Jahmahal LITERALLY threw a punch at the same time Alex did! WTF are you talking about Rogan?

Damn people are fucking weird in 2024
it's a discussion about jamal losing focus. yes, he can punch while losing focus. why are you crying about a discussion, calm down
What if it's Alex on the ground sleeping? Nobody like DC or Rogan ever want to talk if that happen. Hill blaming Herb, just show that Hill refuse to believe that he got sleep because of Hill.
They touched gloves. I thought that was the universal sign for "I'm ready"?
You are correct
Correct
Youre correct joe is just an idiot

Alex got hit in the nuts, so Jamahal needed the break.
Makes total sense. It’s true
But he put his thumb up and proceeded to throw a punch and got countered
that`s is my argument, so i need a break just kick the other fight in the nuts for extra time to relax
@@Caiden1400 he meant to be ironic
i dont think their point is if the result was wrong or if jamahal needed time, but asking if it wasnt not for that the result would be the same.

Yeah I don't really like him. Especially how he made fun of Jiri Prochazka's samurai lifestyle on the podcast then to his face he's always really respectful.
which pod was that i wanna see it
@@MournfulOG ill try and find it then I'll let you know. But he said it was weird than when he's around Jiri he's all respect, which is just fake. And I'll bet Jiri doesn't even know or care because he's not fake or petty, he's a real man. Joe has gave me chameleon vibes for years now bro. Jiri and Alex Pereira are where its at. 🔥🔥🔥
Now alex is being criticised for being aware and attentive in match even after low hit , wahhhhh.
I really like Jamahal Hill, but damn this excuse making by him and some in the UFC media is weak af. It really feels like some of these dudes like Cormier and Anthony Smith etc. don't respect Pereira as champion because he came from Kickboxing.
They don’t, Anthony Smith hyped tf out of Jamalal and completely discredited what Alex has done
and they would get their asses kicked by a kickboxer
Of course they do, if Pereira came from wrestling they'd be calling him the goat by now😂
I do believe Pereira lacks a good ground game and I think Ankalaev will be able to capitalize off that, but I also think he Is Just so good at everything else he could win by defending takedowns and keeping It on the feet🤷🏻♂️ what poatan has done is nothing short of extraordinary
@@umarjongi3590Alex would maul Smith’s soul out of his body for sure.
Pereira has at least three controversial wins right now. And that's just MMA😆
This controversy exist only in Joe Rogan, Chael Sonnen and Daniel Cormier's minds
Yep.. And Hill was the one calling them up to cry about it...
Come on now all these guys are reputable fighters...so try and understand tha points they are putting across...a young up and coming fighter can learn from Hill's mistakes here
@@shashanagodbless4843 Come on what? They are literally making excuses for their friend Jamahal. If they had a legit argument I'd feel the same as you, but they don't
@@shashanagodbless4843 they are old and casuals
Jamahal Wilder and Deontay Hill, I hope that they change names.
The man got slept with a counter punch and claims he wasn't ready smh
he needed a little more time after kicking someone in the nuts 😭😭😂
That wasn’t a counter punch, are you dumb? 😂Jamal didn’t threw any punch prior to that knockdown
This argument is genuinely so boring now, there's literally 3 moments before the left hook that clearly indicate the fight was continuing
1. Herb literally tells them to continue (you would think that is a pretty good sign to continue fighting)
2. They then touch gloves (another indication the fight has restarted)
3. Hill then throws a straight punch (which again I would think, this indicates that jamahall was aware the fight was continuing)
Periera then counters & puts him to sleep, there's literally 0 controversy
Best described 👍🏽
Counter Argument.
1. Herb didn't restart the fight properly, hence the reason this its a discussion in the first place.
2.If you watch Luke Thomas's breakdown they hand fight with their lead hands (Similar to a touch of gloves) while also trying to get foot position. When Jamal put his hands out for a touch of gloves Alex took a half step as if they were hand fighting. So jamal saw it as a break in the action but Alex took the opportunity to gain foot position as if they were hand fighting.
3.The straight right comes as a reaction to the pressure and feeling of having your distance compromised. Super common response that even amateurs are told to look out for hen their opponents are on the ropes. Just watched a Cory Sandhagan video explaining this and it's a super common mistake that a lot of fighters do when they feel pressure.
I think it was a brilliant win by Alex just shows how technical he is, and how a little lapse in judgment can get you knocked out instantly. I think Herb would be saying he wished he did a better job here too though, and Jamal should of recognised that his distance was compromised earlier, and shouldn't of responded with an off balance right hand. Great win by Alex executed beautifully especially with that parry and slip of the right hand while throwing the left hook, but as a fighter and a fan of the sport a super interesting sequence and i'm happy both sides are being discussed because I noticed the same thing first time I watched it.
@@coffeine1924 you just want to argue bro stop babbling. Your points didn’t even make sense.
1. It was 100% a legitimate call by Herb. If both fighters are completely fine and wish to continue then the timeout for the illegal shot is stopped and the fight continues. This has happened multiple times before where a fighter gets hit by an illegal shot but they just tell the ref it’s fine and they immediately continue fighting after the ref says continue. For example Demetrius Johnson did this in almost the same exact fashion Pereria did it.
2. Not sure if they really gloved touched or not but that doesn’t matter because the ref said continue and Jamahal was still clearly ready to fight, and even if he wasn’t that’s not Pererias fault. I guarantee you if Pereria and Jamahal switched positions Jamahal would be saying “protect yourself at all times bro.”
3. So you just admitted that Jamahal threw a straight right? Which means he’s ready to fight does it not? Him being threatened by the distance has nothing to do with the call that herb dean made lmao. If Herb dean says continue and Jamahal throws a straight shot and Alex immediately counters then that’s fair game and lights out for Jamahal. I don’t understand the point of ur comment lol
NO controversy, NO excuse. Be prepared at all times!
Perfectly said bro!
Hill threw the first left hook, Alex countered
left straight but ya he did throw first
I see the point that Hill has with the closing the distance, but protect yourself at all times and I think Hill thought Herb was going to step in until Pereira waved it off and Hill threw that "Oh f**k" moment and would've been finished the next round
@@bkennedy19XX then he shouldn’t have thrown a punch. He got countered. Zero excuse
@@Romanus- no, he should have never thrown that punch since the next 10 punches would've been waaaaaaaayyyyyy too much damage to his brain

