Yes, but it was a good match up and a fair gentleman contest. Alonso is still a legendary player so don't disrespect him and say he suffered. He didn't suffer he lost respectfully and played great. This is why everyone hates Barca and Madrid fans. Alonso played Messi a lot at his peak any midfielder in history would have got spanked by Messi. Messi has to be the strongest, fittest, most agile individual to evee olay the game. The amount of times he's been kicked, elbowed, fell on, pulled down, stomped, abused on field, man handled, brutalized, would left the average person crippled or injured for life, or quit.
I swear man, he's been hacked and brutalized since his teenage years, but still going strong after all this time, he is just extraordinary.

Ronaldo is a top 10 player all time the 2nd greatest in his generation with Messi as the 1st but i think Messi is above Ronaldo due to his Dribbling Passing Playmaking Goalscoring and the clinger Influence and Consistency over 90 minutes and in multiple aspects of the game.

I'm from the Philippines where football is not the most popular sport. But when I saw Messi play on TV I knew right away that he is the best player in the world. That was 2008. It's 2020 now and Messi is still the best player in the world.
