What I like about card opening TH-camrs, is that I can pretend that I’m opening the pack myself without the slap of disappointment at the end if I don’t get a banger
I got the big Crown Zenith (I think) Sam’s club box for my kid for Christmas, along with other boxes. It was $40 with fourteen packs and promos, so even if he didn’t pull anything, it was a lot of fun for a good price. But first pack he pulled a $180 card, second pack a $70, then a few $30-$50 cards! He tallied up over $400 in value with just a few cards. Best box he’s opened and there have been a LOT of boxes and tins!
I got a Sea and Sky box for Christmas and pulled the Mewtwo V Star. I tried to find another box and they're sold out everywhere now with scalpers reselling online for double retail.
Pokémon 151 paradox rift , temporal forces, paldean fates, twilight masquerade , surging sparks are all great great sets. Scarlett and violet is just going insane . It’s a great era

I recently opened 4 booster bundles of Japanese Terastal Festival and got a mini-God pack! It had one common, 6 foil pokeball cards, and 3 SAR Eeveelutions, Jolteon, Leafeon, and Umbreon! I also got the SAR Espeon and Gold Pikachu as well from other packs. Overall, it was a fun set to open!
Twilight Masquerade is also crazy playable. Like all the TWM cards you pulled are playable it's ridiculous. You go into any local game store and TWM is either overpriced or gone
I got back into collecting with some Paldean Fates bundles I found at my Target in October and I wish i knew at the time how quickly all those tins and boxes would disappear.
Honestly the worst collection box of 2024 was the Greninja box from GameStop...... Should have had that Greninja illustration promo in that instead of shrouded fable
@BigL80 facts I know lol 😂. But yes they had the kingdra and Greninja special illustration promo boxes that came with five packs and 3 promos the kingdra one looks pretty good but the Greninja would be the one that everyone likes.

i pulled a festival demigod pack just the other day - the SAR umbreon, sylveon, and vaporeon! honestly, i am in LOVE with that set. definitely gotta pick up some more if i see them out in the wild.

If you find the Evoultions Tins and it NOT fully wrapped & the plastic is that hard crinkled kind, you'll get the packs Mystic got. If you find the tins and they are 100% wrapped in a softer plastic you'll get 1 Brilliant Stars, 1 Fusion Strike & 2 Evolving Skies packs. They retail for $21.98 per tin. Idk why but Out of the 5 Walmarts in my area 4 of them sell these at retail. But the Walmart behind my house sell these tins for $13.99!
if you want pretty cards I recommend CZ. it has some absolutely stunning artworks, the packs cost about half of what 151 costs and the pull rate is very decent.

i wish packs weren't so exppensive over here. normal single booster is 7€ at basic stores but in cheaper stores that stock older boosters you can get them with 4€. at the moment the cheap ones seem to be paradox rift. personally im atm just trying to fill my card pokedex, we'll see when i get that done.

when 151 was released it was Everywhere for MSRP for a year almost, the price went up and started doing crazy early to mid 2024 around april-august ,
My local card shop sells Pokemon 151 packs for 12.99 each. Absolutely atrocious. I buy the booster bundle for 49.99 at Walmart.
Booster bundles retail for $26, so that’s still paying extra. Fully agree $8/pack is better than $13, sucks there never seems to be any in stores

As someone who started in September, the last three sets of this year are what I think are the best of this era.
In Canada, packs of 151 are going for $12 from vendors at shows, $15-$22 online (CAD) and the booster bundle you just opened is “worth” $85-$140.
Canada has terrible base rates for Pokémon cards across the board. A huge markup