@@Rikiko722 because anyone with a brain can think: 1. The action should not be reset, it's up to the FOULED fighter, in that case, Alex. 2. Gloves were touched, if you look at the frame before they touch gloves, neither of them is in jab distance and Alex even hops back. And of course, 3. @@Lil_tro_Vertthen hill shoulda step back or move to his side? Bro there’s no way Hill coulda have not known the distance is closer, shoot (or fake) a take down if he feels the cage is behind him. That way it’ll create distance and will have Alex backing.
It’s MMA not boxing, also had the scenario switch Joe would complain Alex not taking the full timeout to recover/reset.
This is beyond delusional. First of all the shot was to the groin not the hip. Second, Hill was the first to engage after the interruption. On top of all that this happens pretty often in a fight.

The whole lead up to this fight I was like.. am i missing something here?? Everybody talking Hill up so much, saying everyone is underestimating him... and Alex completely outclassed him. So no I wasnt missing anything and I still have no idea why people think Hill was ever gonna win. Jiri is better than Hill by far and i dont even like Jiri
100%
My presumption was UFC guys selling the fight as it wasn’t really a headliner worthy of 300.
Yeah, 43 year old Glover was touching Hill up. Hill was stronger and faster.
Then talking about the Johnny Walker KO, when everyone knows Johnny is famously chinny, he has been koed bad even before the UFC.
While Hill does some interesting things, he is very unorthodox. He has his legs squared together all the time during fights. He doesn’t have the movement to beat Alex.
They were definitely trying to sell the fight
Jan and Jiri are classes above Hill, isn't even close
IS the age thats turning Rogan in a braindead?

