Thank you Adam and Heidi for taking the time to produce this video and to air it on your TH-cam channel. Just like Adam said, this was my first attempt to airbrush an EPO foam EDF and my first attempt at using an airbrush gun. It took 3 days to complete after prepping the A-10 with an alcohol wipe down, tape off needed sections and 4 to 5 coats of paint to get the finished paint to my liking and then spray two coats of clear coat on it. On a personal note; I am a career airline pilot with over 30 years with the airlines currently flying the Boeing 737 so, I know just a little bit about aerodynamics and pilot skills. After taking 16 plus years off from RC flying, I’m back into it for my 3rd and last time and Adam has been instrumental in providing valuable techniques and suggestions to regaining my RC skill set once again. It is very impressive to watch Adam fly ANY aircraft and to see his skill and knowledge to set up and fly these RC aircraft in a scale manner. It was no exception to watching Adam take my A-10 and put it through his evaluation and paces and watch how easy he makes all regimes of flight. Thank you again Adam and Heidi for another well done video for the Worlds RC community.
Ken thank you very much for allowing us to film it and all your support of the channel! Thanks very much for the kind words buddy, it is an honor to help you and pass this great hobby on my friend! Glad you are back in to stay!
Looks like the a10 is ready for some arctic ops with the blue camo. Would fit in well here with winter still having her cold sharp claws dug in deep in the northeast. Every week I say it won't be long now, and then it snows... Can't wait to get out and fly!!
Awesome flying. I just ordered me one of these. Still waiting on it to arrive. Does the set up and rates from the book work well with it? What elevator/flap mixing did you find worked best...which I know can change with cg. I'm stoked to fly it but also scared haha.
Freewing has some great models and hands down this is a top 5 or even a top 3 for me. I use Roaring top 6250s stacked in the main bay on top of each other. Gives a perfect CG. Carrier field dictated a few mods for the shorter runway but this big baby slows down and flies so well it handles the short landings and take offs easily. Ive done endurance flights as long as 9 minutes with mine. Love the paint scheme on this.Great job Adam!
Thanks David! I thought Ken did an great job on the paint. This model really impressed me. Best flying scale jet I've flown so far. Great flight times too.
An awesome plane with an awesome paint job - Freewing really should consider offing that kind of colour scheme - so, so much better the the "boring" one they do offer it in. Well done to Ken. Good accurate flying as we expect from you Adam.
Thank you Mark! Great flying plane. Not really a gig so to speak as we would never charge for helping anyone with a maiden and set up. We get in to all aspects of the set up to really try and get them dialed in for a specific pilot. There is a lot more that trimming involved to get them there usually...it can also involve a little instruction for a type as well. I will say though sometimes it is a simple as trim it, and hand it over, but that is rare. The whole process is fascinating to me, and a lot of rewarding fun. It is awesome now that we have a channel when fellas like Ken are gracious enough to let us film the process.
Crazy Eddy likes the paint scheme, great flying Test Pilot Adam. Have buddy we call Test Pilot Dave, because like you he can get a plane flying great. Jeff in LA USA
Dang that A-10 looks good and sounds good too..I have really had my eye on the A-10 because of its more like an off road STOL type bird rather than a pavement strip only jet . Glad to see someone who can fly and land.
This is the first jet I purchased...I have yet to fly. My father came across a eflite 80mm f16 for $50. So I been learning on it, trying to get used to how the plane changes with the gear down, and the nose high landings. Can't wait to fly the a10!
Hey Robert! Thank you for the kind words my friend. I'll ask Ken what the CG is for sure when he gets time to look at it. I think he is in transitional training (Airlines). I'll post it on this comment. I got the plane where I thought it would be best for Ken, and we went from there making small adjustments to really nail it for his tastes. I was never really in the mode to specifically set it up as if it were mine. I honestly don't know how much a set up for me would differ, but it would differ some for sure. I do like the balance where it is. I never wrote any of it down as we were focused on what Ken thought. I'll post Kens final set up when he can get it to me. Hope that is helpful!
Well done Adam! Entertaining as always, and Ken did a superb job on the paint scheme. I mean, who doesn't like the old Warthog...besides a commie tanker 😉🤣! As usual, you did a great job piloting that model through your beautiful Georgia skies, and Heidi crushed it on the camera work! Happy landings brother 🤠👍😎!
Thanks brother John! Really an amazing flying jet. Yeah those tankers hate em'...lol. I want one...got no room for one! Heidi is awesome bro...couldn't do it without her! Have a great week man!
The only thing missing is a Train Horn converted to a highly detailed recording of an actual A 10 Burt. You know BBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! Lol
Perhaps you take a little longer to decide if a plane is any good or not because you're not getting paid to test it and say how great it is. ;) Great flying as always.
Oh no pilot shaming lol the only thing I proclaim is Jesus is Lord that said I do know with a few minutes weather it's junk or a eagle and no I don't have a quarter of your stick and rudder skills beautiful repaint and nice camera work center frame start to end ✌️
I agree on Jesus! No pilot shaming! lol. Nah man I get ya...I can tell if a plane is really good in a few minutes, but not how good it can get til I'm done with it. I've also flown some that were junk at first, but after a day or two of set up and testing they turned out to be sweet. The guys I'm talking about literately say "this is awesome" 2 seconds after take off. Lol! Might be...might not...

