Not a pianist, but I love these two musicians, which is why I clicked on the video. Just a small thing I noticed when you pointed out how Tigran can create melodies that feel very alive, kind of like a wind player that can shape the tone of their instrument much better: He also does this timing wise, not just with melodies. The Cave of Rebirth demonstrates this well. There's a very pulsating feel to the drum groove. Might be more because of how the drums are played and less because of Tigran, but it's a very cool and interesting effect. It almost feels like the piece is breathing.
The section starting around 5:38 is even more beautiful at a slower tempo! This video introduced me to your channel, thank you for this wonderful analysis and keep up the great work!
Dude this video is very helpful I've been following him for a while a couple years now and he is phenomenal along with Brad this is really really a good video we could use a lot more of these❤
Plum! Love this style so much. I actually practiced this Brad Mehldau transcription of Resignation a while ago, and started to study perpetual motion from your great book. But then got caught into practicing the many other things out there that one can spend time with… Anyway, this motivates me to look again into perpetual motion.
@jeremysiskind this is an awesome video! I was wondering if i could purchase a copy of your version of Tigran's What the Waves Brought transcription! ❤
Perpetual Motion reminds me of Lubomyr Melnyk's "Continuous Music" style of fast 1-to-1 counterpoint. "Perpetual Motion" and "Continuous" sound more-or-less the same but are two totally different concepts! Crazy!
Thanks for your interest! It is too expensive for me personally to ship to foreign countries. You can either order through my site or you can order a hard copy through Amazon. I really appreciate your interest!

Literally my two favourite musicians.

Nice! That version of Resignation never ceases to amaze me. I think it’s really unbelievable piano playing!
Plum... Interesting stuff. Many thanks. Like your composition at the end.

Jeremy, I went on your website and tried to buy your books, but I couldn't find the shipping taxes for France. Could you help me?

@@JeremySiskind Thanks Jeremy, I Baught the 3 books on Amazon, and get them in a few days!
Great lesson as always! Only a quick heads up on the spelling of Tigran Hamasyan that I think should not have the “a” between the s and the y 😊
You are so right! Thank you - changed!
You kind of sound like Russell ferrante when you're talking
Can you do a tutorial with Stevie Wonder?