2)Jamahal and Pereira touch gloves
3)Jamahal takes his fighting stance and continues to move
4)Jamahal throws the FIRST PUNCH.
Why do they keep ignoring this?
No controversy at all… they both knew the fight has started, they were almost holding hands
To be honest, After touching gloves you should be protecting yourself.
Literally no. Hill was throwing at him immediately after...
Pretty sure if jamahal moved to the left herb would’ve moved…
I dont know why yall cant see that it did happen because of Jamahal losing focus and also that it was completely Jamahal's fault at the same time.
because it wasn't as it happened. The fight has to be watch from the beggining because there's alredy edited videos cuting out the touch of gloves. We don´t get why Americans are dcreating this narrative but it stated before the fight when for some reasong they were saying Hill had more power and was a better striker. Doesn 't make any sense.
Another false narrative is jamal was losing focus which is not true he was focused enough to throw a punch but the fact is jamal is a rookie striker compared to real striker that compete at high level boxing, kickboxing or muay Thai
"losing focus" yet they didn't once break eye contact and hill threw the first punch. Don't be delusional
They never wanna give Alex credit , adesanya “early stoppage” Jan “robbery” jiri “early stoppage” Jamal “Herb dean got in the way and caused confusion so Alex took advantage”
Biggest BS of all times. If Hill is saying that he is a bad loser. They touch gloves before the action restarts.
Joe Rogan has already featured Hill on his podcast, he probably has a good relationship with him. The same happened with Izzy, he was clearly rooting for Izzy in his fight against Pereira, they have become friends since he was on his podcast.
Gotta love Max and his unbiased take on the whole Alex VS Jamahal situation
Hill is friends with DC and DC work hand to hand with Joe
Bias bias bias 😂
Max is like alright alright
Hopefully, Joe is just playing the fool for effect, etc
In any case, the verdicts are in:
1) This is made-up content from Joe, and
2) There was nothing improper regarding the conduct of the Pereira-Hill fight.....
WTF! Everything is done within the UFC rules, if there is someone to blame this person is Jamal that touched gloves and relaxed WHILE THE FIGHT was on. He even through a punch (and missed)
I understand JR's point but I'm with Max on this one. In the same way that AP moves forward, a low blow can be used to reset the distance and JH's job is not to know if AP is okay while relaxing in a fight like this. AP was extremely aggressive and this was an incredible fight and JH was there. The fight is over and JH is going to do what, go to court against the result claiming that AP is a cheater or that HD made a mistake? I think AP stayed in the fight 100% and that's why he won. By the way, did anyone see AP's right hand feint?
That feint, followed by a step on the foot and a shovel hook that was set up by the jabs to the body. Xeque mate
Not to mention that Poatan stayed most of the fight on the outside of hill's lead foot... It was bound to happen.
@@bsilva3879that’s what I’m saying he was literally pressuring him before this Joe even said it in the broadcast
@@bsilva3879 I have to come back here and agree, after the second punch to the body JH seemed to lose confidence in exchanging precision blows, starting to retreat and throw blows in the air.

MAX balance the situation gaslight by joe..😂😂😂
Joe explaining it 50 times.
Looked like they both tapped 4 times both the strike.
He slightly fainted with the right and caught him off guard with the hook fair and square
One of the dumbest arguments for getting KO I ever heard. Alex had Hill backing up towards the fence setting him up, if anything you can argue the nut shot delay Alex from knocking Hill even faster. Alex never took his eye off the target the reason he didn’t want to pause the action is because he had already made all the necessary reads he needed to land the shot.
you want to champion, and you relax in front of a killer? of course you will not win
once they touched gloves, what are you waiting for? Alex was ready before and after touching gloves, jamahal relaxed for a second and it is enough to get sleeped! Pereira was 100% focused
What I don't see people commentating on, is that Alex smashed the record with a right hook not a left hook, so avoid the left hook all you want but then he can still knock you into another dimension with his right hook.
Imagine his right hook is even nastier, but he’s more comfortable throwing the left.
@@bruce4751 maybe he dont want to kill someone 😂

Couldn't even stick with it lol "the fight has restarted" no shit lol
Jamal threw a punch first lmao
It's like the predator and the prey, the judge could do nothing to save Jamal, a fighter must be 100% focused on his opponent, this in any street fight, especially in a championship of maximum level, against top athletes, Jamal slept and paid the price for it, "the wages of sin is death" in a fighting ring there is no place for mistakes, he lost the fight before it even started.
This fight exposed how full of shit the UFC media has been acting. The fact that people are making more of a fuss about this moment than Weidman literally blinding a man shows how biased the commentary team has become.
Alex needs to be the first person to unalive somebody in the UFC to receive the props.
He is getting all the props
Every fight he finishes. These dudes comes with more and more doubts. The fans of mma are not buying anymore.

