I am first and foremost a BABYMETAL fan, and BM has made me a reaction watcher and exposed me to many artists I otherwise might not have ever encountered. And even though I am a huge BM fan, Diana Ankudinova is my screen saver. Her voice and life story are amazing and I consider her one of the greatest vocal treasures to ever be born. simply un-worldly. She is some sort of mythical creature!

Been following Diana from Houston for more than half a decade since she was 14...she has some addictive qualities to her voice that I haven't been able to shake. She has many amazing performances and she is still attending GITIS (The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts) in Moscow (in her last semester before graduation). If you go alll the way back to Diana singing the Beatles Oh Darling at 10 years old you can hear her deep, powerful voice even then...she's magical.

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".
In time Diana will become a truly great singer and if Russia's awful war of aggression in Ukraine ends maybe she will eventually get the international recognition she deserves

Been following Diana from Houston for more than half a decade since she was 14...she has some addictive qualities to her voice that I haven't been able to shake. She has many amazing performances and she is still attending GITIS (The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts) in Moscow (in her last semester before graduation). If you go alll the way back to Diana singing the Beatles Oh Darling at 10 years old you can hear her deep, powerful voice even then...she's magical.

She did 9 songs in this "The Show Mask Go On" series, and won handily against 8 seasoned veterans. DEE ANNA is a Russian singer and is just 18 here. This was her opening performance on the Russian TV show ShowMaskGoOn where the nine participants judge each other's performances. All except Diana, who was by far the youngest, were seasoned professional singers, and the man who stood up at the end is a world famous opera singer married to an even more world famous opera singer. Diana ultimately won the competition. One video of Diana's, in my sight, is a total masterpiece the like of which I don't remember ever seeing before in my long life. It's a must see for anyone that loves singing with unending emotion. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Ornery (or "Fastidious" or "Finicky") Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice.
