Aside from the implications, the new version is pretty neat. It's almost as if that's the original version over Es's cover recorded prior to all of this. In Es's version, they mimic the tones of each character, but the version voiced by the actual characters sounds a lot more natural (especially Yuno's "FUTUREEE" bit)

I think, it's because es feels uncertain about these two? In mikoto's recent interview with es, there is part where mikoto's alter egos attacking es and then kotoko appear to save him. Maybe es felt dillema about placing these two as innocence or not. Especially toward mikoto

I'll miss Haruka and Mahiru will be missed too, but man will I miss Shidou the most out of these three! His arc was my favorite so far, Triage actually made my cold, authistic heart feel. Still, Milgram is pretty good at throwing the consequences of our actions at our faces, and erasing them here is no exception. Well, I guess the third trial will be shorter.

Besides respecting the amount of effort it took removing EVERY TRACE OF THEM (bring them back please I love them), I love the amount of differences like the static of YCC and the fact that Es' mouth doesn't move for the prisoners that are possibly dead. I believe in the theory that all the inhabitants of Milgram are actually in a dream. Milgram is having a death dream and he will decide whether a person will survive or not. The guys could have been there for various reasons. For example, Yuna and her falling down the stairs. Shido and Mahiru can safely be in the rope. It is my hope that if Mahiru and Shido are found "not guilty" in the final stage, they will come to life in the real world for themselves.
I actually have/subscribe to a similar theory to this, I read summaries of the Milgram novel back when it came out I believe, and if I remember correctly the prisoners were already dead in that? My apologies if I’m remembering incorrectly about the novel it’s been awhile. I strongly believe that maybe this is the afterlife and it’s like a judgement day situation. Idk if it is or not but I think that would be really cool. Can’t wait for trial 3 cause in the novel all of the prisoners lives were connected and I really hope they do that here it would be so cool!!

People have speculated that Amane killed him, either directly or indirectly, since she did say that she would kill him if she got voted innocent iirc
Amame promised he would receive retribution for healing Mahiru
My guess is because Amane caused Shidou’s death, no one could tend to Mahiru’s injuries so she died
Haruka's case was likely on purpose. Shidou's most likely amane, and that led to Mahiru's passing