No one says that bcz it’s a during the fight
Or the eye pokes
Shouldn’t have been standing there if he didn’t want to eat the left
Joe is trying to be nice to DC Jamal and all the morons claiming Alex did anything wrong. Herb says fight they touch gloves and both swing. Don't feed Hills delusions
Jamahal has literally said in an interview that he's own up to the loss.
“I’m not making excuses for Jamahal”. So, what are you doing, Joe?
“Protect yourself at all times” this argument has no legs 🦵
Jamal is just trying to justify the loss, stop it he embarrassed himself by selling wolf tickets, the weigh in told me everything I needed to know he rushed back into the cage and was doing all the extras because he was scared as most would be Alex is a problem
For anyone confused by this… watch the fight, slow the speed down. See that they literally both touched gloves twice before Jamal through a left and Alex countered…
As soon as he said kicked in the hip I knew where this was going. 😂
Yeah the guy who was kicked in his most vulnerable part of the body says he is focused and ready to fight all the while who kicked him there needs a break to get his focus back? Makes sense 😂😂😂
These UFC commentators and analysts that are friends of Hill are just pushing this false narrative to cover up that embarrassing loss after Hill talked all that shit of going to show dominance only to get dominantly put out with his eyes rolling back and tongue sticking out like a cartoon 😂😂😂
Don’t forget this guy said Ronda would beat men at her weight. He lost all credibility THEN
Rogan don't know ... about fighting and people that say he lost focus are also wrong, he was focused and he tried to hit pereira but the fact is jamal is a complete beginner when it comes to striking, you can't compare this guy to any elite striker boxing, kickboxing or muay thai
Joe 100% is making excuses and Hill can not take a loss as good as anyone. Hill may be top 3 saltiest fighters ever
The fact that took Joe so long to explain his point just proves that he does not have a point
Easiest way to sound stupid Mr Joe Rogan, by the time the knockout happened, Jamal touched Alex`s glove 4 times and has reset and ready and launched his own left jab , Herb Dean is out of the picture, perfect timing by Alex and that's it with that crazy power Alex has.
It's like the old folks here in Brazil used to say: “There is no worse blind man than the one who doesn’t want to see. There is no worse deaf man than the one who doesn’t want to hear. And there is no worse madman than the one who doesn’t want to understand.”
Bullshit, he got knocked out! There is no controversy!!
I looked it again after the fight. Nothing cotroversial about it. 3 solid seconds passed after Pereira pushed Dean's hand before the knockout punch. Hill was slowly retreating and loading his left, right before pereira deliverd the punch. At that time Dean was at least 2 metres, likely 2.5 metres froh Hill, which would have been enough to pull back/ to the side.
"He's so long"
"Jaime pull up how long Alex is!"
I still remember dc eye poked stipe countless times in second fight and even in third fight he poked stipe. And stipe didn't even mentioned about eyepokes once. That's how a real fighter carry himself.
So if Hill KOs Alex with the right hand he threw right before the KO, so that would have been illegal? Please cut this narrative, they spent like 5 seconds touching gloves before left hook came
why tf are y’all so pressed about this. it’s not like he was making a bunch of excuses for hill. it’s a weird moment that definitely could be addressed. Joe Rogan is a fight expert and has 1000x more experience watching and analyzing fights than all of y’all
If Pereira was an a North American, noone was talking about it!.
Why Are People making excuses for him straight up losing..Pathetic
Jamal could have got on his bike and ran out of there. He chose to touch gloves and regain his distance. Jamal steps way back to setup his left. The upper cut hook just beat Jamals wind up.
Hill just let his guard down which is something you don’t do in the fight game
