha - I've had way more fun with it since adding these newer cards for sure. I only really feel like there's bricks if I go into Maid Mode & then never see another Sakuyamon (which hasn't really been the case yet) but I get you. If I wanted to make it more Kuzu focused I think I'd honestly remove the Rika/Plug Ins & make it more turbo evo & option heavy? The BT13 list sounds like a lot of fun though! Keeps enough of the deck that I'd enjoy playing it ahahahaha - Odin's Breath sounds LOVELY! I'm in, gets around the 'trashed from stack' issue too! Fire, love it. I'd like to make a Rika-less plug-in free version of the list for sure
Its best to play the deck focused on Kazuhamon with no Rika/Plug-In like how Asia does it from BT13 onward. The deck starting seeing tops the moment they dropped Rika/Plug-Ins

I have made some good experiences with slotting a Shinegreymon Ruin Mode into a deck like this. Especially if you run the new yellow Plug-In with the -DP then with it's potential -10k DP on every enemy this is practically a board wipe. It does suck that it means that it insta dies in response, but that could still be worth it.

I would still take out those kyubimons from ex 2 and put the bt10, and also the have been testing it out a lot the deck and for me running 3 rika's was good enough because I feel having one on board was sufficient for the game
I might try a split? the inherited (or lack of) just stung me too many times before which is why I tried to be harsh with my criteria but it might be fun to clown around with mixed ratios & see
Also might try 3x Rika again, I do agree I find I have a spare copy in my hand so could free up some space elsewhere. I do just like having more than 1x out for double plug ins/hybrids.
Gonna give these ideas a go though ! :) appreciate it!
@RenjiPls qlso i wouldnt dare use zephirmon. She evolve in 3 intead of 2 when you need a champion and doesn't have any other cards in hand
@@Willyavv get where you're coming from - I just like the extra draw if we have champs in play already, i think having to pay the 1 extra in your worst case scenario feels fine for the trade off
@@RenjiPls i see it, i think ill try it too
@@Willyavv lemme know how you get on! I'm gonna keep an eye on it for more testing too, see if Kaze maybe works in future builds
Maid Mode -> Kuzuha feels broken for double cheap option
sadge
@@RenjiPls
I honestly don't think if Kuzuhamon was treated as Sakuyamon, and it worked with the Maid Mode combo, would the deck have been any much better.
I agree that Venusmon's a much more relevant card into the meta, sadly this will never compete but it would be nice to have a little more going for it, you know? haha
@@RenjiPls
I'm not arguing against that.
@@ArcDragoon oh for sure! I didn't think you were :) was mostly a comment towards bandai! haha
a shake up of the restricted list would be welcome tbf
Would give you some incentive to try play it a bit more tribal & trade them off
Please for the love of god, bandai - give her a signature option card that brings this whole deck together please
ahahahaha
This deck is fun when it works but man I really hate how specific the searchers are. Many times my searches completely whiff. Hardplay a Renamon and reveal Kyubimon search targets. Evolve into Kyuubimon right after and reveal the Renamon search targets. Very frustrating.
I have had this EXACT scenario happen far too many damn times ahahaha
Or evo one of them in the back, hard play the other & I get the opposite targets, you know? ahahahaha fml
miko mode kazuha and i'll play
you heard the gal @bandai
I mean, as an actual Digimon, it exists. (Ghost Game.)
Not sure when it will be added to the DCG.
@@yusheitslv100 yeah thats what i mean c: i want her as a card haha ^^
why no digital translator?
honestly I just don't see me investing that heavily into just the one stack - in most of my games I'm either building up stack 2 or 3 or the 1's had enough juice to keep me moving forward
I don't think it's a bad card, just not in my playstyle I reckon !
you could easily sub 1 or 2 copies in place of the other plug ins
We need another Rika
agreed - i think with all the recent Takato love & the possibility of the Terriermon/Lopmon deck featuring a Henry/Shu-Chong tamer; we might be in luck for some sore of Rika next year?
I like the 3-3-2 split on the lvl 6's right now too but I really wanna make space for that 3rd Kuzuha - I feel like I'd just wanna change up all my options though too hahaha
ggs on your games!
I really wanna try it
Eh...the title is a bit cap 😂
I found mixing the two Level 6 foxes in the same deck caused topend bricks. Didnt help the whole Plug-In/Rika core was 10+ cards of the deck that had a weird balance of "want to see them bur not too often". It kinda plays like a crappier UlForce. I quickly slotted away any Plug-In related cards. Also doesnt help that the BT10 Kyubimon and Taomon dont have Inherits for some baffling reason
I think its best to play the deck how Asia does it when EN gets access to the BT13:VS Royal Knights set.
Deck's still trash, sorry
ahahahaha no apologies needed, I'm still loving it
thats not nice, bro was just trying to enjoy his Sakuyamon deck
@@tstcg3867 the S in Tier S stands for Sakuyamon
Its best to play the deck focused on Kazuhamon with no Rika/Plug-In like how Asia does it from BT13 onward. The deck starting seeing tops the moment they dropped Rika/Plug-Ins
@@tstcg3867 you need to get a thicker skin man, I didnt call him trash LMAO
Im sure everybody knows pure Sakuya aint even tier 2. I swear the invention of the internet and social medias gave birth to a lot of sawftees. The fact that you felt inclined to leave a comment to argue a pointless thing is hilarious to me 😂
I have made some good experiences with slotting a Shinegreymon Ruin Mode into a deck like this. Especially if you run the new yellow Plug-In with the -DP then with it's potential -10k DP on every enemy this is practically a board wipe. It does suck that it means that it insta dies in response, but that could still be worth it.
Im SO sorry im late to this, big detox from the YT but ruin mode seems like such a fun option! I actually took a more updated version of this (but still very tribal) to the Evo cup last month & got 3rd with it... so i think there's still something to be said for the deck! Thanks for commenting!
@bandai digital tcg please!
it would be SUCH a game changer fr
