    I know this video is old but would you mind doing a video testing different laundry detergents, just to see which one works best in real world testing.

    It’s a great video, thanks so much.
    In the wash cycle where the permanent press there is Heavy/ Medium/Light , my question what are these for?
    Do they mean the amount of load? Or the amount of dirt?
    Also the same on the whites .
    Thank you.

    Liked the video very much, thank you, I find that if you put the parameters of the cold, hot and warm water in the beginning of each section, it will be even better. Once you start the section about cold, put the brackets of Celsius and Fahrenheit.

    Great video Tommy! I think a ton of people really can't nit-pick to such a degree due to sheer variety of fabrics and washing clothes for multiple people in as few loads as possible (time crunch, conservation of water, electricity). For myself, I've always gone with Cold, delicate (mostly blended/elastic cotton-spandex, modal, and my favorite, nylon) - I really favor longevity and keeping elasticity.

      Try and stick with one thing then. Like, 100% cottons for everything on the skin, bedding and towels and just use white only so you can wash it hot.

    I didn't even know the washer could heat water. I thought it just used more hot water when I set it to hot until I received a notice from the power co. saying to wash with cold water during peak hours.

    Good info. I gave up years ago. Everything goes in cold. My washer (and I think yours) has a cold water and tap water setting. I've always wondered how a washer distinguishes the difference??? Speed wash for everything except super soiled then goes on deep clean. Spray and Wash is my friend. lol. Too, too many choices. Interesting information.

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the choices have really skyrocketed over the year with all the new fabrics that have come out!🙂

    Great info...But you didn't talk about the "percise fill" option. Are you better off using that instead of guessing what size load you have?

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So the precise option is on the newer models. It’s nothing special it just senses the water level automatically for you so you dont have to worry about adjusting it manually (selecting small, medium, large, etc). Kinda like driving an automatic transmission vs stick shift.

    Question about load size that I can’t find the exact answer to anywhere: load size directly affects how much water is used? If set to small, it’ll use a little bit of water, if set to XL, it’ll use a lot? If you put only a few clothes in but have it set to XL (as my roommate does almost every time) is that bad?

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct. For some washer all you can choose is “load size.” This directly effects how much water is used👍

    So, can I throw darker colored or pure black cotton socks/underwear in the hot wash with all the white socks/underwear, or should they be separately washed in cold? Warm?

      Separate

      Wash all in hot, most won't fade anyways all clothes have a maximum shrinkage. Meaning if you wash with clothes it will shrink the same with hot water but it will take 5-10 cold washes to shrink fully but. 1 with hot

    Am I the only annoyed when garments say wash cold at 30 Celsius. That’s not cold it is essentially 85 Fahrenheit which the temperature is technically cool. Do I set it on cool or cold? I wish it could be simple like in the UK where the machines have the actual temperatures and take the guessing game out.

    Good info on your videos, but all detergents in this day and age, are made for cold water. People never have to use hot water, and their clothes will be just as clean!

    • @CleanWithConfidence

      Glad you found the info valuable. Not all of them are made for cold water though. There are still indeed several that require hot water.
