- A few months ago, we decided to test how well Keyscape works onstage in a large, live band setting and see how well it would hold up sonically with a lot of live instruments.
Since we are big fans of Nikko Ielasi - a killer up-and-coming player in LA, we knew that his funky group NikKollective would be ideal to come over and shoot a smokin' live version of their song “A Quest 4 Pocket” from their new album, “NikKollective Vol.2"
They are soooo TIGHT and we had an absolute blast! :-)

Nikko is triggering his Keyscape Laptop from a Roland A88 MIDI controller.
Jordan is triggering his Keyscape Laptop from a Sequential REV2 keyboard.
Patch changing on the fly done with the square MIDI Fighter Twisters.
All audio is coming from laptops.

Indeed, after watching the realistic bass sounds of Trillian I got the same idea...although I did appreciate the fresheness and groove of such an energetic live session. Anyway, I would be amazed at watching the same piece played out of Spectrasonics marvellous samples!

It's completely a different level when great musicians get together to play a great song by Nikko. Having pocket queen in the mix was fantastic. She's simply and classically a great drummer! A++++ for this masterpiece!

Love this. These young people are the future. In this current time of negativity, disease, and racial tension. I believe THIS right hear figuratively is God's real plan and intention. Watch and listen to these babies( I'm almost 65) Black, White, Female, diverse cultures and nationalities, I believe the keyboardist, Nikko is Italian, "working" , " playing" together. Young sister on drums calls herself " The Pocket Queen, played a Beyonce. Recognize some o the other musicians too from Berkely.
And the hits just keep on coming folks!...

I think you're thinking of the Atmospheric pad plug-in that Spectrasonics released before Omnisphere (I forget the name of the plug-in) but they basically took all of those atmospheric pad sounds and put them in Omnisphere along with a bunch of brand new sounds.

I know this video was all about Keyscape but I love the backup players rig with the Hammond and Rev2. Says a lot that a software program can keep up with those beautiful analog instruments.
REV2 is only used as a controller in this video...not any of its audio.

Crazy to think the least expensive instruments on that stage are the Rhodes Piano , and the Piano. So fantastic.
