Audrey, now that spring is around the corner again, I was inspired by the outfits you wore with the black espadrilles and got myself a pair of very similar shoes made by Vionic. The model is called "Aruba Maris" (if anyone else is interested) and they are supremely comfortable! I will be emulating many of your ensembles to wear to work. You did such a great job choosing closet staples that all I need to do is replace the jeans and shorts for ankle trousers in the same colors, find a floral jacket, and voila, my business casual spring wardrobe is ready! Thank you very much!
I would say a good start, especially for older women, would be button up 3/4 sleeve shirts (or roll the cuffs to 3/4). And a pair of pants (black or your accent color, not usually jeans, but jeans optional) that hit at or just above the ankle. I love seeing my mom in that kind of ensemble, as it is structured more (the collar is what does it) and versatile to dress up or down. I cant say I'm the best person to ask but maybe that will help!

I love your style! I am streamlining my wardrobe but I am a total shoe girl, so I prefer simple outfits with cute shoes, like an animal print or floral brocade to add interest, but I love a classic loafer or basic color shoe as well, I’m equal opportunity when it comes to shoes! 😆 Your home is so beautiful, I would love to see a house tour and the process of refinishing your hardwood floors. I am in the process of buying a 100-year-old home and I love to see how people update classic homes while maintaining the vintage look as you have done.
This is probably the best capsule wardrobe I've ever seen. The outfits are lovely and the video shows the versatility very well. So many capsule videos over-use layering which only looks good on super-tiny bodies and is just impractical for warm weather. You have set the standard for a true capsule wardrobe. Thank you!

This video inspired my packing for two weeks in Europe. I was overwhelmed and going in every direction. You really helped narrow things down and by seeing all the outfits, I could see it all developing and now excited to wear everything.
I love purple, but I don't feel quite right buying the color for myself for my wardrobe, but I was gifted with a lilac purple spring/summer dress, and I like to wear it with light vests or scarves, because all I can afford are sports bras, for their versatility, and so lots of swingy layer work well for me. If it becomes the only, or one of only two dresses I own, I'm good shape. And scarves and lightweight vests are easy to pack!

I am your height and shape and love everything you wear! I'm too old for shorts however. Linen I love but cannot cope with the wrinkling, especially as I drive much for my work. First class video in all ways. Loved the pieces your selected, the explanations of your thought process and the outfits created. As I watched, I found myself thinking through my own pieces and found I couldn't rationalize some of them. This is really going to help me create my first capsule wardrobe, and I thank you. PS: Last week, we spent a day in Charleston for the first time and loved it. We will definitely come back some day to spend more time there. I was surprised at the size of Charleston - much larger than expected. There was a lovely scent that we enjoyed as we drove around the downtown area. Also loved the courtyards that we could see, and I've been inspired to create a little courtyard at our home in the mountains.

Very cute. I have something similar with navy, white, grey, and beige as my basic colors, with red accents (shoes, scarves, bags, or even lipstick). I have noticed that the geographical location and the number of seasons affect the capsule items tremendously. After moving to South FL, my wardrobe needs completely changed and I started gravitating towards silk fabrics like never before. Thank you for a great video!

Hi Audrey, I'm Dominique. I love good quality items, a Swiss culture. I found once a lovely Etienne Aigner leather bag for around US$ 7.- at an American thrift store. I think they didn't know that designer who is European. My biggest disappointment I had yesterday is a bag from George Rech that I thought was pure leather. After wiping it started to bubble up and little pieces of the faux leather started to fall off. I am aware living in a tropical climate (East Africa) that any faux leather and plastic disintegrate because of the salty air close to the Indian Ocean. Genuine leather survives and material. Like your videos very much.

Audrey, thanks for "mock"-up capsule. I keep a core of separates. With neutral base colors: black, grey, white and some navy. Then every year I add a few pieces in a prime color: red, green, pink, etc. But the icing on the collar = accessories. JEWELRY & SCARVES. Also, on a limited budget, I'm a THRIFT STORE QUEEN!! I try only to buy what I LOVE! Of all the jewelry I have I only have a pair of earrings I don't truly love. 1928 brand (which I love) c. 90's. They are enamel flowers on metal. Iris? Anyway, they were/are in vibrant blues. And CHEAP. But the shape isn't flattering to me. So I've worn them 4xs? in 30 yrs. I learned to buy what you love within your budget. I sometimes buy outside that but I HAVE TO BE CONSUMED WITH DESIRE to break the 🐖 bank. Also, loved your music track playing during your runway show. Keep the info coming. I'm a devoted subscriber. I love scarves for stretching my outfits. They're especially great for concealing necklines if you have a shirt and a jacket or cardigan with 2 necklines and they don't look good together.

This is a great career capsule! Do you have a capsule for us retirees that are tired of looking like we bowled for a living? Lol

Hi Audrey, I love your videos, especially the looks you put together at the end. I live in a tiny home and these are so inspirational. Although we have downsized to live this lifestyle I probably have more than I need. At least now I only purchase things to compliment what I already own.

Have very similar pink rectangle scarf...wear it often. Pink my accent color also. Lovely combos in cookbook. Just proves we don't need a lit to look stylish and feminine. Great inspiration!

Very cute. I have something similar with navy, white, grey, and beige as my basic colors, with red accents (shoes, scarves, bags, or even lipstick). I have noticed that the geographical location and the number of seasons affect the capsule items tremendously. After moving to South FL, my wardrobe needs completely changed and I started gravitating towards silk fabrics like never before. Thank you for a great video!

Hi Audrey, I'm Dominique. I love good quality items, a Swiss culture. I found once a lovely Etienne Aigner leather bag for around US$ 7.- at an American thrift store. I think they didn't know that designer who is European. My biggest disappointment I had yesterday is a bag from George Rech that I thought was pure leather. After wiping it started to bubble up and little pieces of the faux leather started to fall off. I am aware living in a tropical climate (East Africa) that any faux leather and plastic disintegrate because of the salty air close to the Indian Ocean. Genuine leather survives and material. Like your videos very much.

Audrey, thanks for "mock"-up capsule. I keep a core of separates. With neutral base colors: black, grey, white and some navy. Then every year I add a few pieces in a prime color: red, green, pink, etc. But the icing on the collar = accessories. JEWELRY & SCARVES. Also, on a limited budget, I'm a THRIFT STORE QUEEN!! I try only to buy what I LOVE! Of all the jewelry I have I only have a pair of earrings I don't truly love. 1928 brand (which I love) c. 90's. They are enamel flowers on metal. Iris? Anyway, they were/are in vibrant blues. And CHEAP. But the shape isn't flattering to me. So I've worn them 4xs? in 30 yrs. I learned to buy what you love within your budget. I sometimes buy outside that but I HAVE TO BE CONSUMED WITH DESIRE to break the 🐖 bank. Also, loved your music track playing during your runway show. Keep the info coming. I'm a devoted subscriber. I love scarves for stretching my outfits. They're especially great for concealing necklines if you have a shirt and a jacket or cardigan with 2 necklines and they don't look good together.
