I still love and regularly play my '20 blue Toronado. Squier has thoroughly impressed me over the past few years.

I love the Toronado, great demo! I have the 2021 54 jazz bass in black with a gold anodized guard. It is basically a 1960/61 stack knob jazz bass with a 1954 p bass pick guard and control plate. It plays great.

I love that they reissued the paranormal series. I was going to get the offset tele last year but didn't. I'm happy, because it led me to my Vintage 25th anniversary. Really want one though. But I Just got a contemporary jaguar HH with the atomic Humbuckers, and I don't need another Tele. So not sure which to get. Not a fan of the mega gloss neck. Dunno... I love you dude!

Great looking guitar looks like a cross between a strat and a tele greetings from Bonnie Scotland

Thank you and it is awesome. It was supposed to be Fender's answer to the SG but bombed initially in the late 90s/ early 2000s, got a huge cult following, then were re-released as the paranormal series! Thanks for watching!

I always have wanted a tornado. but i think it might have been a custom shop they called tornado deluxe that was a tone pro's hard tail & a bound neck. And as for that, I always wanted that black one you have !! :)
Nice job on the demo !! :)

thanks Terry. Yeah, the deluxe series were the bound ones. Squiers quality is so good now that i feel like these are damn near on par with the initial Fender version!

I'm thinking of buying one of these by the end of the year. I'm between this and the classic vibe starcaster.

Hey, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with with either model. Check out my buddy Terry 3GS channel. He just got a Starcaster recently and has a really good demo of it

After getting into playing in the past month I've bought Blue/Black Squire Affinity Strat (3 singles so naturally I want Buckers), a Seafoam Green Mustang (Dual Buckers but kinda feels kiddish and no room for the A chord) , and now I'm considering a Sunburst Squire Toronado (Hopefully I'll get it right this time so the wife doesn't kill me ☠. Lol)

Awesome. Yeah, you definitely cant go wrong with any of the Toronados. If you do get one, look into Empire Music in Pittsburgh. they do setups on everything that goes out the door and Joe (the owner) has always treated me great. They had a ton in stock last i checked. Thanks for watching. hows your guitar journey going so far?

As far as I can see it's relevant if you want a Les Paul that doesn't look like a Les Paul and don't already have a Les Paul or a Yamaha SG. Am I wrong? The Toronado is an awesome looking guitar but superfluous to many player's requirements.
If I was going to buy one I'd put some gold foils on it or some wide range humbuckers, as I don't have those in my quiver right now.
It certainly has some control options (pickup blending using seperate volume and tone controls) the Jag Contemporary Squiers don't have.
Am I wrong? Am willing to be convinced otherwise.

Looked at one of these yesterday and now have serious guitar acquisition syndrome (GAS) for one, just need to work out what has to go to help make room for it and to help fund it too, its looking like either an Epi LP or an Epi Dot as Ive never really bonded with guitars with Gibson style tunamatic bridges so a Toronado will give me the H'buckers in a Fender style guitar.

Great... another guitar demo where they mic the ROOM. Sounds just like any other guitar with all the sound bouncing off the walls.

Yeah unfortunately I work with the equipment I have available. But I have upgraded mics considerably since this video so should be better going forward. Thanks for watching.

Is it good for metal and heavy rock

    • @BasementGuitarSuperstar
      @BasementGuitarSuperstar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hard rock, yes! Metal? Not sure. The scale length is 24 3/4 so drop tunings arent as easy
