Есть много талантливых, вокально одарённых исполнителей, которые выходят на сцену как на будничную, рутинную работу в офис. Они красиво выступили, ушли и через небольшое время память об этом событии растворяется в суете жизни.
Сказать подобное об исполняемых Дианой песнях категорически невозможно. Она не просто поёт текст и ноты, а словно является центром мощнейшего эмоционального торнадо и трансформирует окружающее пространство в неосязаемый новый мир, проникающий до глубинного уровня наших душ.
Стоит ещё отметить, что Диана не безучастный «генератор эмоций», а, напротив, сама переживает в своих песнях каждый момент, не остаётся равнодушной. Для интересующихся её творчеством слезинки на глазах Дианы совсем неудивительны, особенно после исполнения мощного по эмоциональному накалу произведения.
Я очень редко слушаю эту песню Дианы, она очень тяжёлая эмоционально, всегда слезы. Девочка гениальна. Спасибо вам за такую реакцию.

I am a Canadian man who is 76. I discovered Diana in the middle of 2023 while following Dimash and hearing his reviewer’s recommendation to listen to and watch Diana. This is my favourite performance by Diana, and she is now my favourite singer/performer. I know her history and background. Vysotsky’s poetry is magnificent and immediately recognized by someone my age. To watch and hear Diana’s interpretation is magical. How, at her young age, is she able to communicate it so passionately and so well. She ends it in tears, and so did I the first time.

Глухаря", - это с её стороны поступок Отчаянной Храбрости ! Девочка в 17 лет взялась исполнить известнейшую песню всеми любимого и почитаемого в России ( и СССР) актёра театра и кино, поэта, барда Владимира Высоцкого, с его уникальной манерой и тембром голоса, мужскую песню, - это ЧТО ТО!
Поклонники Дианы тогда испугались за неё, - она ещё не обладала устойчивым авторитетом, признанием, популярностью. Я, прежде чем включить запись 3 раза перекурил... Но произошло чудо, - Диана справилась великолепно! Это пожалуй лучшее исполнение после самого Высоцкого. А Диана сделала тогда очередной шаг к вершине творчества.....

То, что человек, имеющий за плечами немалый жизненный опыт, способен кое-что существенное понять и почувствовать из этого представления - неудивительно. Для российского слушателя эта песня - не только метафора жизненного пути, но и важное свидетельство о самом авторе этой песни. Он понимал, что ходит по краю пропасти, но не хотел - и не мог - ничего с этим сделать. Мы можем примерить это на себя - и задуматься. Самое удивительное здесь то, что это примерила на себя совсем юная девушка. Она сделала это в высшей степени убедительно и тем самым сказала нам кое-что очень важное о себе. О мощном потенциале драматической актрисы, который в ней есть; о своей способности выражать сильные, трагичные эмоции; о своей потребности говорить о вещах глубоких, затрагивающих самую суть нашей жизни. Для подобных высказываний ей необходим подходящий материал, в том числе такой, как песни Высоцкого. Какой из этого вывод? Поп-музыки - в которой она чувствует себя наиболее уверенно - ей никогда не будет достаточно. Время от времени она просто будет вынуждена выходить далеко за её пределы, чтобы давать выход своей глубинной творческой сущности, своей потребности высказываться в полную силу так, как это в неё заложено природой...

@@user-wu4ot6fc6j Что мы знаем о Высоцком? Что большую часть своей жизни он прожил с демоном внутри - который в итоге свёл его в могилу. Мы не можем сказать, что он проиграл: его творческий дух оказался настолько сильным, что позволил ему творить и бороться до самого конца. Он как будто сжигал свою жизнь и питал своё творчество этой энергией. Он как будто умел превращать отрицательную демоническую энергию в созидательную, творческую. Вопрос, который наиболее для меня интересен: что бы у нас в итоге осталось от Высоцкого, преодолей он своего демона в самом начале творческой карьеры? Это было бы нечто совсем другое, и боюсь, не настолько сильно действующее, как то, что вышло в реальности. Этот же вопрос можно задать по поводу многих, многих других: Есенин, Блок, Георгий Иванов; Фитцджеральд, Фолкнер, Стейнбек, Хемингуэй... Этих гениев, одержимых демонами, было слишком много, чтобы от этого вопроса можно было просто так отмахнуться. В отличие от значительной части этих поэтов, писателей и музыкантов, Высоцкий, повторюсь, бился до конца - хорошо понимая, что этот конец близок. А значительная их часть или сдавалась, признав поражение (например, самоубийство), или теряла большую часть своего творческого дара задолго до конца. Вот часть тех мыслей, которые приходят мне в голову относительно Высоцкого...

