Why would they have one of the commentators calling a competition for a sport he knows nothing about? If you had to take a sip of beer every time he says, "exactly" or "makes sense" you would be passed out before the comp was over.
I dont know why but the other commentator sounds annoying, cutting Lino all the time and copying several hit lines from him....would be much more interesting if Lino would have made the comments with Tiago
I agree I have mad respect for him because he is an og of freestyle scooter riding but him being a commentator for a rollerblading event makes absolutely zero sense.
I like that they are like even Brian Aragon at age 37/38 would be competitive but struggling to keep up. No slight on Aragon. He is top-5 to EVER put blades on.
Ricardo, without you I would have turn off the sound after the first 3 minutes and just enjoy the fantastic show!! It is abit pity because a commentator needs to know a lot about the competition and its participants to make it more interesting to hear huhu
You mentioned that Joe Atkinson was skating Aluminum sole plates, but I wasn’t able to find out much on any aluminum sole plates just frames, and aluminum core wheels. Could you elaborate more on an aluminum sole plate, if there’s some on the market and maybe some advantages it may have over plastic material?
This would have been so much better with Ricardo doing it solo. Why is it so difficult for allegedly high-level inline competitions to get someone competent to do commentary? Anything gained by having a second person in the booth was far outweighed by the negatives this other announcer brought to the table -- the guy was actively diminishing the experience.
Lino’s commentating was great - It is almost unwatchable though trying to ignore the ridiculous comments from the other guy - He has absolutely no idea what he is talking about! It is embarrassing! The skating is fantastic though!
Ricardo is always so chilled. But let's be honest...Rollerblading is kinda dead. Same event but with Skateboards, BMX or even those Scooters would be a different experience. Viva Barça. Cheers from Germany
The co-host is TERRIBLE. He knows nothing about inline, and he's really dragging Ricardo down. It's Sad when I feel I could do someone else's job better, that I've never done.
