These were the days we were Kings, we crammed 8 people in 1 cheap hotel room and ate way to much Mc Donalds because it was cheap, after driving all day to make it to a tourney...and if you made it to sunday it was a bonus because we were fortunate enough to go play a sport we love with people we call family.
We used 2 Toyota Previa minivans to haul the team around the country playing tournaments back in 05-08. We'd survive on Beenie Weenie and bologna sandwiches and cram everyone into one hotel room. Those were the days man
Thanks dudes for the stories, got into it when I was maybe 12 in 2000-01/2002-03 ish never did big circuits, but a true love of mine.
Played in a series called ICC (Indiana Captain's Council) just Novice and it was either that or Amateur.
The thing about the round Robin way of doing tournaments back then that I digged was that each Novice team had to play a few Amateur teams and vice-versa with Amateur teams getting to hopefully take a dump on the lower lvl Novice teams.
I loved that cause it didn't always work out that way and if you beat one of those Rank 5 and up Amateur teams (or just beat one in general) being Novice and not Top 5 damn it felt good and shit got heated quick...so many dead man walks or at least that's when an Amatuer team did it to us
this game was way too fun. I could only afford to play walk-ons and at some practices for a few years, but I loved playing till around 06'.

10-15 years later and its still the best of the best. You know... it would be awesome if you put together a 2023 release using all un-seen original footage you have left over that never made the original cuts. There's a huge community that would pay for it. Be it PPV or crowdfunded up front.

@@MikeJones. they still rip just like a lot of the old markers. Heavier , not as good on air but dam they ball. Old school guns along with new still were its at. Specially prices on the oldies.
@@militarydocumentariesinc.7007 still got my classic Timmy, alias with infamous board, I honestly really miss my sft shocker, Superman'd, all blue and red. Had a pm6 and a 06 ego, the stock reg on the sft need to be rebuilt the second you get it.
I took like a 10 year break from the sport and recently got back into it and I’m having more fun than ever. And I encourage you guys to get back into it as well.

Omg... me and my brother watched this video on repeat while we where into paintballing back in the day. This movie was the best. Nostalgia hitting hard.
I played paintball weekly through HS and some of college. Probably 7 years straight almost. I stopped but I forgot how good this movie is and has made me fall in love again.
It is now a game of 12 year olds beating the hell out of me. MISCONSTRUED BUT HAUNTING...

ONE OF THE FINEST STRESS REDUCERS OUT THERE, way better than sitting at home just tryin to "feel good" all day.
Obviously it's a luxury spo⁶rt meaning that its like golf in terms of having your own clubs (marker,/air tank/loader/etc).
Paint can be expensive, but it also use to be even more expensive when I was younger :*(.
The greatest community of people ❤ so many friends you'll meet just the nicest people willing to help you out all around every paintball field in the States.
The community alone is worth picking up the hobby...... to at least give it the good 'ole college try.
Nothing like shootin & bunkering people and just get that anger out that energy out.

The days of real paintball, xball, nppl, millennium. Was sad nppl got shut, used to go me and my friends, wander around the stadium, get backpack filled with monster, would sneak into the pro pits and ask them if they needed pod bitches, made tons of friends, those days are gone, damn do I miss SC village and Raza, you could go to Bob long and shoot the shit, walked out with solonoids and other parts for our Timmy's, then onto smart parts to check out the sft. Man I wish I could relive those days. What happened to the Game? Mwag, your a god among men, Thank you for this.
As a highschooler going through a really rough time, paintball gave me the environment i needed to continue life. We all have our issues and thoughts, sitting with my best friend who we met in middle school drooling over the timmys, shoeboxes, and my personal favorite invention, the Autococker.
My internal and recall memory of anything pball, is from this time. Met prretty much all of these ballers, had a borken noid in my alias and this G was like "can you wait five mins?" Im like yeah of course, he comes back with not one, but two noids, and a baggie of orings. If you take the jump you do meet your heros.

People forget that Bob Long took a random group of pros, taught them how to play a brand new never before played format while playing the tournament, against teams that practiced the format before and coached them to a win. It was the World Cup that they showed off XBall for the first time. If you ever see the team county Xball jersey that is from that tourney.

Also the Nations Cup event was at the IAO, not the World Cup.

I was big into paintball 7 years ago when I was 14, still rocking the proto rize I bought just as an introductory marker to use to get into the sport. My favorite thing was just going constantly, as much as I could, and playing speedball with the local guys to try and get better. Now, I'm finding myself having more time and an adult job where I can afford to play even harder, and I gotta say, I think it was what was missing from my life in the last 7 years. Thanks for making these films, they really mean a lot to me.
Man, I still watch this. The drive, the passion, the aggression, and the grit. It’s all here. If only I had an functioning time machine... There will always be something great to take from each of these players. Everything about the game in the early 2000’s was truly a gift for the world to look back on. There will always be a lot to take into now, and into the future.

Watched this 15 years ago as a sophomore in high school. Watched it again today as a grown ass man. It brought me back so hard I remember things that I thought I lost…man I miss my old Impulse..
I never used one, but those old bricks were a sight to see in these old videos.

I’m so thankful I was playing competitively at this time. I was only 15 years old playing with 20-40 year olds. Packing up in my buddies suburban 8 deep, stuffed in a one bed motel. It was odd being so young but I am so thankful because this was probably the best time in paintball. Going to CFOA had the whole city hotels/motels booked, no vacancies. I remember the only way I was able to afford the sport at 14-15 was by flipping guns on PBnation. I went through probably 50 guns in 3 years starting from a pmi piranha & wgp autococker. Traded all the way up to An Alias intimidator, dm6, Dynasty shocker, dm3, an Ego 06, and a pm5 with UL frame. We lived off Cici’s pizza and the whole team worked together to get to these tournaments. It was one of the best times in my life. Now I’m getting back into the sport and I don’t think I’ll ever relive it but it’s worth a try! Love this sport
Still have my copy on DVD.... Still watch it on the regular. Hands down I've never watched ANYTHING ELSE as many times as I've watched this!

The movie brings me to back my early days of paintball. Me and my brother watched this movie every tournament for inspiration
It was a treat seeing one of today's best players being trained by the absolute legend Bob Long. Haven't watched this in almost 15 years and it just as good as back then.
First time watching this. Growing up watching these dudes play so much respect for these dudes all of them.

I watched this movie every night before a tournament for like 3 years. Just to get me pumped and help me focus on my goals. I wanted to be like those guys. I wanted to play on XSV. I never made it that far. NXL wasn’t as popular back in 2008 when I played. We were still playing 5 man NPPL rules. Lots of east coast tournaments. I miss the thrill. But I’m old and washed up now. I will always remember the glory days.

love this whole video. Gives me chills to this day. Those ripper timmys of BL were the best shooting guns and the milling was nasty. Great to see Field One carrying on that milling style.

I was paying more attention to the hardware being used. Those XSV Autococker + Egg setups looked sweet, sure they probably weighed a ton but who cares when it looks that good!
Same here man. This is the last era of paintball I actually gave a shit about. Soon after this all the guns and gear started to look the same and every gun shot 30 bps. I really miss the days of mech cockers, angels, and impulses. Fun to watch this and reminisce but sad to know it will never be the same.

Why did you retire from doing projects? All the videos these days are soulless. I miss when the music made you feel what the players were battling with instead of it just being a silly highlight reel that doesn’t make sense.
