Nice work guys. Reminds me of working with my old fella (god bless him) when I was a kid. He would lift the engine out of every vehicle he bought. I always got the job of grinding the valves in, the boring bit! We would work on them every weekend, happy days!
Same here mate, ive got some memories of fixing my first bike with my dad! It was a suzuki rmz125 field bike. I'll have them memories forever, now I help him fix his stuff ha ha 😂
Reminds me of working on a Suzuki 80 bike engine with my dad when I was a kid, great memories . Lovely to see you both fixing that Landy engine together .
I've seen inside a few engines and if I have 2 to chose the best bits from, I'd always take 2 apart from the start, for instance, the bottom end on your engine currently in your car might be a world away in condition from the one at your dads work ? If nothing else it would give you most of the spares you'd need and gives you choices, good heads on good bottom end etc.
I can see what you mean but we haven't got access to the ramp just yet so can't get the body off this one to remove the engine, and if we did it'd take up the ramp for weeks while we order parts and get everything built up
Amazing to see how an engine works. Its a shame the original engine is toast, but I agree the replacement with new bits is the way to go and it will still be a bargain buy. Another great bideo, and I'm looking forward to the next one
I'm glad you liked it, its still going to be cheaper than buying one running and we'll have the comfort of knowing its all good, teated and refreshed, thank you for watching 😉
It does also show that there's money to be made if you're willing to get your hands dirty and you have the right skills as well to go alongside, which you guys look to have
Yeah there is on the right things, I think liam dropped lucky with finding this engine on this one and having his dad to help, if he had to buy a second hand one off ebay or similar he'd be spending more than what the truck would sell for, thanks for the compliment mate we appreciate that
Good work as usual guys. Handy to have spare engine! A good refresh and will be good for another 100k! If you can keep the cost under £500 that’ll be a great workhorse and you’ll know it inside out! Looking forward to the next video 👍 cheers guys.
Thank you mate! He was lucky they had it lying about tbh, that was sheer luck! And yeah should be good for a long time after this. I think we'll do a price break down when it's in and running
Great to see you digging in to an engine, love this sort of content 👍 I reckon you’ll spend about £1500 before it’s where it needs to be - probably way off as I know nothing about this sort of thing 🤣
A few people like the engine work, we might have to buy a project in the future needing mechanical work rather than crash damaged, we've looked at a few flood damage car too
I wish we could mate, we somtimes struggle to get 1 out a week ha ha well if we did more like the RR and jag videos then maybe we could but there's that many hours that go into the full builds it takes ages to edit them all up, I think we will do more of the vlog style quick fix/flip type episodes as we can get them out quicker and seem to do really well
Enjoyed your video again You two make me smile. In a good way You both could be on the stage. Great double act I’m no mechanic but you explain yourselves very well Very down to earth Well done boys respect 👍

I really hope you can get that replacement engine sorted out lads as, apart from the original engine being goosed that Range Rover looks lovely both inside and out. 👍. P.S. I loved your dad's hat 😁

Thank you for that mate, we appreciate you subscribing. Some people won't have a catorgorised and that's just how they are but you could be driving a car that's been damaged worse than these ones and it be hpi clear, it just means the insurance didn't pay out on it or a claim never went it. We have a video coming out soon where a van reversed into one of our editors car and the insurance wrote it off, when you see it it'll make you laugh of how little damage there was! So unless you buy brand new you'll never fully know the history of the vehicle. Personally it doesn't bother me as long as I've seen the damage and know its been repaired properly but I suppose the average member of public wouldn't know
Well better to know whats inside of your engine..then you have a new car. A whole lot cheaper than walking into a show room..its only labour. Be good to see whats wrong with the other engine.
