My God ... it looks very simple but I don't think I can do it, better when you come to Cancun let me know and I'll buy you a ceviche and some beers and we do it ...
I just priced this kit on your site. Cost over Thousand dollars and doesn't come with speedo conversion unit from what I read. Too pricey for some plastic and set of gauges and senders .
@@FRUMACO I did thier two smaller companies withdraw good reviews .One out of Florida and one from California. The one I bought gauge set setup was from California . Don't have them in front of me at moment to give the name sorry. But they are great about answering phone calls and emails. A set I picked was several hundred dollars with all sensors and instructions. Getting ready soon to finally install them. It's been a long project.

I have an LM7 almost ready to go into my Jeep TJ. Retaining only the GM ECU. Not the Jeep PCM. What I didn't get out of this video is, will the new Jeep Branded Autometer work with GM engines without the dual headed ECU/PCM?
Hi Jeff! Our technical support team will be able to help you out with that. You can reach them at 866.248.6357 or on our website www.autometer.com/contacts
Well cam in the semi was done. Kinda saped my funds. Steve shrtz is gonna give me a hand doin the head suds. Then i can start assembling the butt load of parts.
do you guys know the wheel/tire combo used for that Jeep by any chance ? Also, do you guys know if i can use the speedo and tachometer to replace the stock ones? I’m restoring my Jeep and I need those two units new and I liked the ones you guys offer.
Hi Cesar, We currently do not have a video of this installation on a TJ, but we will be producing more videos in the future. There is a direct fit dash panel that will work with the TJ, here is a link to it: www.autometer.com/jeep-tj-direct-fit-gauge-panel.html Let us know if you have any more questions!
What other components were used outside those included in the 7040 package? Also, if the white LED’s aren’t purchased will thing ring color be either red or green?
Hello Andy! The 7040 package includes the following Oil Sender 2242, Trans Temp Sender 2258, Water Sender 2258, 1/4" NPT, 3/8" NPT and 1/2" NPT adapter fittings, Bulb & Socket 3220 (which is a white incandescent light for the ring color), Light Covers Red 3214 & Green 3215, and mounting brackets. For the braided lines, we have a variety of sizes in the accessories category on our website.
Never drill a grommet... Worst case use a knife or an actual grommet punch tool...and if you are pulling ground to under the hood... Run it to the battery... The engine ground could be bad. Aka on a Jag 😉
160 MPH speedo in a Jeep ? What are they thinking ? At best , you’re using HALF of that speedo , the other half wasted space . That means all of the useable numbers are crammed between 7and 12 o’clock positions . For the money they are asking for this kit , I’d expect better .
Nice weld braze job
Best YJ custom dashboards so far, in my opinion...

Most favorite imho
to auto meter: why not use 2 wire gauge senders... isolated ground and direct to the gauges!
Our short sweep gauges typically use a single wire sensor, but all of our full sweep electric gauges do feature 2 sensors.
That head unit belongs in a prius
Ahhh the ground is the battery negative champ
What up mills!!!! 😎🤘🏻
Hey buddy! How's the 4BT swap treating you? Gotta wheel that thing over by the place for bbq sometime soon.

Need a view from the drivers seat post op.
Is that the normal ol' D35? How in the world is it not breaking behind the 350?
Can we just use stock wires with stock drivetrain?
may I ask what brand and or part # is that radiator ?

Wow gorgeous YJ, anyone know the exact paint color of the body?
Have you guys done this with a jeep wrangler tj 1997-2006? Is it possible or do you guys have a tutorial video on that specific upgade? TIA

Ground to battery, then run to body, then frame. The more grounds the better.
it's earthed to the manifold because both the temp and oil senders are in the manifold. it's clearly not a jag so that's as irrelevant as jags are.
Its hip to be square
a couple thousand dollars is put better somewhere else. The prices in my opinion are rediculous
what is the cost of this kit thanks for the info
Hi Ed! The complete kit is $1,234.95.
@@AutoMeterTechwhat is the price actually ? Is is universal? I have an AMC 401 engine swapped in to a yj
