Rangel Farias is pretty high level coach and is the owner of the gym I train at. He has had many sparring sessions with Pereira. Farias said that before them he thought that Pereira's defense was super bad and that his left hook was his main and strongest weapon. He changed his tune pretty quickly after those sessions. Farias told me that Alex simply doesn't give you a room to breath. That his defense is his timing and how he rolls with the punches. And that people have no idea how strong his right is. He keeps landing his left hooks because you feel his straight right and you realize how much power they have, so you forget about the left because now you're worried about his straight punch and boom. It's also worth notice that Pereira not only walked in with a broken toe on his right but also broke a toe on his left on his third low kick. That's why they were off and he stopped using them altogether. Hill was lucky that Pereira injured his right, Alex said that he fully intended to attack Hill's injured leg even tho it wasn't his lead leg.
Yeah on a glance it looks like Pereira just has a good left hook. But his striking is like a puzzle. His left jab is like a lance, his right hand is strong enough to make fighters avoid it, his calf kicks reduces the movement, his high kicks are a constant threat, his knees makes clinching very dangerous, and of course his left hook is right there if you make a single mistake. Add that in with his reach, underrated reflexes, surprisingly good speed for a man his size, elite fight IQ. And you got a complete package of a striker.

A lot of MMA guys don’t like to hold the phone. Especially taller dudes like Jamahal Hill and Pereira. What about all that brain damage, Bro, you got knocked the F@#* out at the start of the fight, AP didn't even get sweaty, he didn't have to wear you down, or play the games, he didn't have to test your cardio, or your pain tolerance, he put you down as soon as he decided to do so.
He was also "controlling" getting knocked the f out This is the problem with most fighters: denial Denial never allows you to grow. Because you don't see mistakes you've made. Also, this is why they have coaches, coaches that actually see how horrible the fight was and to make adjustments.
That's also one of the factors I really appreciate about Pereira. No salt, no complaining, no trying to puff up his ego. When he lost to Izzy, he just accepted it for what it was and moved on to the next fight instead of holding a petty grudge and coming up with corny one-liners. He doesn't spend time coming up with derisive nicknames for Izzy's fans like Izzy has for his (Poatards). He fights clean, doesn't need to resort to eye-poking every opponent like Jon "Ducking Aspinall" Jones.
He’s his own worst enemy when it comes to how he progresses and grows from this loss. If he really believes that he is “way” better. Then he has already hit his ceiling.

he will be lucky to beat roundtree, if he does, give him top 5 after that, rakic, reyes and blachowicz will all beat him.
9 times out of 10 pereira kos him.
hes like rockhold and hernandez, believed their own hype and got found out.
I dont know about reyes but jan, ankalaev and rakic would dismantle this overrated guy.
Reyes ? nah he's not washed up calm down he's just mid
Dudes talking like he's in a bar and the fight wasn't televised in front of millions🤡🤡🤡
5:13 most of the fall was me falling down 🤣
Lol
PSA for anyone in his inner circle : Never unmask a Narcissist, just run. run far away.
alex now recently break the hardest punching record also of Francis ngannou's by a mile ! Alex poatan 🪨 pereira the greatest fighter to ever live in all fighting sports 👑🐐🔥🙌🏻and he's the only one to hold two belts simultaneously in glory 👑and UFC too 🙌🏻🐐👑
I felt bad when jamhall got knocked out, but seeing him makes excuses and cope like this is just sad, he took a dangerous fight with a dangerous opponant, that might be the end of him
Dope video, exactly on point. Humble pie served.
You're jealous you've accomplished nothing compared to Jamahal
@@juntjoonunya9216really? you know me? Lmao
commands and gamemanship?!?! Hahahahaha Jamal gives a thumbs up, touches gloves,he throws a left and somehow he wasn't ready?? LOL
Jamahal did all that in the short period of time he was knocked out. IS he trying to say he lost because after the referee tried to stop, Alex threw a dirty punch? Comon Jamahal, you got your butt handed to you. You are still seeing stars. If the referee did not stop it, you would be in the ghost club.
