Frank Cho has been doing weekly drawing videos for the last few months, and the amount of times he erases and admits mistakes is instructive. Similar to what you’re saying
I would love to see you do a spotting black video since im also sometimes having trouble on how to fill things, which make my art kinda feel empty/lacking something. Plus maybe you can talk a bit on how to combine it with inkwash
very sound advice and proccess! i also could not agree with you more when it comes to paper and use of eraser. Good stuff! Also, may as well document your inking proccess since you're going to do it anyway. 😀
In my case, time is a problem. I work sanding all day and when I get home, I don't have too much time to draw. Getting the final pencils fast is always a problem. I had to educate myself to sketch first, specially now that I'm doing pencils for my next book. It's frustrating erasing more than drawing but I understand your point and agree. Great video. See you on the next one. 🤘
"Don't fear the eraser." Ha ha. Hearing that to Blue Oyster Cult in my head now: ) Really great, inspiring talk! Sooooo relatable. I've always had the idea that when one finally gets "good," you don't have to erase or do anything but draw, draw, draw. The late, great Kim Jung Gi seemed to confirm that this was both the ultimate goal and an achievable reality. This is a much healthier way to look at things! Anyhoo, would love to see you show how you spot blacks! As I've said before, I just really love your inking style and watching you ink, so the more of that the better for me: ) Thank you again!
@badicecream2913 The remix should be in the works! 🎶🤣 Thanks so much for the comment and I'm glad the video shined new light on a previous conception you may have had. Thanks for the kind words, and stay tuned for that spotting blacks video!
For me, working digitally is incredibly freeing. Working on layers, scaling and erasing is so easy I can quickly experiment with compositions before getting into the details.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16 God bless everyone here. Jesus loves you and died for you on the cross. He did this to wash away the burden of sins, and if you open your heart to Him, He can take away the burden of your sins and give you a peace incomparable to anything in this world. ✝✝🙏
Really enjoyed your candor -- thanks for sharing your process!

Oh i am definitely subscribing i hope you do the inking for the shadows.
Thank you! That video will be out soon, stay tuned!
What kind of pen are you inking with? I like the way it varies the lines, it doesnt look like a nib or brush though
I find taking a black and white photo on your phone and looking at the photo helps you to better see issues with proportion and form
@dansteinbok7955 Oh cool, I like that! Thanks for the suggestion!
I actually draw with my eraser
Cool. That's a fun technique 👍👍

Totally. That's some of the great benefits of working digitally, for sure. Have fun with it!
Ha!….. nowadays they just label lack of technical knowledge as “my style”….

Great video. Thanks. Can I ask who is buying pictures of Peggy Carter though?
@muttdiggedy Lots of people. She's a pretty popular commission requests. Surprised me too.
