    "You're 100 pounds over weight, you're diabetic and THIS is what you are focusing on?"- Thank you Chef AJ for saying what I want to say so badly to some people! The amount of sick and over weight people that say things like this is overwhelming! There is sooo much BAD information out there, and also it seems as though people look for any excuse to continue to eat the way they are eating even though it is making them fat and sick.

    “Do everything Dr Goldhamer says,” words to live by.
    I don’t think I’m the only one here who began by thinking, “what’s the BEST way to eat?”
    And now we know: a pound of vegetables (at LEAST) with every meal.
    I’ve noticed that if I eat vegetables first, I eat way more potatoes than I need and often keep going after my stretch receptors have fired off. So I eat a few small potatoes or a sweet potato first, then I eat my steamed cabbage or steamed broccoli or brussels until I’m full. It’s a real thing that the potatoes are more calorically-dense than the steamed vegetables so they’re more palatable.
    It’s easier to stop eating the steamed vegetables when I’m “just-right” full. They’re just not as interesting as the potatoes.
    A pound of vegetables at every meal. Damn. Wish somebody had told me this in the first grade of school. That would have been VERY useful.

    Woohoo!! Happy 25th!!! I have done 3 day, 7 day, 18 day and 30 day juice fasts and although I did shed weight I have gained it all back and then some! The juice fasts did help me to change my diet to a vegan diet so I will always be grateful for that! I do enjoy eating so the starch/plant based diet is perfect for me!! When I cook and set my laptop on my kitchen counter and replay my favorite TH-cam interviews and I too always seem to hear something I missed - plus it helps me get inspired about my health. I find myself hearing a little voice in my head say: "The fat you eat is the fat you wear!" Thank you so much for Weight Loss Wednesdays - I look forward to these vlogs so much and they are truly a gift to have in my life! :) BIG hugs to you!! :)

    I like finishing my day off with a little refrigerated roasted Japanese sweet potato. It's basically dessert at the end of the day for me.

    When you said 'dates are like methadone' I instantly knew exactly what you meant!! I have been sneaking a date here and there to get a sweet fix and before I knew it one turned into a couple then I wanted them every night. I might not be able to keep them around which is funny because my husband has all manner of things around that I can't have and I am not tempted by them one bit. I guess because the dates are a whole food I feel like they are 'safe'. A friend suggested I keep them in the freezer. I'll try that first. Thank you for these episodes! They are so incredibly helpful!!

    I watched one of your older videos from 6 years ago ,, you have lost a lot more weight since then ,,, I am struggling.. lost 15kg but have 10 more kg to lose and its not easy ..

    I saw Dr Oz promote the air fryer last week, but he and his guest showing it said you have to use a "little" bit of oil. Are you not including the oil? Thanks for another marvelous WLW, I live for them ;) 💚💚💚

    Thanks so much for answering my question. (It is Car-uh .... love that you knew both pronunciations.) I've wondered about the Cornell course. I have yet to justify the expense, but it's definitely on my goals list. Also, now I don't feel so bad anymore for watching so many TH-cam videos about whole foods plant-based eating!

    I don't really have more than 5 to 10 pounds to lose, but how bad is it to have Stevia in your coffee in the morning? I buy the organic drops from whole foods, and I really only have 2 cups in the morning.

    i order steamed rice & vegetables at a restaurant and the obese people next to me stare as if im an alien but the thin azn waiter thought it was an excellent choice...