Jamahal after the fight: "I was boxing the bleedin head off em, kicking the bleedin leg off em. This is not over!"
honestly before i thought he was kinda nice cuz he was the former champ tho after all those talking hes quite as bad as izzy too arrogant and cant back shit up he talk way too much shit that doesnt make any sense
What.....Izzy "can't back shit up"?
In what universe?
@@FramrodLiggins This universe. He promised knockouts and amazing finishes and half his championship was sleeper boring decisions of running away.
@@Tigo625 plus the cringy ass shit talks he did💀always talking about murdering his opponent then ending up on a snoozefest decision and you wonder why nobody likes him
@@Tigo625it's one thing to hate but to be delusional while hating is different 😂
@@nicknick9863 You said nothing of substance. It's literally just true. Romero, Vettori, Cannonier, Whittaker 2. All boring leg kick, runaway (some close) decisions.
he acts as if the fight went 5 rounds
We wuz kang and shieeeet
Yooo please share the name if you know it🙏
CHAMA
Most of the fall, most of the fall was me falling down.
No shit, that's how falls work!
2 things that was incredibly obvious that night when Max Holloway was bouncing in the ring before the fight even started and Alex calmly shutting any thing offensive Hill even thought of.
Man, Hill isn't able to realize that make you feel like you r doing well is what poatan's game is all about...
"Most of the fall was me falling down"
- Jamahal Hill
It’s one thing to win a few rounds and get caught, that can justify a rematch, but bro is trying to grasp straws and find a moral victory in a 1 minute fight where he got mollywhopped. Jamahal is coping, maybe spent too much time with salty man Anthony Smith
Protect yourself at all times like Alex pulled a Mayweather? He threw the first punch after the break. He got countered with the left hook cos he bit on the feint right straight and threw his left cross 😂
🤣🤣 This dude said "I took no damage" 🤣🤣 You took the worst kind of damage. What about all that brain damage, Bro, you got knocked the F@#* out at the start of the fight, AP didn't even get sweaty, he didn't have to wear you down, or play the games, he didn't have to test your cardio, or your pain tolerance, he put you down as soon as he decided to do so.
"In the fight I was doing good things"... it barely lasted 3 minutes.
Its very interesting how the ego of a person works, how are you suppose to learn to get better without humility and wisdom
Why black fighters cant just accept they lost without making excuses, it's always the same s..t
It's just how it is, blaxx can't accept faxx. They keep lying to you, until you accept their delusion.
He was also "controlling" getting knocked the f out
This is the problem with most fighters: denial
Denial never allows you to grow.
Because you don't see mistakes you've made.
Also, this is why they have coaches, coaches that actually see how horrible the fight was and to make adjustments.
Got hit so hard he was sent to another universe where he did win lol
Jamahal is so goddamn delusional
Really well done video, Hill clearly can’t accept his loss and that amount of class is what is expected of actual Champs
This man got his conscience kicked out of him.
It’s weird that everyone knows what Alex is going to do yet so many people fall for it.
He always jabs t9 t(e body to get you to drop your hands and protect your body then boom left hand .
I like Jamahall Hill. I think he got too out of shape from the long lay off. Should have came back to an easier fight.
2:46 why is he talking like he went 5 rounds? dude didnt even last 5 mins
This is a pretty fair take good job!
He looks like he's being held hostage somewhere and there's a guy offscreen pointing a gun at him and forcing him to read from a script that's complete bullshit.
But then Ankalaev got even worse resume, but everyone swear that he's the contender))))
Ankalaev and aspinall are slowly being set up to lose and be food for pereria, both are hype trains
"Most of the fall was me falling down" Jamahal Hill 2024.
Pereria gave sweet dreams to jamahal with the left hand jamahal still has dementia
