I've worked out on traditional heavy bags th-cam.com/users/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
Banter Bulldogge I actually do teach my fighters to turn the foot, what I’ve found out is that everyone’s body works a bit different. Cris throws more power with the hook when his foot is planted. I say listen to your body, if you feel stronger one certain way, then stick to it. Thanks for tuning in!

I love these vids and so happy that this is very close to what I worked out on my own. I do 7 rounds with 30 seconds rest 1. Concentrate on form 2. High volume speed flatout 3. Heavy head hooks left-right no stop as hard and fast as possible 4. Concentrate on form with 4 punch min 5. Heavy hooks to the body and close bag work ..head on bag ..spinning off the bag 6. Combos but speed and power.. really gassed at this stage 7. Light but rhythmic medium fast 1-2's to finish ..arms burning If you do it right I gaurntee a good workout and improved form

All good bag drills. Minimum 4 punch, 6, 8, 10 etc. 4 punch with a pivot 4 punches again. Squat 2 punch, 4, 6, 8. With pivot as well. For 12 rounds, then 12 rounds of mitt work. Some crunches and mitt work at the same time. And then some two line bag work 2, 4 punches, pivots, head movement. Then the speed bag at the end of the day. I'm into boxing ! Unfortunately I'm not in a club at the moment but there is a bag at my gym. So I definitely need drills to do while I'm there to keep up my practice
Yeah, how long do you have to box for to be conditioned to do that? I always tried the nonstop - jab straight combo, and my arms always tire out within 10 seconds...
The comments... Christian is awesome. Evertime someone has something negative to say, but switch roles? Each fighter has a strength, we can't all be perfect and do everything 100% everytime. Love this video, good job dad and son
excellent .. subtle but very effective addition to my 30 minute bag work out i got from Nate Bowers Fitness... I've got a two hour nap then a 45 minute bag work session ..i will be applying these drills to the session .. thank you ! subbed ! More power to you and your family!

Like it - solid drill exercises there. Also good in jab-only rounds to mix them up: fast, distancing, power, planted/stopping, etc. Get the brain going.
Hey young gun, good effort and remember your dad is always right BUT please: 1. Expect to get hit back! 2. So move your head and footwork defensively before and after you punch, slip, switch, bob and weave, step in and out ect... 3. Your speed is very slow (sorry), you should aim for a split second gap between each punch when throwing combinations and don't load-up, no-one is going to simply stand there and let you punch them. 4. So learn how to punch as many times as possible within a single release of breath, stay loose/relaxed until point of impact. 5. Boxing is NOT about looking tough or about having a bodybuilder's physique, there is no wannabe self-image inside the ring as it is a brutally HONEST environment with only you and him (or her!), and it WILL tell you the TRUTH without mercy! 6. Power comes from good repetitively trained correct technique and NOT muscle/weight lifting. 7. Spar EVERY session with better opponents than yourself and get hurt, only a little - this is always the best daddy. 8. Respect and love your dad as he is trying his very best but be your own man too and you will make him (and yourself) PROUD. 9. You young guns have the luxury of video these days, so pause the dam video at points of when throwing a punch to check how open you are to a good smack in the mouth! 10. Keep up the good work and all the best to you both.
@@dungeonboxingclub nice video bro...I was going to mention many of the same observations that the above poster did ... use ur Footwork when on the bag ,change ur angles as you attack and after you finish after each combo so that ur not just THERE where you started..use head movement, sadly absent in the video..defense is dropping and the head is open, often. stay just on the outside as opposed to being In Front of the bag in range all the time, that way you work ur in and out, and get used to closing the gap ,applying pressure and then angling just out of harms range...And yes , speed could be better though his power is nice, the delivery is slow and telegraphed... Ive been boxing for 41 yrs, im 59 at present..there are Always areas to improve and refine, here in the vid, and in my own training, even after all these years, boxing is an art and a science..there is never a point at which you have arrived, its always a work in progress...Thats the fun and the beauty of it!...best of luck, ur son looks very promising and has talent and power and most of all, a father who cares abt his progress and can teach him..
How tall is Christian and what type of gloves would you recommend for someone that's 5'10 and 162lbs? Im currently using 12oz gloves for bag work, but I've also got a pair of 16oz
Kain I would definitely use the 16oz, during training there is no need to put your hands at risk for injury using the smaller gloves. Thanks for stopping by!
Drill 2 : I think the stance should be a lil' bit more squared, landing so much shots in this position is hurtful for the shoulders Last drill : I prefer to do some defensive moves, small footwork between the intense onslaught, so I can have some rest too
