I got in to model planes and RC back in the 70's. I went in to the Air Force and in 88 I had the pleasure of having 26 full sized real A-10's. I was a production supervisor and was responsible for all maintenance. I enjoyed seeing your A-10 showing its stuff. I watched a few of your videos but felt I had to leave a comment on this one. Oh, that big bomb was an external tank.

Love this kit. Got one about 2 years ago. I too found full flaps and aiming short on our R/C field usually sets it down perfectly just before the pilot box. Aside from some PNP foam trainers I've flown this is the most stable scale kit I've ever flown. I'm in the process of swapping out my radio equipment to a Spektrum iX12 for the Telemetry features along with Spektrum Avian SMART ESC's. Also I've been refinishing some of the surfaces since it got banged around and dented. Spray on Filler Primer works great on EPO Foam. I may in the future also add Spektrum's FPV to it and maybe pick up the alternate 90mm EDF motor nacelle.
Since I am planning to purchase one of those birds, I was watching a ton of them build- and flight videos about it. Being also a hobby movie maker, I would like to salute you not only for a nice build documentation or a stunning flight demonstration, but even more so for the way you put this video together. Great camera-work and editing. Very informative and fun to watch. Of all the Freewing A10 videos out on the tube, yours is certainly among the best. Thanks a bunch for this video. Can't wait to get mine. :-)

When I flew mine for the first time it reminded me of a really fast predictable trainer. One of the best jets I have ever flown. An absolute beast of an edf. Everyone should have one.
One of those rare times where the pilot has actually done a stall test on a maiden flight, rather than scream around on full throttle then only slow when it came to landing. Well done.

Thumbs up. I just picked up freewings 64mm version. If I was going to add a bigger version, I would stay with freewing. My FMS planes tend to develop small to moderate issues after a handfull of flights.
I’m thinking of getting this model but concerned about the skill needed to fly. I currently fly sports planes such as the eflite commander and the eflite f27. The f27 is a 110mph+ plane so speed isn’t an issue. I do own a freewing 64mm f-105 and a freewing 64mm 4s f18. Both I have had great success with. So cause your a jet guy would you say from what I just told you that this is a good option? Thanks and love your videos!
Yes, i think you should be able to fly this plane without much problem. It is bigger and heavier than what you currently fly, so it will "feel" different in the air. But in some ways it should be easier to fly.
I think if you were a "Fighter Pilot" you would be more about "faster than the speed of sound". Love the original and would call it more rugged than ugly. Loved the video, keep up the good work :)

Great video, I enjoyed your soothing voice and your flying skills, yes I would say you know how to fly. Have you had any issues with the landing gear? Some say the upgraded gear is necessary.
Thanks! I've had no problems with the landing gear, but I mainly fly from a paved runway. I suspect people with grass strips may be the ones with issues.

Hard to say, you shoud be comfortable flying moderately fast low wing planes. This is not for beginners.
The on board camera looks great too. Like it could be the real thing.

I used to watch real A10s getting airtime over Pope AFB. The pilots would engage in similar antics. Nice plane, enjoy.
