But if you pay outside e.g. Western Union etc that's outside Alibaba services.. the wire transfer Alibaba is the company account it's attached to it. Before paying the remaining 70% you can request a cheap on-site inspection and once you get the products pictures and other information you can pay off the balance

That way you still have 70% of your money and all the leverage. If the products are defect the supplier will fix it because they want that last 70%

Most of these suppliers are on both platforms. Ask your supplier to open a trade assurance on Alibaba. This way Alibaba covers you in case you don't get your products.

It’s very common just ask your supplier and they’ll send you a 30% alibaba payment link and after goods are ready for shipping and inspection is done you’ll pay the remaining 70%

Hi I haven't tried western union. For deposits I pay 30% with my credit cards and for the 70% I pay via TT (bank transfer)

what do you mean when the goods are ready? is it not the same thing as paying 100 % upfront if you're paying the remaining 70% when they are ready as they have still not been shipped, so if they were gonna scam you I don't think it would make a difference? please explain this if you can thank you
Before paying the remaining 70% you can request a cheap on-site inspection and once you get the products pictures and other information you can pay off the balance

@@brigantirobert You can but Trade assurance is basically a scam. What you need to do is to inspect it yourself with an inspection company before shipment. That way you still have 70% of your money and all the leverage. If the products are defect the supplier will fix it because they want that last 70%

They don’t refund you! I have escalated my case for refund, they kept asking me for evidence, I gave them evidence 4 times, but they still keep asking me for evidence. It’s been two months now, I am going nowhere.
They are using the delay tactics, until you give up. They are very good at that.
