- I recently rode with fellow motovlogger @TrekkieMoto to see a few Lehigh Valley Covered Bridges around the Trexler Nature Preserve. From there, we headed north to Jim Thorpe for lunch at Roadies at Penns Peak.
The ride, scenery, and food were all excellent, and I had a great time!

Very cool! Glad you got to go out and ride with Trekkie!
Nice vid my friend!! I have an infatuation with covered bridges!! I really need to do a good tour of them one of these days!!
Haven't seen those bridges, but my PA riding tends to be mostly on the other side of the Susquehanna, I've started exploring more roads on the east side of the river last couple trips. A few years ago, since I was heading up through Carlisle, I searched "covered bridges near Carlisle" and was surprised how many popped up; included 5 of them in a line, all over the same stream, only a mile or so apart on different side roads. Several of the best I've seen are the three in Sullivan County all built by the same guy, Sadler Rogers: Sonestown, Forksville and Hillsgrove. Another that popped up on that search I did was the Pomeroy-Academia Bridge, PA's longest (it's one of the ones you can't drive through though). I've visited a couple dozen or so, met a guy a while back who'd been to all of them.
Looked like a fun ride Walt. Look how much fun you were having rev bombing the bridges. You need to put some exhaust on that MT-09 too!!!
So great views from up there…and no I’m not just talking about the view of the cheeseburger 😂😂
If someone made an aftermarket exhaust that exitied under the bike like the stock exhaust, I would consider it. I just like the clean look of not having the pipe coming up the side of the bike.
I wanted to get footage riding up to the resturaunt to show the climb but my camera was giving me trouble. The battery died and I didn't hear it shut off.
Good video, you hit up a lot of stuff by the game preserve. You hit up #4-6 of the lehigh valley tour. There are 7 total but 5 are drivable #1 and 7 have be decommissioned for vehicle traffic.
I actually looked up the tour route just before I posted this video. We could have probably snuck in two more if we wanted to. Around Trexler is a nice ride - I enjoyed it.
