That’s a great machine. People keep comparing it to a jeep. It’s not a jeep. I have owned jeeps and if driven in real off road situations it gets expensive real fast . Yes you can buy a jeep and modify it spending lots of cash . Jeeps are not cheap anymore either. This machine is very capable for utility and recreation and if you can afford one awesome , if there was no market for them , manufactures would not build them.
Just as a note a pro R is 4 cylinder and non turbo, unless a turbo R which is a turbo 2 cylinder, but these new 3 cylinders do share a few internal components as the pro R such and main, rod bearings and rods themselves
Great review & camera work! They seem to have though of just about anything with this SxS. Even the braided nylon instead of braided steel in the winch. Well thought out choices like this affect the vehicle in the real world, not just on paper. Great job Polaris!
just got my 1000 polaris xp three days ago actually. I have had a 800 xp before that. so I know what they can do that 1500 still won't make my 3/4 ton obsolete and it costs just as much at times I wonder if a guy shouldn't have gone for the 570 although I wonder if it'll struggle once the tracks go on in the winter time to check cows. I'm thinking this won't be near as popular in the working class as the 1000 put the 1500 transmission in the 1000 and that would be a real good machine.
Thank you for the great review and showing the vehicle going down the road and how it handles. I am the same size as you are, and was very curious how I would fit in this new machine. All of my concerns are now alleviated. I have one on order and the idea of going into tow haul for low range was a good suggestion. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new machine. Over 5000 miles on our current Ranger.
Love the concept but why in the hell would anyone pay 40k for a side by side when you can damn near get a brand new two door wrangler rubicon for that price
Love it, 2 things, sliding rear window, and like older bobobcat SKIDSTEER the windshield would could should slide up under cab like a garage door.. but badass Love it as is!
Great review. How's your radio stations come in? I have a 2023 Polaris ranger XP Northstar I have to hook my radio to my phone all the time to get any stations
Man If i could justify the price tag i'd totally buy one, but $50,000 is a hell of a lot of money for a UTV...I want one! But I don't want that payment lol!
Can am 6x6 defender with a 6 foot bed for less. Or a good used flat bed. Or a jeep. The prices are silly regardless of how rad these machines are. When these things started getting to $25-30k years ago, I knew the entire industry had lost its marbles. Of course they will sell, but they will sell like lambos sell except have the smaller (ie, affordable) models to keep them afloat. One just needs to look at economic trajectory to see how this $40-50k sxs stuff is silly.
I was not very impressed with the engine air filter placement. It already looked dirty. Wonder if they offer a snorkel. Other than that, this machine is just badass amazing. Does it have a built-in roll bar arrangement.
Question for you I know y'all test this ranger 1500 but have yet seen it tested in truly rough country in the Texas hill country where these ranchers put their equipment through hell they work them hard . I know because I work on Polaris rangers and Kawasaki pro mules . These buggy's are pretty and over priced for the man who depend on these rangers they still have the old 500 rangers. And they want something that can work like the old school 500 . I've had to completely rebuild the suspensions clutches rebuilds even some transmission on the 2012 to 2020 that can't handle the terrain .y'all need to start thinking about the people who don't care about pretty and the pretty prettys or comfortable they care about down time and workhorses . Build something like that and these ranchers
So compared to the ranger 1000 xp how is the suspension on trails, is it a lot more plush? Is it responsive and trail friendly? I ride a lot of trails at camp and I want a dual purpose rig. I know it’s not a Razor but I trail ride in my xp 1000 a lot and I wish it was more plush. I’m just wondering if the xd 1500 is worth the upgrade
The Ranger 1000xp rides great, the 1500 rides even better. The 1500’s stiffer chassis has less flex over bumps and the larger shocks do a better job of reducing impacts.
I make $150,000 a year with a brand new grand Cherokee payment and a2023 Polaris Xp 1000 plus house payment and everything else, I have over $2,000 a month put in my savings account, plus 401 k contributions and union dues. You need a better budget plan my friend
I have to disagree with it being the first heavy duty UTV the mule pro has been beating them out as far as a heavy duty UTV this is their response to the mule pro now it definitely has a lot more creature comforts etc. But the mule pros are almost impossible to kill I work on all makes and models of UTV we will see how the 1500 plays out Polaris is good just not the first
Yuck. Sorry, The Mule is the worst. No one needed to respond to anything Kawasaki does or doesn’t do. Enjoy replacing wheel bearings on an inferior suspension and everything else. I’d never go down that road again. Kawasaki has always felt at least a couple generations behind
Every "review" I've seen on this machine, shows it going down a road a Smart Car could drive down. When is somebody going to do a real review of this machine? Is Polaris afraid it's going to fly apart if they actually take it off road? For $45,000 it should be able to climb trees and rock cliffs.