I really admire those pilots that take the time and effort to repaint and personalize their aircraft. Beautiful job Ken.
Thank you for the video Adam.
Ken did do a great job! Thank you for watching Michael!
Who doesn't love the A-10... Thanks for sharing..
Ironically enough I didn't care for them the first time I saw one...then I saw one fire the gun, Love em' now! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching Jake! Man I feel for you...I know you want to fly, and I can't wait to hear about your 150's!
Holy humungous warthogs, Batman! What a *beast* of an A-10! Lovely scale flying, as we come to expect from your good self, Adam. 🇺🇸
Aww Gina...thank you mam' . I am humbled by your compliment. Easy plane to fly well to be honest. It is a big un!

Thanks Dave...yes Ken did a great job. That plane flies SOOOO good. Big, smooth...just an awesome scale edf.
🎯Awesome , thank you! ☠Semper Fi, I really love that hog, a beautiful bird!
It's a really nice model!
Great side gig, Maidening and flight trimming new models! TWIN 6S, wow! The paint job does indeed look nice. Nice Maiden flight, Sir.

@@ModelAV8RChannel I was using the term "Gig" loosely, not all gigs are paid, I should know, I'm a starving musician, LOL.
@@rcaviationcrawling7351 wondered about that...saw the Fender brochure in your car...
@@ModelAV8RChannel Yes! I play a Fender Stratocaster '57 style, and I have a vintage 1969 Fender Bassman Amp and speaker cabinet !
@@rcaviationcrawling7351 Awesome Mark!

Thanks very much! Flew great and Ken put an awesome paint job on it!

Thanks for the kind words Aaron! It is a great jet. Big. Smooth. BTW I got an e mail from you...only says "fer" ??
great smooth flying
Thank you very much! It is a great flyer...so smooth and stable.
Nicely done my friend 😎
Thanks Team Jackson!
Amazing A10 that Adam, flies like it's on rails!! Another great video from you and Heidi 😀👍
Thank you brother Ian! It is an awesome flying jet for sure! Bout time for you to get out that X fly of yours...
Great flying as usual Adam, agreed she looks like a great plane to have in the hangar. 👍🏻
Thanks Chris! You're pretty creative with space...bet you could make one fit!
@@ModelAV8RChannel Have run out of space, even have another plane coming as well.
Love the paint on this a-10. Great review guys 👏👍
Ken did well on the paint for sure! Great flying big jet. Thank you Jude!
Awesome plane , doing some research for next purchase, digging up old vids
Gotcha. It is a nice one. Big and it flies like it.

Yes sir! Sounds like a tank just got smoked... BBBBUUUURRRRRTTTTT!!! Lol, Thank you for watching!
Would love to know your setup
Sorry man, the set up that one has changed a lot since Ken has been flying it. Can't remember what we had dialed in here.
What batteries were you using? Does it look like seven minutes flight time.
Two HRB 6s 6000's. Timer is set to 4 1/2 minutes.
