@@Chris_Sizemore Recyclers turn one driftwood into one wood. You get more from the wood chipper. You get coal from other recyclables that can't be wood chipped. My point is that if you want wood, Don't recycle driftwood, wood chip it.

You also have to give the 100 fragments to gunther at the end, so you might want to have some extra on hand to turn into fertilizer with your shiny new bone mill(s)
There is one way it can help. If you already have the shards you can turn them in early, that way if you're short on time on the last day you don't have to be worried about being locked out when you hit the gather requirement.
Just a tip to access to right side of the mines earlier! Rather than waiting before upgrading to a gold pickaxe, you can blow it up with a cherry bomb.😊

@@ghost_to_a_ghostI use the same tactic as the commenter above, what makes it even easier is having a chest and a bait generating machine (forgot name) and a couple of recycling machines next to eachother. Grab your daily bait, use it on the pots while collecting, then dump all in the chest. Select your daily choice of trash to recycle if its enough for your recycling machines and away you go. Its great, the fish can be used for the sashimi recipe too! Also, Vincent loves snails!
No diamond crystalruiuns are actually pretty bad money in the mid game you could turn iridium bar money into starfruit seeds be diamond crystalariums which takes 20-25 days to pay itself off depending on professions Definitely make crystalariums but put jade in them staircases will make you more money then diamonds

Diamonds sell for 750 every 5 days for 150 per day while star shards sell for 500 every 3 days for 144 per day. Diamonds is still the best but star shards are a close 2nd
Diamonds are much more useful than star shards. You need them to upgrade melee weapons, make fairy dust, and make gem crushers. Diamonds are also loved by 8 villagers and liked by all of the rest. If you need the gold that badly there are much better ways to make it.

Once you get a wood chipper, putting driftwood in them yields more wood than the recycling machine does.

How does anyone have a wood shortage? Forest Management is one of the easiest things in the game.

You still have to actually gather the bones within the allotted time for the bone fragment quest, so having bones in your inventory will not help.

If you need more driftwood and other fishing trash, run some crab pots. Putting pots on the farm is an easy way to get trash every day.

Using wild bait for fishing quests cuts the time to taken by (what feels like) an unbelievable amount.

I have hundreds of hours in this game and the only thing I learned from this video is that you can use the scythe to "pick" your crops.
BTW, you can also put earth crystal in a crystalarium. I use one crystalarium for earth crystal