Feels like this is a mini-pickup truck. Has more features than most cars! Great review… totally cool!!
Just as a note a pro R is 4 cylinder and non turbo, unless a turbo R which is a turbo 2 cylinder, but these new 3 cylinders do share a few internal components as the pro R such and main, rod bearings and rods themselves
Yall do the best reviews. They all seem sincere and truthful, real world. I bought a 2022 F-250 XLT premium due to yalls videos LOL.
Wow! Thank you for the feedback, and congrats on the F250, great choice!
I have a 2017 Northstar ranger with heat and air conditioning 1000 cc the rig runs great
Great review & camera work! They seem to have though of just about anything with this SxS. Even the braided nylon instead of braided steel in the winch. Well thought out choices like this affect the vehicle in the real world, not just on paper. Great job Polaris!
Thanks for watching! And absolutely, they have their bases covered on this one.

Just wish I had one of these when I was on six acres. It would have been so helpful to pick up tree branches. Love the countryside.

You are most welcome! Thanks for watching, and rest assured, the XD has plenty of room for you.
Love the concept but why in the hell would anyone pay 40k for a side by side when you can damn near get a brand new two door wrangler rubicon for that price
Literally could build a nice TJ Jeep for 10k and be able to drive it on the road
That’s a slick rig pretty cool…
Love it, 2 things, sliding rear window, and like older bobobcat SKIDSTEER the windshield would could should slide up under cab like a garage door.. but badass Love it as is!
how loud or quiet is the engine and exhaust from the outside?
Just wait til that transmission shits out
This steel belt transmission has been used in Nissan cars for years and easily gets 100,000 miles. Look into it. Its been proven
Great review. How's your radio stations come in? I have a 2023 Polaris ranger XP Northstar I have to hook my radio to my phone all the time to get any stations
Great question. I also connected my phone via Bluetooth because there were no radio signals (even in trucks and SUVs) on the ranch we were at.
Does the radio come with sirus offered to purchase or just use your phone??
Great information! TY
Thanks for watching!
Best video on this machine to date !
Glad you think so! And thanks for watching!
If it has single cab long box and long wheelbase I would buy one now.
12:07 You're trying your best to bottom it out, huh. 😂
Man If i could justify the price tag i'd totally buy one, but $50,000 is a hell of a lot of money for a UTV...I want one! But I don't want that payment lol!
For the price over a stock ranger at 14,700 this is def not worth the price tag. Not many smart people going to drop 30-40k on a ranger.
Yea I’m going ahead and buying a truck at this price point lmao. I just don’t see the market for this.
Agreed. These damn things are getting expensive
This over a truck in Alaska
You'd be surprised how many people spend 40k on a side by side
Screw it im in. I’ll let you guys know how it is.
Do you know how to get out of the dark mode on the screen
Great review! Will you be doing another one for this machine? How is the fuel mileage?
We certainly hope so! Hard to comment on MPG, but I can say that we drove about 65 miles on dirt at mixed speeds and used a 1/4 tank.
I had a ranger 900 xp it was the biggest pile of junk i will never own another polaris again after dealing with that 900
How is the AC in it? Cold as a truck?
Yes it was in our testing. Atleast in the single cab variation.

Yes it has a built in roll bar.
@@TexasTruckChannel Thank you for the information. It is appreciated!
@@MartinStockel-k6f that was the cabin air filter that was shown, not engine air filter
The pro r motor is actuall a 4 cyl 2.0
Yes, this is based off of that motor, minus one cylinder. Same architecture, sorry I didn’t clarify that.
Were is the oil filter ?
at the front of the engine against the cab
@@SB-dw6hz That's where the filter is on an XP 1000. On the 1500 it's on the passenger side.
You sound like a salesman how much commission do you get?

So you are wrong about the motor comparison to the pro r. The pro r has a naturally aspirated 2.0 four cylinder. Not a 3 cylinder.
Correct, I was referring to the engine architecture being shared, minus 1 cylinder.

Thanks for the reply, I’m seriously considering getting one for the fact that I can ride in all conditions and seasons.
Yyyyeah but rumors about a sport 4-cylinder KRX when spending $30K+ I'll wait.
Just another toy for the rich hobby ranchers
Waste the cv boot covers should come with a real set on all machines
What is the top speed?
65 in our testing.
They should have beefed up the bed size.
Its 50% bigger than the xp1000
Thanks it nice to know@@findingxeno3285
I can buy a nice Jeep for less than that
Nice review, but way to much money!!
I'd sure love to have one but no way I can afford it only making $150k per year combined household income and only have 1 vehicle payment to make.

We had this machine flying on dirt, and over logs, creeks. You name it. Sorry it didn’t all make it on film.
