According to a survey, swedes are the most positive to helping Ukraine continue fighting. Except for the minority of people who can be seen as the equivalent of the MAGA crowd in the US, Sweden stands as one for Ukraine against the Russians.
So basically Sweden, my mother's country, hates Russia and is ready to do anything it can to help Ukraine. Good news! Canada is glad to have you as an ally! I kept reading about Ukraine running out of weapons and ammo. Sweden to the rescue. As a half Swede, I'm glad Sweden is stepping up like this. As the narrator said, Sweden is going to make other countries look bad if those countries contribute much less than Sweden. So this could lead to many counties contributing more because they don't want the newest member of NATO to make them look bad. If this causes other countries to contribute more then this could all end up being huge for Ukraine and could help to ensure Russia's defeat.
Or more countries from both sides will get involved thus creating more chaos and a possible third world war. Can you imagine if China got involved and the USA on the ground in Europe? Ukrainian IFV driver once told that the problem with Swedish CV90 is that Russians are so afraid of it, that they have placed reward on CV90’s, and immediately when seeing one, they send couple T-90 tanks and ATGM troops trying to destroy it 😄 Here in Finland we have always appreciated the Swedish incredibly advanced high-tech weaponry, we have bought many of those systems, from torpedos and other naval assets to CV90’s, NLAWS, anti-air systems like Robotsystem 70 in our ASRAD-R, etc. The level of technological sophistication and performance of the weapons of our Nordic brothers is truly exemplary.
In the year 1240 Swedes also arrived to Ladoga Lake to beat a shit our of Russians and they had incredibly advanced weapons and al other war "bells and whistles". Russians had spears, axes and swords. No fancy body armor. How did it end? Eh, Swedes? Remember? All Swedish crusaders with their horses and fancy war trinkets ended up on Ladoga Lake bottom... Technology does not win wars, people do. Spirited people.
@@Gen4505 Pretty sure an army from 1240 against an army with modern technology would not have great chances of winning, no matter how spirited they may be. They would be very much spirited away by programmable 30-40mm airburst ammunition and many other technological delights of modern times.
Not only that because I bet a lot of the neighbouring countries are going to be pumping a lot more money into their military programmes after the Wars finished (for better or worse).

According to history, Russia was created by a Viking from Sweden named Rurik. Sweden is very sorry about it. It won't happen again. I'd also like to see St Petersburg returned to Sweden or Finland, as the case may be.
To be more precise for anyone curious: the Swedish vikings that journeyed east over the baltic formed the Kievan Rus' together with the baltic tribes that existed in the regions that we today know as territories of Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and parts of Russia, Poland and Ukraine who still hold the name "Kiev" as their capital city and obviously Russia and Belarus still have the "Rus" part in the name of their nations. From what we know the first ruler of the Kievan Rus' was a Swedish prince by the name of Rurik. Swedish vikings definitely played a part, but there was already existing groups in the regions as well. Little known fact, Swedish vikings were referred to the name "Varangians" in the region and continued to travel south where they eventually became the "Varangian Guard" in the Byzantine Empire and for 4 centuries up until the fall of the Empire to the Ottomans the royal guard of the Emperors was largely made up of Swedish / Norse vikings.
They did a few bad things here in the u.k. as well, but I forgive them, I am blonde and maybe my great, great, great, greatgreat.great, great grandad was one of them ?
@Gen4505 Well, good for you! It's always nice to see happy people! Now laugh at this: The Rus',[a] also known as Russes,[2][3] were a people in early medieval Eastern Europe.[4] The scholarly consensus holds that they were originally Norsemen, mainly originating from present-day Sweden, who settled and ruled along the river-routes between the Baltic and the Black Seas from around the 8th to 11th centuries AD. In the 9th century, they formed the state of Kievan Rusʹ, where the ruling Norsemen along with local Finnic tribes gradually assimilated into the East Slavic population, with Old East Slavic becoming the common spoken language. Old Norse remained familiar to the elite until their complete assimilation by the second half of the 11th century,[5] and in rural areas, vestiges of Norse culture persisted as late as the 14th and early 15th centuries, particularly in the north.[5]

"All of Europe" ... if only that were true. Slovakia, Bulgaria and Hungary have a very pro-russian public and/or serious dependencies, with their government representation reflecting that to some serious extent. Also Belarus is part of europe as well and they are clearly on russias side. And then there is the shift to dictatorship-loving far right parties in multiple other european nations, with a growing number of people more then willing to give away Ukraine to russia as long as it saves them some money and helps them to lower migration. The sad reality is that with every billion aid given the support in europe is fading, cause a massive number of europeans are simply selfish, short-sighted and greedy. Wish you were right about europe, but as usual there is far less unity on any such issue and the longer this conflict goes on the higher the chances that a large portion of europe will turn against Ukraine ... forcing it into some rotten "peace" and huge losses in territory.
And how Sweden or Germany is going to replace that amount of equipment they have given away. Answer is that they wont be able to. western european countries do not posses military industry to replace pretty much anything. What ever industry made these weapons and systems was run down since 1990. European nations also dont have any military power left when it comes to available manpower pool. Young people were never born and what is left is few older men in their 40s who barely can fight. What ever younger generation there is they are largely in bad shape or islamists who would establish caliphate in seconds when given uniform and weapons.
@@janrudnicki6111 thats just nonsense, whole point of western equipment/technology is to balance out a numerical advantage of enemy forces ... the more Ukraine is getting the easier it will become to handle russia with the smaller numbers they can send into war. Just replacing the tools of those already fighting changes the balance of power drasticly, for example ditching the soviet 122mm for a modern 155mm means gaining artillery power, range and precision without increasing the number of soldiers. The loss ratios already reflect that change as they have turned more into Ukraines favor, at the beginning of the war it was more closely to the expected 1:3 in favor of the defender, now we are closer to the 1:6 and that trend is likely to go on the more western kit arrives. Also multiple very small nations have already proven that they can keep a war going for a decade even against superior forces, Ukraine hasnt even began to get into a critical shortage of men ... it still is in a shortage of material with men waiting.

According to a survey, swedes are the most positive to helping Ukraine continue fighting.
Except for the minority of people who can be seen as the equivalent of the MAGA crowd in the US, Sweden stands as one for Ukraine against the Russians.
Proud to have Sweden as an ally.
Complete devastation and chaos. I don’t know what the right answer is but I think countries should be careful jumping on the bandwagon. Just saying.
I wouldn't say we hate Russia. We want the russian people to be delivered from evil as well. The evil that that now rules the country...

Oh, you are a dreamer, Robert. And very bad history scholar... "Russia was created by a Viking Rurik..." I could not stop laughing.
@Gen4505 Well, good for you! It's always nice to see happy people! Now laugh at this:
The Rus',[a] also known as Russes,[2][3] were a people in early medieval Eastern Europe.[4] The scholarly consensus holds that they were originally Norsemen, mainly originating from present-day Sweden, who settled and ruled along the river-routes between the Baltic and the Black Seas from around the 8th to 11th centuries AD.

All of Europe has had enough of Putin and Russia. Thank you Sweden. 🧡 from Germany
Ukraine does not have a recruit, even when the equipment from NATO countries arrives there will be no one to service it
"All of Europe" ... if only that were true.
@@janrudnicki6111 🤡
Great respects from Finland! 🇸🇪🤝🇫🇮