Он чувствовал что скоро умрёт и просил, жизнь не торопиться. В данном случае кони это аллегория - жизнь, которая несётся и ведёт его к смерти. И он просил смерть не спешить, дать ему хоть немного ещё пожить до петь ему свои песни и доделать прочие дела.
И Высоцкий не ошибся, он вскоре умер от передозы наркотиков 1980г. А Диана исполняя эту песню расчувствовалась потому, что умерла её преподаватель по вокалу с которой она и разучивать эту песню.

The songwriter was a massive alcohol and drug user. He wrote this song about 10years before he died in his early 40's.
In this symbolic song, The horses represent his lifestyle. - he knew he wouldn't live for long, unless he changes;
But at the same time he also knew that he wasn't able to change.

The song is/was indeed very well known in Russia. The author, Vladimir Vysotsky is a cultural giant, even though he died more than 40 years ago, and this song is one of his most highly regarded. It comes with a ton of cultural baggage, comparable maybe to Stairway to Heaven in the west. It's a little funny that Diana said "people ask me to do a song by Vysotsky, so I learned Ornery Horses". It's kind of like saying "people said I should learn to use some kind of vehicle, so I learned to fly a 747"

Picky horses are a metaphor for time. The hero of the song drives his horses over a cliff, but, anticipating his own imminent death, begs them not to ride so fast, so that the final journey will last at least a little longer.

I felt the lyrics because they're relatable.
Knowing the context of this song adds more meaning. A famous poem set to music written by a Russian Poet who dwells on his personal addictions (the Ornery horses) which are driving him to destruction. Diana captures and embodies the desperation and emotions captured in the poem.
I did that research. That's why it hit me. I can't slow my horses down either.

This is one of the most moving of Diana's interpretations. As you have noticed, she lives the song as if she was herself the author, and she is only 18!
Vladimir Vyssotsky is for me the greatest Soviet poet, nothing less than a genius. He wrote parabolic texts to get around censorship.
In this one, he talks about himself (he burnt his life, he was an alcoholic and then a drug addict), he feels carried away to death and asks for a little more time. The horses are a metaphor for his life, which has become uncontrollable... His funeral in Moscow was attended by over a million people and remains the largest unofficial event of the Soviet era

The plot of the song "fastidious horses (moody, naughty)"
The hero of the song drives horses along a cliff over a precipice through wind and fog. He feels that death is near, but this causes him "disastrous delight." The hero urges the horses to disobey the whip and ride "a little slower." He dreams of stopping at the edge for a moment more to water the horses and finish the verse.
The hero has a premonition of how he will die - he will be "swept away by a hurricane from the palm of his hand", and his body will be carried in a sleigh through the morning snow. He again urges the horses to slow down their running so that the "path to the last shelter (grave)" does not end so quickly.
But the path is over - "we made it, we can't be late for a meeting with God." The hero asks an unanswered question - does he hear angels singing with "evil voices", a sobbing bell under the arc of a team, or his own voice calling for horses to slow down and let him, if not live, so "at least finish singing!" (while a number of commentators draw attention to the fact that if the hero really hears his own the voice, then he hears it from the other side of the border between the two worlds).
The author of the song Vladimir Vysotsky predicted his fate. For many years, he drove his creativity with alcohol, and then began to relieve fatigue and tension with morphine. Vladimir died eight years later in his sleep. His friend couldn't buy morphine for him.

Я был на двух концертах Высоцкого и был потрясён как он общается с людьми, ему было что сказать и он умел и развеселить и вызвать состраданин. Я был студентом, мне очень понравились баллады и шуточные песни, но всю глубину лирики Высоцкого я прочуствовал уже когда закончил учёбу и столкнулся с реалиями жизни. Поэтому очень удивился решению Дианы начать со взрослой драматической лирики. Ведь у Высокого есть прекрасные "менее взрослые" песни.

I also believe the horses are representative of the vices we choose that shorten our destiny. To pull back the reigns is a conscious decision one must take to stop giving in to those vices. Vladimir Vysotsky known for his unique singing style and for his lyrics...from what I understand he wasn't recognized by the Soviet cultural establishment but was largely loved and admired across the land. I'm sure some actual Russians will come in and fill in the blanks. I'm sure a woman attempting this song was not even thought of before Diana probably. You should find the original and you will instantly understand what I mean. IMO this song is more sentimental for Russians than it is a showcase for her talent since she only pushes a small portion of her talent for this....although she likely sings this song better than any woman I can think of. You can find this song titled Fastidious horses, Finicky Horses or Capricious Horses if you look for his original work.

This video of Diana's, in my sight, is a total masterpiece the like of which I don't remember ever seeing before in my long life. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Ornery (or "Fastidious" or "Finicky") Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. I couldnt see what translation you were seeing, but if it was awkward in parts look for another version, the more difficult to do translation capture the imagery from the Russian version into the proper poetic english and that makes the metaphor of emotions shine through brilliantly
I'm not sure of the accuracy of the translation either. What I did get was incredibly relatable considering I'm a recovering alcoholic and stroke survivor
