You were able to go up dotsero crater many years ago, but it's was limited to hiking several years back. The trail lines have not been updated on GaiaGPS so it can be confusing. All Trails, not normally a fan of it, but it has it correct Imaginary lines. Really, the best view point of the crater is from I-70 as you drive east bound.
